We gallopped to the doors, gripped the handle and eased open the unlocked doors to the goshdarn prettiest scene ever. The studio is MASSIVE! The walls are lined with mirrors, the lighting is even and shadowless and the floor was a grippy smooth hardwood. We didn't have access to the stereo system but that didn't matter, we had a kick ass training lab.
Dude, that basically describes the room to a T that we (Rain City Shred) play in; even down to the not having access to the stereo :?

Tom, if you have a YMCA in your area check it out, 'cause I bet they'd hook you up with a room like that.

Well I finally went and ordered some facile!

The time has come, I shall be a proper stitcher soon.

I wasted today so bad, I am pretty mad at me for that. Tomorrow I will come around and be less of a wad.

Also, no footbags came in the mail today. :(

Maybe that means monday will be the big day.

Oh, I forgot to mention, but the colours of facile I got are "Mirage", "Eclipse", "Flash Red" and "Tulip". Heh, I couldn't resist the first two,

I slept all day today, what the fuck?

I want to go back to bed but I will hopefully get off my ass and drill a bit first.

I'm such a loser.

I just solo shredded, here's what I did:

- drilled ducking clippers alot, they are getting better, I want to attack them like Moran
- drilled my sets, I did pixie set>atomic same toe>fairy set>fairy set repeat
- my shuffle was kinda on, I really like shuffle now. It is exciting feeling being in the zone holding down a string of unique shuffle. I love it when I can plan my shuffle a few tricks in advance and I get to wing it. That feeling of control is great.
- I have started double downing alot! Yes! I definately remember to use them in strings and they are consistent enough that I actually hit them too.
I was drilling the pattern barfly>osis>infinity repeat for a while, it was helpful for getting used to chucking out barflies whenever.
- My paradox whirls were on tonight! I satisfied my blurry urge and hit a blurry whirl each side first try, that made me smile.
- I was talking with Jorden yesterday and he was saying that only a small handfull of people have a reverse whirling/bubba set, I gave it a go and I can totally reverse whirling set! huzzah! I was trying to hit reverse whirling whirl (blang bling?) and reverse whirr (REALLY CLOSE)
Also, I was sooo damn close to my first few attempts at whirr, I should put that one down in a few days.
- I was trying symp whirling twirl too, that felt so sick.
- I hit symposium reverse whirling ss clipper
- I hit ripped warrior on the side I had never hit it on before!
- my barraging is alllllmost there! watch out vasek! I can do pretty consistent midtime barrages now which I bet is pretty important for learning to do barraging sets.
- I drilled moshing set a little, I was pretty close to moshing butterfly on my weak moshing side. I found it is important to focus more on the swirl leg and the mirage dex will just happen.

I would just like to restate my excitement regarding the fact I finally ordered facile! I have been putting it off for so long!

I ran out of material so this is a necessary step, I am happy it happened.

I just talked to Vida on the phone. She is so fucking awesome!

She shredded on the train (the FOUR DAY train ride) and she has been playing in her hotel.

I get so inspired talking to her! She fills me with exciting ideas and I always find myself smiling and laughing around her.

I think when I am talking with Vida I am the most like "me" I have ever felt. I feel really comfortable interacting with her. I hope one day she gets brave enough to shred with me.

I just blackified the soles of my climas, they look 10% more badass. I am so very tempted to go all black on them. I added stripes to the insides today, that looks pretty cool.

I love pimping my ride.

Ok, I just got today started correctly.

I woke up, showered and shaved. I mounted a crisp collared shirt and a tie.

I have not smoked any weed and it is 11:10 AM, so far so good.

Today I will not smoke until 10 PM, that is a worthy goal.

Baby steps right?

If I fail that task I will break one of my own fingers.

I ran out of food in the house again..

I fucking hate money, I am going to be wildly wealthy really soon and I will blow it all on a spaceship or something.

The plan for today is to get lots of school work done because I just wasted a week of alone working time because I am a waste of a person.

    I will not fail!!!!!!!!!

Thanks John.

I have sorta realized that all my big windows of progression happen during the periods where I play every day, thus I have begun playing everyday. I am at like.. 3 or 4 days now.

I want to hit barroque, I bet it feels really good.

I think I can hit flurry soon too, I just have to move my barrages a little more towards uptime and I think I will have enough space to squeeze out a legover.

I need to figure out what my problem is with diving. I have been drilling ducking alot and I can't seem to transfer over what I have learned as easily as I had hoped. I want to hit 10 alternating ducking clippers tonight, I have hit 5 a few times though they still always feel semi-flukey. At least I do them in strings now, I hit ducking clip>ripwalk yesterday midstring, that was a new combo for me.

Ooh! I just remembered another new combo. I have a tendency to bail to far legover alot, I decided last night that if I am going to do that I may aswell turn that into something cool. I hit osis>far legover>fairy ducking butterfly.

I don't know what my stance is on guiltlessness. I know I can go guiltless if I really want but I don't. Why not? I'm not sure. I think I like padding my strings with some 2's here and there to work on my string length. I would take 30 contacts with some 2's over 6 guiltless contacts any day.

I think i need to focus on string length more. Though.. if I am doing that I should really pick at which level. Maybe I should keep track of my longest tiltless and guiltless strings are and continually try to push those records.

I will make note of that tonight.

Shit, I need to get my Sick 3/1 on tape, I really want to participate in this competition, I think everyone else should too if they can.

In fact, if anyone CAN get a video in PLEEEAAAASE do!
I think the comps are far more interesting with alot of people competing in them. Also, Cole puts alot of work into them and it's not very nice of us to just sit back and watch them without helping to make them happen.

Hmm.. what could I hit for my sick 3?
My old one is still kinda hard for me...

I just listed a bunch of possible sick 3's then deleted them, I want what I come up with to be unexpected.

I hope that the sick 3 battle is close, it's not as fun when there is a runaway winner, that is why lots of submissions are required!

OH MAN!!!!!!!!

MODIFIED!!

AHHH!!!

I MISSED YOU! KISS KISS KISS!!

I can't believe I didn't have access to modified for day's until I saw that Colin Kenedy posted that you can access modified from footbag.modevia.com and it brought it back to life!

where do I start?

Saturday I finally pulled up my pants and did a day without weed as an experiment for Ken.

I did school work all day (I am serious!) and then at 8 PM I hit the sack. The footbag that is. I driilled and drilled and wound up slaying my alternating clipper record by hitting 9! It juust missed my foot on the 10th too. Hah, I felt in so much control I thought to myself around 7 "I'm gonna do like.. a million." *duck* *duck* *duck* *drop* "Damn."

I don't really remember many of many other highlights from that sesh, anyways I went and sat down and started talking to Erik Chan and told him "I am going to go hit Janiwalker because I can."

Then I went and drilled it for a few minutes until I hit it both sides!

Hah!

Then I pulled out the camera and hit it on film and made this little clip:

http://www.footbag.org/media/344/tom%20 ... walker.mpg

That was pretty exciting.

I felt really accomplished that I had gone all day 90 % sober (I had some "Concerta" which is a study drug that is a cousin of the famous ritalin that I lived on for years  ) and I actually did school work and then shredded ALL before smoking ANY weed!

Yesss, I totally can do it. I think I get more done too.

One less than great feature of the ritalin family of drugs is that they can really suppress your appetite. Yesterday I just had a big breakfast at around noon and then forgot to eat for the rest of the day. The next thing I injested was a few beers when my friend sandy came over to do some homework while I edited and then obsessively watched my janiwalker video.

Hah, isn't it neat how my barraging progress was documented on here and then it came together and worked!

I stayed up stupid late after sandy left. I wasn't even doing anything cool.
I stayed up until 4:30 AM or something, late enough that I had a hangover already.

I was in dismay over the lack of modified in my life.

I have been aching for my blog to vent all these things that have happened, I am so glad to finally be able to get it out.

I woke up today and Derrick convinced me that we should session ASAP.

I told Sandy I would meet her for breakfast at this restaurant called the epicure. The plan was to chow breakfast then part ways and get shit done.

Unfortunately right when I woke up I smoked from my bong and in stark contrast to yesterday I had little to no desire to get far from off my ass.

I was late for getting sandy for breakfast and I smashed her in with the door when I opened it, oops!

I frigging love having eggs and sausage made for me, that is such a delicacy for me.

We ate, I paid (I owe her lots of money I think), we parted ways.

I got to my house after buying some candy and gatorades (to replenish our electrolytes!) for jamming with derrick.

He got there right after I arrived which was fortunate, I felt like i was really pushing it since he told me he was leaving for his bus at 12.

I got this genious idea to turn my Mr Potatoe head into a bong (Baked Potatoe Head, of course) and to accomplish that we had to go to the head shop down the street.

We got there and to our surprise our friend Matt was there. He came to last weeks KFM meeting and he is the guy that thanked me over and over for the both sided stuff I told him about.

He was buying a glass base for a houka that he smashed.

I saw a sweet ass bong and HAD to have it.

It is so gosh darn big and pretty. It is a brown smoked glass really tall bong. It has a nice floral pattern ground into it and a REALLY base, it feels quite sturdy.

After finalizing our purchases we headed back to my place, we HAD to try out the new bong! hahah

It's soooo smooth and nice and big. The chamber is just the right size, like.. a lungfull or so.

I like the idea of saving smoking weed for the end of the day as a reward for a long day of hard work. That sounds pretty reasonable.

The three of us left my place and walked to campus to go shred in the gym mat spot.

As Matt and I headed through the front door I had my eyes up looking where the ID checker guy sits and totally didn't notice as I KICKED A FRIGGING BABY TO THE FLOOR!!

AHH!
hahahaah
It was a total accident but I flattened this 1-2 yearold as I entered the building because I didn't see it!

The father ran over and I appologized as sincerely and dramatically as I could for punting his kid.

OOPS!

Derrick brought a stereo and I brought CD's so we were hooked up.

As it turns out that is a totally kosher place to play a stereo, heeelloooo best spot everrrrr.

We shredded alot and filmed a bit.

I made this video out of the best clips.

*Note* This is a spoiler of sorts if you watch this before the Sick 3 comp has been run since I attempt the sick 3 that I ultimately hit for the comp in this video.

If you don't want to see that yet then hold off.

http://www.footbag.org/media/344/KFM%20 ... YM%201.wmv

Derrick is getting so good!

Kevin Regamey watched it and thought it was me the whole time!

I am tired of typing.

I love you modified, good to see you again.

I just made it to my Monday 8:30 AM class on time (I hate it when I do that) and then followed the better judgement that the rest of my class had already exercised and fucked off.

That class is so dumb.

I took a nap after going to that class and having breakfast.

I slept through my 11:30 but made it to my 12:30, fifteen minutes late.

I stayed for the whole thing. I killed time playing 3D tic-tac-toe with a friend in the back. Often I am quite the little keener in class and I sit at the very front with my dorky tie on, somedays, like the first day back from break, I sit at the back with ADD.

I am going to go make the Baked Potatoe Head bong. I will post pictures once it is awesome.

OOH! Speaking of posting pictures, I took several sharp shots of my footbags that I am going to post too.

I got a couple things in the mail today.

One was money from Stephen Barnes for a GLASS shirt and the other was ELEVEN FOOTBAGS FROM TEXAS!!!

Have a look:

Image

I havn't had a chance to really play with them much yet.

My first impression is that they are all much lighter than any of my bags, I suppose that is just Curtis' preference. Apparently his preference is also to take REALLY good care of his bags! They are all in such fantastic condition, I am blown away by this deal (steal?).

I fell in love with the Mirkens today. Derrick keeps having orgasms when he touches the rainbow Mirken, and I can't stop fondling the yellow/blue/red Mirken, mmmmmmmmmmm. I want my bags to come out like these but slightly smaller and a liiiiittle heavier.

Today I have been playing around alot with my absurd footbag collection.
I want my collection to grow to the point where I can swim in it like Uncle Scrooge. Sigh, one day.

I miss having Vida around, her getting excited about me charges me up so huge! At least I know she is still digging me from afar.

Oh get this, I was talking to my friend Kemp in class and he asked me "Hey, was Vida working on Friday? Because I was in there checking some stuff out and I overheard her talking about you!" I wasn't sure what to expect, "Don't worry man, she was saying really good stuff! She was saying how you're funny and blah blah, it was all good stuff."

:) I'm so lucky.

Oh yeah, get this, I traded some stuff with Derrick. I gave him my mini fridge that I no longer used and he gave me a playstation 2!

I have been playing vice city 20 out of the last 24 hours or so.

I am so hooked up, I dragged the big ass TV from the main room into my room. My housemate called me 'unfair' today, .

I have my PS2 to my left and my modified to my right with a web of wires (aka tripcords) connecting it all.

It's bed time.

Night Modified

PS come home soon Vida, you're missed. :(

Those foobags together are probably worth, like, $600 Canadian dollars (not even a joke!!) I really like looking at that picture and seeing the names beside the bags. Good work!
