Motivation

Post by mosher »

What is driving you right now?

It can be anything or a mix of things.

For me I am driven by the desire to continue the exciting process of progress.

I am inspired by all the other players that seem so inspired lately. It seems like alot of players are feeling really excited lately.

Also, I want to get amazing and that takes work I guess.

So again, what is driving you?

Being respected.

Also relieving stress is a big thing, like when teenage girls are being the vile little demons that they are, I just go shred alone when I'm not sure how to voice what's on my mind.

edit: and Tom Mosher.

Oh, and someone who wrote me and told me that after kicking with me they went home and extensively drilled their butterflies and osii. That's heart-warming.

Homer: Finally we get to see what makes me tick!
Bart: I`m guessing it`s bitterness and rage.
Homer: Yes, but in what ratio?

Lately I've beginning to notice more aspects of my stance, my balance, and the muscles in my torso and legs I tend to favor. I've been more motivated about playing cause I now have more things I can work on specifically and fix.

edit: also I've been having more fun playing footbag now that I've got a new 32 panel and new pair of white lavers. My old pair of red lavers felt heavy and didn't break in as nicely as my previous pair of white lavers.

"Bart: I`m guessing it`s bitterness and rage."

heh, no really. actually its partly bitterness...i always wanted to show up my older brothers who wouldnt let me "hack" with them because i was young and sucked. but now...i dunno. lots of reasons, its a cool thing to do, its exercise, its sociable, and i love schooling new stuff.

What drives me is continuing to push my body to do things it couldn't do just a month ago. For example, when i think about trying to hit fury>atomic whirl now, it seems tough. But in a month, I am going to hit it. And when i do, Im going to feel suh a huge natural high because of the fact that I was able to overcome my body's natural inclination to NOT hit that combo. I will have been the master of my body, at least for than 1.2 second span in which it took to hit the combo. I love hitting new tricks and combos.

this probley sounds kinda bad but i think this is my fuel, knowing that there are 30 kids at my school who are geting in to footbag and every one looks at me and thinks im like the best, when i dont compare my self to that, and i just drive my self to push so hard to get better to show ppl more of what real good freestyles all about.

altho being the best sucks big time, to many questions to awnser for every question i get there is 5 more that fallow. and i have no one to learn from. but damn these kids are geting the basics fast. cant wait for summer when i can shred with them all.
