it's a one of a kind hollowbody that I got a few years ago when I was in college. it was made by a builder in New Brunswick named Paul Echols. It's got seymour duncan Jeff Beck humbuckers, an out of production Schaller Roller bridge, an ebony fretboard, gotoh tuners, and a bolt on neck. the neck is very straight and the action is very low. The pickups sound nice and warm, but can have a lot of bite for lead playing. It's a nice guitar, I really love it.

The fretboard is inlaid (not painted) with abalone, gold, mother of pearl, and real ivory salvaged from junked pianos. There's also inlays on the headstock, volume / tone knobs, headstock, and the little plate that covers the spot where the neck joins the body. the inlays are in a dolphins and bubbles theme. The guitar came to me the way it is, it wasn't a custom job. I like that about it, though. I would never have asked for dolphins on my guitar, nor would I pay for that kind of detail work in general, but they were there when I bought it, and I love them.

It really is a gorgeous guitar. But what I love even more about it is that you love it so much. You can tell from the way you talk about it that you adore your guitar and that it is your passion to play. That's the best part in my opinion.

Nice shirt, Alex.
heh, nice catch Sam. I was gonna wait and see if anyone would notice. One really funny occurence at CP was when Scott Bevier had to explain to Yacine what my shirt meant. The conversation ended with, "and now he's a man."
