Well, seeing as how it's posted on his Dot Org profile....

...I quit drinking Alcohol in the summer of 2004. I quit smoking as a new years resolution to start on the right foot in 2005. Seriously, Lon Smith

Basically, I was talking to him online about mailing my Pigs back to me (left them in his hotel room), and I mentioned, "And that's cool that you quit drinking and smoking; I didn't know about that. Commendable."
And he said, "Thanks for the praise on lessoning the drug intake. I
haven't gotten nearly enought support."
So I posted this topic so that more people would know of his intentions and could give him thoughts and encouragement. He even thanked me later, so I don't think he has/had a problem with it....

If Lon is cool with this thread, then that`s lucky and great. But I still stand by my main point: people need to be careful what they post on the internet about other footbag players.

As some of you may know, Lon Smith quit drinking alcohol last summer, and now he's trying to stop smoking pot as a New Year's Resolution.

I looked at Lon`s profile, and he says he`s given up alcohol and smoking. He doesn`t specifically mention pot. To somebody who doesn`t know him (employer, date, newbie footbaggers) this isn`t nearly as incriminating as specifically identifying pot.

And I still think its weird to mail him on that subject if you don`t know him.

I also want to clarify that I`m not singling out Stephen here; he obviously created this thread in a spirit of goodwill, and Lon is cool with it. But I do think it raises an important point which people need to think about more. Never forget that all footbaggers are people, even if they are celebrities in the community. That means don`t film Ahren eating a sandwich if you`ve never even introduced yourself, cause that`s creepy. And don`t assume that its cool to talk about your footbag idols` drug-related/sexual/mental problems or habits online.

i am proud that i was able to singlepostedly get a thread erased, but not because it was a c-fan spoof thred, just because the mods are so nazi, and i hit one of their nazi nerves dead on.

in another thread moxie posted that she didnt like my videos, she was joking and i knew it, but it made me realize how many joking posts that i have made probably made other people feel bad, im glad i felt it and i hope i learned a lesson

footbaggers are celebreties! yay. in my oppinion to get a bunch of people offering me their support would make me feel good, even if from people i didnt know.

and its funny cuz i googled the name of my girlfriend before we started going out.

Sorry, I edited it out, if it really bothers you. It's not like I've never met or spoken to him, because that would be kind of weird. And I didn't email him with the sole intention of saying congratulations on cleaning up your act, I emailed him with the intention of getting my Pigs back. That would be even weirder.

I do senee what you're saying, though, and I edited part of my initial post. I can just have this thread deleted if you think it's that big of a deal.
