According to this website (which is not about footbag, but about sneakers), the footbag community was instrumental in getting the rod laver shoe out of 'retirement'.

Is this true? did footbag demand bring this shoe back?

I remember vaguely reading an article circa 98 or so, that when mr laver was off on tour promoting his shoe, he got mobbed several times by footbaggers, so the story is probably true. Besides lavers seem to be a fashion item now. Ill post a pic I have of a girl wearing lavers in a fashion show...

Its untrue. Adidas doesn't give a fuck about footbag. The guy wrote on that site is speaking out of his ass.
