Southeast Shred # 3 Saturday 26th

Saturday Feb. 26th in Murfreesboro, TN (30 miles SE of Nashville) at the Middle Tennessee State University Recreation Center from 1-5 P.M. this will be the 3rd & final session before April when the Southeastern Regionals hit in Augusta, GA. In the past, these sessions have been extremely informal. So let's have some competition this time. We'll start the events at 2:00 & see what happens after that. If you want to bring you're own music for your shred 30 please do. It's only $3 admission for non-MTSU students. Also some informal shred the following Sunday for those sticking around.

open: shred 30, sic 3, & sic 1
intermediate: shred 30, sic 3, & doubles net
novice: 4-square

This shred is also a party for the Sporque Footbag Club of Nashville celebrating its two year anniversary. Suggestions are welcome. I'm trying to find things for us to do after the shred, but i know i lot of the kids are not quite 18 years old yet. Other things we can do at the Recreation Center including swimming & rock climbing. The campus theater is playing a screening of "The Incredibles" at 6:00 if you're into that. There are a couple arcades nearby & there's a great pool hall that's all ages.

things to know about the Recreation Center:
1.) the rec. center is for MTSU students only. if you are not a student post a response in this topic, PM, e-mail, or call me and let me know. i need to start a guest list of attendees to hand in at the front desk in order to let the clueless employees know that you are permitted to enter.
2.) shirts are required at all times - it prevents puddle slippage
3.) no outside beverages are permitted within the Rec. Center and drinks are not allowed within the gym area. however, you may purchase them & quench your thirst in the lobby areas. there are water fountains nearby in the gym next to the shred area if you just can't stop playing.

on a side note, have the dates for the Southeast Regionals been changed to the following weekend of the 22-24 of April? does anyone know?

Yeah, the dates have been changed to the 22-24 of April.
I spoke to Ben about over the phone.
I guess he just hasn't officially changed it on the .org site.

Any word from Chrissy? As far as I know ben barrows and andrew coleman are the only confirmed from GA. Knoxville has confirmed that they are NOT coming because they have other commitments. Ben from Murfreesboro still has a badly sprained ankle and he's not going to be recovered on time, so he's going to hang out and watch.

i badly sprained my ancle yesterday and the doc said that i tore some ligaments and that not to run for about 6 weeks but nothin about footbag so im good 8D

i have to agree with dustin. you guys are a bunch of cry babies! in order for everybody to play i'll be sure to bring some leeches for everyone's freshly severed appendages. too busy? i've got 3 senior level exams coming up (Friday - Historical Geology, Monday - Geomorphic Regions of the U.S., and Tuesday - Cartography) and i'm hosting the thing. for petes sake... suck it up!
