X-SPIN

Post by ericksonj »

Ok, so I don't get this concept and am confused on it. I've looked around a bit on the forum with no real answers except peoples feelings on the issue. Also searched .org. I would like to know if xspin is even counted and accepted at worlds or any tournaments for that matter. I don't care about adds but I don't want to sound like a moron either.

Here are a few theories I've run across.
Some people say xspin is awarded to all inspinning moves. (what I thought from reading some stuff on the forum)

Some people say it is awarded after two full spins.

And others say that it is awarded only after a dex, such as leaning.

And there are others too...

Anyone care to enlighten me?

my limited understanding of x spin was that it was awarded after a move that has 2 full rotations or more, so twin-spinning and double spining would get it, but inspining would not. i haven't really heard much about it for some time now, and when i did last hear about it, it was at the begining of my freestyle career, so i might not have fully understood. there really isn't a big debate out there about it, as there is with x dex, so i don't know what you're going to find. i'm going to take a wild guess and say it's not accepted and it's not used in competition. i think we will need some one with the rule book to give us the down low other wise there are going to be one million posts that start off some thing like "my limited understanding of x spin was that it was awarded..."

oh yeah, james you guys need to finish your website...

i have trouble awarding x-dex with out feeling guilty, but x-spin seems so iffy. especially double spinning osis, because you can totally pull that through. inspinning osis doesn't feel like a 5 either. a hard 4, totally, an easy 5... i dunno about that.
