Quiet drills?
Quiet drills?
I'm often late home from work so dont have time to have a full session but still want to practice some skills. I cant really jump around alot because that would wake up everyone in the house.
So i've been trying to develop some quiet drills but have only got the following
-pixie set
-fairy set
-atw (in out)
-wrap
Any other suggestions?
Thanks, Thom

It's tough because you can't change feet. I used to have the same issue, and actually still do in my bedroom, so I do stuff like xbd-rake practice, or mute pixie clipper > far pickup > rpt, and just mke sure to do it both sides. You can't really do both sided drills because of the foot changing thing.
Well, you can, but then you have to land lightly, and I don't care to pay attention to that.

I'm a big fan of slow moves and moves that test and improve one's balancing prowess on one foot.
Try doing wraps (inside stall and very slowly carry the bag to a cross-body inside stall) back and forth (go from clipper back to the inside stall).
Its good for your balance and your control of your clipper stall.
Also, walk-overs, nice and slow (good to improve ankle flexibility).
Try clipper to flapper to clipper over and over. This is quiet and makes for good balance training and good control of your clipper.
Also try clipper to dragon to clipper.
You can start to combine these (inside stall > wrap > flapper > dragon > flapper > clipper > unwrap) and they can all be done pretty quietly.

Roll the footbag down the calf from the knee to the clipper. (Nice avatar)Tootsie rolls? what are those, aside from a delicious treat...
(Ya know, I just remembered that I always wanted to name a move Avatar, like eight or nine years ago, 'cause it was a cool word and it kinda seemed to go with Paradon, though not exactly...)
Sam H. did me a favor by getting a couple good ones on tape and putting them in his French Open vid. Thanks Sam.

I've been working on cloud delays and swirls, both of which sound like they would fit the bill.

Try spinning clipper without putting your clipper foot down. It helps with set accuracy and balance.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

As a side note:
Most of these moves and combos can help if you want to play while having a shin splint. They don't require the jumping up and down that can cause extreme pain.
I found this thread a while back while I had some wicked bad shin splints and did this kinda thing because I couldn't stand to not play at all.
