Off-topic: I hope to see you Flash in Helsinki... on the podium. You are one of the players inspiring me the most nowadays.flash wrote: I don't know yet if I'm going to Helsinki this summer....
hope to see you there, Yax.... on the podium.
Would be great to kick with you also. Now when my ankle is ok again. Hope you can make it to Helsinki.
To Yax: great you have the motivation! Winning Vasek in competitions isn't impossible, it's very possible. Though you still need to hit your routine very well. Btw. seeing you playing in Philly was also inspiring, those toe set ingyro mirages were super controlled and smooth.

Back
I'm back!
Hello again everyone! I am back. I took some time off to nurse a few injuries... and play xbox!
Dropless!
I was in Paris last week-end and I participated in the local tournament. I hit a dropless routine in the first round. That was good. I sucked in finals though.
Decision-making
I was lucky to go dropless and was disapointed with my decision-making. I bailed on a few moves to make sure I didn't drop. The problem is I didn't bail because I was off-balance or the set wasn't right. I was bailing just because I was afraid to drop. That usually leads to MORE drops. That's what happened in the following round. Dropless is still good though.
Paris
Paris is beautiful. I visited all the tourist attractions and kicked a few times I partied pretty hard with Fred, Charles, Arthur, and Serge. My girlfriend was sick twice during a 4 day trip!
Knees
All the walking left me with a bum knee so I won't kick for a few days. I can hardly climb stairs. I can't wait to skool again. Meanwhile I guess I'll focus on school... or xbox.

Mind game
Mind game...
I tried to kick today. I warmed up on a stationnary bike for about 20 minutes and then stretched a lot... but my knee still hurts. Since footbag is 50% practice and 50% thinking I worked on my routine at home. Trying to figure out ways to improve style and difficulty while reducing drop risks.
Random trick tip of the day...
I can't shred so I might as well talk about footbag. This is a new topic in my blog. I'll give random advice on a random trick or set whenever I don't feel like doing my homework - like now. There should be a lot of this coming your way!
I you try a spinning trick but your set is never right, you should set the bag first and make sure it's straight up and THEN turn. If you feel that your set is right but you don't finish your rotation quickly enough, try to whip your head around very fast, it will help you rotate faster.
Tomorrow's topic: How to hit fusion in 30 easy steps.

Knee
So...
Fusion
I wrote the whole "How to hit fusion" thing. I took about 30 minutes and then my computer crashed. I don't feel like doing it again.
Knee
It's the first time that one of my joints hurts for more than a few days. I tried to shred twice since Paris and I've been denied twice. I still cannot run for more than about 20 seconds before it starts hurting and I have a hard time with stairs. Hopefully it will get better fast.
Drinking
I drank too much last night. I kind of lose control after I drink 2 or beers. I get all excited and I want to party. All of a sudden, I drank 6 beers in less than 2 hours. School this morning is harsh.

Bum knee
Yo!
I haven't written in ages! I'm still working out and shreddin'. I'm struggling though. My left knee's been bothering me since Paris. I'll go see a specialist soon because I can't keep going on like this until July.
I had a fun session with Sebastien last week. It was the second we kicked together in 2005! He hit diving bubba eggbeaters on both sides. I thought it was radical!
I'm out for today.

Have you gotten back into footbag? For the uninformed, he was one of my gurus when I was just a weeee newbie.
And Yax, we have to kick some time so I can skool your ass on some stuff, and you can skool my ass on the rest of the stuff I can't skool your ass on.
For the uninformed, Yax's curly hair is... sexy!?
