Which set are you refering to Erik?
I noticed that my Barrages were a lot better as soon as I started doing more and more double in-out dexes (DATW & Terrage basically).
Clip set Barrages are usually down really low (watch Lon do them on the preview vid for Fourkast, he doesn't have much of a set when he does them) so I would assume it's just a matter of working on technique.

Sometimes I jump higher in the air than I need to. If the set is around or bellow knee hight there is no reason to take you're foot more than a few inches from the ground.
A real important time in the barrage is when you're leg is in front of the bag for the 2nd dex its . Make sure you're leg is more verticle than horizontal at this time. A straight out leg for the last mirage is an easy the call.

you clean up barrages by practicing them a lot. What I do is set from clipper (i assume you mean clip set barrage) and lift my dex leg as the bag is rising. When it nears its peak, I start the first dex. This allows for a cleaner barrage without the strain of having to do the dexes all downtime. Once the motion and cleanliness is there, you can start to learn them all downtime, and it wont take more than a few days or so to adjust.
If this diagram is a path the bag takes, start the dex where the arrow points.

Lol dale, u can atom bomb but cant barrage :O
If you want to do a clean barrage, i think the eaisiest way is to do it with a slight blazing set. Blazing set about knee height and dont plant just contuinue on to do the pickup dex but catch it on the other toe obviously
Works for me.
Then again if you ever want to hit toe barrage etc and need it downtime, listen to nothing I have said

I would like to learn Barrage. First from clipper. But I have some problem with this fu.... move... I just can't go for the 2nd dex out of first. I need it for drills like Barrage > DOD and Plastic Man... They're so styly and I just want to drill it... And of course i need some equilibrium in my game... I'm bustin Barflies, and other Out-To-In Double dexes and I wan't to give some help to my in-out dexes... So... some tips on "How to learn Barrage" would be appreciate...
Thanks a lot...

thats exactly where i set my barrages senior Grommet. i just started really getting them within the last week. and i have been hitting clean ones pretty often. my flispide is even getting better. what really helped me the most is doing double pick ups over and over. it really gives you a sense of where to put the bag and how to move your leg correctly.
Yea most clean set barrages are failry low. the only time you necesarily need them high is if your hitting something out of them, say Flurry or Jani walker.
I've been working on symposium Barrages. i can get the dex, but for some reason when ever i do the trick, the bag goes way to far under me and i cant even see it to catch it. my dexes are surprisingly clean and a good height, but i just cant get it out infront of me. anyone have any tips?

I was schooling my barrages yesterday, and after watching them on vid I'm terrified! They are very, very THE.
Here is a link to some of my barrages:

If it isn't problem and too big effort for you to download and watch it, please do it, and some tips would be really appreciated.
I don't know what to do... I just would like to do clean barrages
So... Some advices?
Thanks and greets,
Pawel

Barraging help...
I've hit barrage only a handful of times. Most of the time I hit it it's downtime. Every time I try to do it uptime my set is either way too low or my first dex kicks the bag way back.
Any suggestions?
Any suggestions?
The two critical points to the barrage are , imo:
1) Think of the trick as muted whirling ss mirage. This is what keeps the motion fluent and feeling more natural. From clipper, set between knee and waist height. Immediately plant the setting foot and switch the feet. When I do barrages there isn't ANY point in time where both of my feet are touching the ground. You should push off the ground with the dexing leg using the ball of your foot. Focus on trying to switch the feet simultaneously.
2) Use those hips!! As soon as the 'whirl' dex is cleared, the hips are what gets the bag from the side of your body to in front of you for the toe delay. Your ass should be pointing towards the bag up until you clear the first dex. Then untorque those hips to get that bag in front of you. This is another one of those tricks where your hips pretty much do all the dexing for you.
Hope this helps.

For Barraging set, keep your setting clipper foot close to your support leg and at right angles to your support foot (like, dont have the clipper sitting too far back or too far out to the side)
Do the set like a symposium start, it gives you more speed and gets your legs out of the way. Its hard for me to say much more because you just need to practice barrage alot and get good at it (maybe hit Flurries a bit too), then work on setting it fast and with a good snap and symposium style.

don't really have much to add, but thought I'd say this. there are 2 ways to hit barrage, one of which is midtime, where the first dex is happening when the bag is reaching its peak and starting its descent, and the second way: all downtime. It is harder to clean an all downtime barrage, so remmber that your dex leg has to go down with the bag while you dex in order for the bag not to drop lower than your dexing foot/leg.
Other than that, I try to visualize the path my leg will be taking, sweeping behind the bag first and then going out on front of the bag (not over the top). Once the leg goes out in front of the bag it should returned to the ground as quickly as possible.
