COMBINATION OF TRICK TIPS AND MOVES LIST
Hi all,
I've had this idea in my head for a while now.
There's our super long move list, and there's our rather disorganized trick tips section. The trick tips section is good like it is, so we can see what people are most currently asking about, but I think it would be even more valuable if our moves list (which is organized and alphabetical) had links next to the move names to the trick tips.
also, I've got a footbag.org account, and I would be willing to start making tiny videos of individual moves to be posted in the Moves List next to the trick names.
I think the combination of the trick tips section, the moves list section, and small videos that we can make at home and host on our .org accts will serve to make a much better, more organized resource of what we've got available.
So, I guess I need to know if there's interest in this, and if I have participation from the Moves List person to start making some changes in his list... I forget who that is, Mike Hansen maybe? we'll see.
This could be a fun and relatively easy project to take on, let's start making some videos and improving the resources we make available to the community.

In my opinion it is not bad to have the movelist but it is not possible to search the trick from the other side . I would recommend to build a trick list where you could search the trick after its technical components. In my opinion that is the most common way to look for tricks. I.e. you hit dlo - now you can add a pixie set before --- you look through the list and find pixie dlo ( ups I do not know the name but I am too lazy to go through the whole list to find it - you got me?)
This is a shit load of work so if many people participate it is not that much work.
I guess anybody should take one set and write all basic tricks behind.
After such a great project it would be useful to email Steve for implementing this to f.org or build a "best of " subforum here on modified.
Sorry but I cannot make any move demos because I got no cam .
Great idea and work Matt , your motivation to work for the community is very inspiring and reading your tips is always a pleasure to read.
As for the trick list which start with the sets I would do "barraging" section.
What do you think?

So... actually... You can press ctrfl + f in almost every browser and find the trick by komponents...

okay. Allan wants to do this through footbag.org. I had just pictured little links next to all the move names on the move list on modified. Are we going to start doing this through .org? what's next? I had planned that we would host the files on .org, being that so many of us have IFPA accounts. If anyone wants to give me administrative priveleges on modified, I would just start editing the existing move list to contain links to videos like the ones johnny made.
I would also like to separate the list into uptime components and midtime / downtime components. Video links for moves that have an uptime and a downtime component, or a duck / dive / spin / paradox included should be grouped by downtime components. For example, you'd click drifter, and there would be links to fume, smoke, blurry drifter, vertigo, vortex, void, etc.
I'm open to ideas on this. What do others think?

Matt, are you talking about the Move Nickname List I've made (sticky
in general footbag). No problem in modifiying that, I'd help out.
