Yeah, Ken speaks French!!!
RNH Contest was so cool! But before RNH, Serge and I had a great sess with Mr Merzouk, @ Fred's Parking... it was just so cool to shred with him.. I was in an very bad day, and did only shit, but I just had pleasure to see him shred! So stylish and so fat combos! Well, I won't do too much comments about Yacine's game... everybody knows...
Then, we had a few beers with him and his gf and Fred, at Le Breguet, a bar, Fred's second house, just infront of his appartment... Really nice, had good laught!!
Friday, no comment. Oh yeah, friday night, beers at the club house, playing foursquare with mostly Net players, Arthur and Serg representing freestyle! Came back home with the last metro to be in good form on Saturday...
Saturday, Net started around 3.. it was the first time Serge and I played double net together.. We've been really bad, we've lost all our games wining only 1 set.. Shame on us... But we have an excuse... we're Freestylers!!!
So Freestyle started a bit after Net, around 6 or something.. My legs were almost dead.. Play Net is absolutly different than freestyle, so I had strange pains in the "right ass muscle".. I think I won't play net anymore before a freestyle comp... this is not serious..
I did a pretty good routine for me.. actually, it was the best I've ever done.. 6 drops.. so I've finished 2nd of my pool, just after Yacine who hit a dropless super routine!
Serge did a great routine... not as good as it will be soon, but very consistent, stylish, with fat tricks and fat combos.. he did 5 drops I think.. When he'll do 2 or 3 drops, his routine will be huge! I think he was 2nd of his pool after Franck Rémy..
Arthur did a really bad routine (that's what he says).. with 10 drops, but he has an excuse: he played single+double net all day before... He definitly can hit a dropless I think.. pretty soon... I don't know what happened to him that day.. well too much net...
The finals were good... Yacine obviously won in spite of the 3 or 4 drops he did... Then Franckystyle (over classic Franckystyle routine, not that stylish, with many drops...) and then Zeeeerg! First freestyle medal for him!! good final routine, around 5 drops again I think... 4th:Grischa with his best routine ever! 4 drops, well syncronised, well executed... 5th: Fred Touzelet with a really nice routine too, in spite of he played net all day too!! 6th: Charles Dupuy (No comment, 7 drops).. 7th: Dr Jay and 8th: Arthur..
One big absent: Maxxx, but as you might know, he's pretty much out of footbag and even more for footbag comps!!
Then, club house again, beeeeers and pot all night for the courageous..
Actually, most of the players left around 12 to get the last metro, but around 10 players including Mr Merzouk and his gf, stayed there, and we really had a lot of fun!!
Big blame for Zerg who left at 12 with Arthur (Arthur has an excuse... Serg doesn't)
We did there a good 9 holes golf won by Fred I think.. Pierro was probably not far.. and we did a crazy 4 square around 3 or 4 in the morning, that I won!! That really was a cool night! Btw, thx Yacine for staying there!! J'espere que t'as pris du plaisir!!! Nous beaucoup!
Jay! That was really cool you've succeded to come! I really enjoyed to see you and kick with you! I hope you had a good time in Paris, and your gf too... Arthur probably told you this already, but you're over welcome whenever you want in Paris... As you told me, just a regular week end, or even better, French Open... I hope you're sugery did well. Now that you can't shred anymore, I hope you'll practise your stitching!! I'm curious to see your bags!!! Don't forget about Torques!!

It's been a long time..
It's the end of winter, the last few days have been freezing in Paris, I've heard it has never been so cold in France since 1970 or something..
The RNH Contest last week end was lots of fun. I got to play with Yacine and Doctorjay, the only two visitors, and with all the Paris crew that plays more or less regularly.. I finished 3rd in 2min routines, behind Yacine (he only participated in routines) and Franck, and won the shred, sick 3, and big 1. Here are the "full" results:

Yacine hit a dropless for the qualification round, and it was very well executed. His final had a few drops (4 or 5), probably due to a long day of sightseeing (yeah that's what they all say!
). He hit some really nice things during the weekend, a few I remember:

footed (or almost footed) tapping DSO, may be he hit it by now..
It was nice to meet you Yax, you're welcome whenever you want. The same goes for you Jochen, I hope you enjoyed yourself and that you and torque are friends by now..

I had such a crazy week end!! I was with Pierro Bardeau (sick03).
It was sooo cool to meet all those new footbaggers.
Big up to Munich crew who are really nice guys.. Ptite casdédi à Daryl qui déchire tout!!! Great, well I would say HUGE guy!! I really couldn't imagine you were so cool like this Daryl!! You surpised us with Pierrot!! Can't wait to see you man!! In Paris or Footjam ( I don't know yet)..; You're over welcome here man!!!
Big Berlin representation too... Those guys are still so nice.. i had a lot of pleasure to see the again.. We had good fun...
Big surprise, Fine... No comment.. My head got totally crazy for her... I spent such a good weekend with her.. I think I could have spent a better one, but it already was crazy... next time
What else.. yeah, piwo is so good there... I drunk too much (especially on Thursday).. Good smoke too!!
Sunday night, everyboday had left.. so we went to a bar with Dex Vasek and his girldfriend... we had lots a piwos and a lot of fun... it was a crazy night, and came back sooooo drunk AGAIN at the hostel... Btw, I don't know how we managed it...
One deception, I've almost not talked to Hania.. Some 'll have to explain me this...

We have a new king/god here in France.. He is Arthur LeDain!!
He is now French Champion of:
-Single Net
-Double Net (2nd time)
-Single freestyle
-Shred 30
-Double Freestyle with Grischa (the French connection was not here--->max!!)
This is just unbelieveble!! We started to play together with Arthur, around 1.5 years ago, and now, he is just French Champion of everything... or almost...
Indeed, Serge Kaldany won Sick3 (Phoenix>Ripwalk>PS Whirl) and Big1 (Furry)... We'll post the all results when we have them...
So, we had such a cool week end in Lyon! The swiss crew came to juge us.. Karim and Silwan Daouk, Reni, Vlad and Samy! We had very cool parties I think.. maybe too much piwo and not enought sleep before the finals, but we had reaaaly cool time! (Serge and I have slept a lot more than Arthur, cause he had to wake up earlier to play net!! haha.. actually, he went to sleep a bit earlier too, but not that much... Arthur is a machine)
What about the routines and Shred..
Arthur did a really nice routine, with a great song. 5 drops, and pretty fat technically.
Franck did 7 or 8 drops I think and Serge 4... I was really surprised to head that Serge was 3rd.. Seriously, (forgetting everything about Franck), I thought Arthur or Serge was first.. I still can't understand Serge's 3rd place.. It was very clean, 4 drops, smooth, maybe a bit easy..
Btw, I think Serge will post something here latter..

Shred was crazy... Arthur won, in front of ALL Swiss players!! He did 155 points! I can't rememeber who was 2nd (Karim or Samy), but Serg was 3rd with 149 or something! So fat scores! I hit 113 which is my record, but I did shit at the end.. I did again some of the fat tricks I had already done... Btw, it was not too bad.. Franck is the 3rd French in shred...
It was so cool to spend the weekend with the Swiss guys and have good shreds with them.. They are soooo nice people and hardcore Shredders!! Reni has such a smooooth style , Karim is Hardcore etc etc... We'll have an other report with some tricks they hit on sick3 ans big one.
I just can remember the Nemesis of Reni for big one (he hit other crazy tricks for big one), and Karim hit Alpine Blurry Drifter, and Alpine Foot precessor!

Wow, it's been a looong time, two months since my last post and a month since the last post in this blog, it's time for an update!
I'm in Kuwait right now for the vacation, I've been here for a week and I'm going back to Paris on the 8th. I'm visiting my dad who's been working here for 6 months, and I'm enjoying myself a lot, more than I would've thought. My days are filled with footbag, sun, beach, university work, shishas, and a tiny bit of stitching (actually I've only stitched 2 more pentagons of my 3rd 32 pannel that I haven't touched for around half a year, so it's a start!). I also have two friends that were in 1st grade with me that I haven't seen for 3 or 4 years that are here at the same time as me kind of by coincidence. Another good thing about being here is that I don't smoke (not cigs) at all, and I think my neurons appreciate that..
Now footbagwise, I've hit many new things since my last update, but I forgot most of them. Here's what I can remember:

Some sailing and frantic tricks (with legovers butterflies and mirages)
And my second fearless combo : phoenix>blurrywhirl>PS whirl
I also came very close to nuclear torque today which would've been my first 7 adds, may be next time.
I'm preparing my routines for footjam, I'm so excited to go there, it will be the first tournament I'll be attending outside of France. My goal is to reach the finals, which will be nearly impossible, but what the heck?? I'm also eager to hang out with all you footbaggers who're going to be there!

time to sleep, the heat is exhausting!!
I'm in Kuwait right now for the vacation, I've been here for a week and I'm going back to Paris on the 8th. I'm visiting my dad who's been working here for 6 months, and I'm enjoying myself a lot, more than I would've thought. My days are filled with footbag, sun, beach, university work, shishas, and a tiny bit of stitching (actually I've only stitched 2 more pentagons of my 3rd 32 pannel that I haven't touched for around half a year, so it's a start!). I also have two friends that were in 1st grade with me that I haven't seen for 3 or 4 years that are here at the same time as me kind of by coincidence. Another good thing about being here is that I don't smoke (not cigs) at all, and I think my neurons appreciate that..
Now footbagwise, I've hit many new things since my last update, but I forgot most of them. Here's what I can remember:

Hey I will be In Paris from July 2nd to 12th before Euro's and I was wondering if there is a way I could meet the french crew and have a shred with them. Im currently in Gabon until then, I got a couple of french friends here and I'll probably be hosted somewhere, otherwise I'm looking for cheap hostels or dormitory's.
If any of you can give me tips for where to find a cheap dormitory or want to have a shred let me know maybe we can arange something then!

i had a blast with all of you at footjam and just chilling in paris. i am rather pissed off at zerg for getting me hooked on the speed stacks (you bastard!) because i can't seem to find any in winnipeg, and i am doing "air" speed stacks now and thinking about perfecting my technique.
huge thanks to tutur for putting up with me even thought he had exams, and sorry for missing my flight on wednesday and having to intrude upon your space again!!! big thanks to carlos for getting my train tickets for me. that saved me alot of time. again big thanks to carlos for inspiring me to stitch again. since coming home i have stitched up 2 bags. even thought the material is crap i am working my technique and trying to get faster, since 6 hours is far far too long for 1 bag!!!!!!
i left my watch at arthurs place. i was looking for it all morning before i left and couldn't find it. i know it was on the table when we were speed stacking, and i checked all my bags when i got home but couldn't find it, so i must have left it behind. the watch means alot to me. it was given to me 6 years ago by my grand mother who has since died, so if you guys could check to see if you accidentally picked it up, and ask arthur to CLEAN his appartment and maybe have a look for it? that would be great. i also left a roll of film at arthurs place. it's not as important, but it has some cool footjam photos on it.
any way, i had a blast with all you guys. expect me back next year for footjam06!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad to hear you've started to stitch again! I didn't know at all that I have inspired you for stitching... You should have told me, I would have
given you ALL advices possible... and we could have done a trade...

Well, there is no cheap dormitory here in Paris.. The better you can find is a youth Hostel, but it is at least 15€ for 1 night...
But you're a footbagger, so you'll definitly find a place to sleep for free at someone's place... At my place, it's pretty difficult cause I still live with my parents, but you'll have some place to crash at Arthur's place, or Fred, Pierro, Grischa, Franckystyl etc...
And you'll find partners to shred every single day for sure... On est comme ça à Paname!!
Btw, How are you going to Wroclaw? We're going too, but we don't already know how...
