awesome little 20 minute session in my living room. I played with climas, and repeated barrage > same butterfly a few times. Then I did both ducking toe stalls and some ducking / diving clippers. Then, I did some symp whirls both sides, and did symp whirl > infin > symp whirl. Then I did midtime nova attempts on both sides (i believe I hit one sloppy one on each side). Then I did barraging sets, and got them both sides! I'd only done one on my flipside before, and my good side ones had disappeared since last year. It was really satisfying and **definitely a product of warming up with symp whirls and symp quantum both sides** (that's my trick tip for the day, the main reason for this post, actually). Then, my roommate came out and asked me to stop because he couldn't concentrate, but he meant sleep. Ech... go back to work. If you're up all night and have to sleep during the day, it's not my job to live around it, especially after I've been at work all day. well, some of the day. my day is just getting started, really... after work, it felt like I hadn't even been there all day... I guess because I spent most of the day doing little tasks and surfing modified... which is what I would have done if I'd spent the day at home. but anyway... that's my little super happy, psyched post that turned into an all-out complaint. happy 300th post, rochester footblog. happy page 16.

ok, so it turns out, after making a 32 panel and 3 12-panels, that i dont have facile, its something else and it sucks ass. so it would be completely pointless for me to bring everyone un-shreddable bags, so ill wait till i order some facile and bring them to you guys quite possibly at the rochester glass

I say we leave saturday morning... I still have to find us crash space. I'll call benham tomorrow. I'd like to stop and play with dave on saturday if you guys are into it. so, let's plan on leaving at 12 on saturday. that should get us to dave's in time for some good shred with plenty of time for driving to philly.

had a good session with mike anello tonight, we both worked on lots of drills. I started in climacools and a felix bag until I got frustrated with them and moved to lavers and a Chuck D bag. I did lots of barrage > ss butter repeat and a few DOD > mirage repeat. Lot and lots of ducks and lots and LOTS of ducking drops... a few symp flurry attempts, no luck, might have hit one non-symp. I wasn't feeling super high-energy tonight. I'm playing with a young player from Brighton tomorrow. That should be fun... ooo, I almost forgot, I made progress on symposium whirls both sides tonight. Can't wait to have those dialed.

Little session with Alex and Mackenzie last night, my string length has died.. We didnt play too long and we had to keep moving around, but i did manage to hit frenzy on the my other side. I dont really have a strong or weak frantic set they are about the same on both sides. Was trying my shred 30 and a couple sick 3 ideas, my shred 30 isnt going to good, but i did manage to hit one cool little combo, blur > toe blur > E-walk. Most of the time was spent playing 3-sqaure since they wanted to learn how to play, that was a lot of fun, a bit one sided, but fun none the less. And i finally figured out reverse swirls on my strong side, managed to hit a couple of them, twirl is going to take some work, but with some practice and some help from Matt or Steve, i should be able to hit it soon.

Looking forward to philly!!!! Not looking forward to waking up around 730 so that i can be awake to drive back to Rochester so that we can drive to philly :? .

Pat, Alex is my girlfriend and Mackenzie is her friend at college, they started kicking at GLASS.

Philly Recap
Got lost in Bethleham!!! After a good 20 minutes of circling and talking we finally made it to Dave's house. I was fighting a headache the whole way down, and when i started playing it obviously got worse. Didnt really hit too much had maybe 1 or 2 semi-nice strings.. Dave was hitting a bunch of nice combos and strings, although he was dissappointed in his self me and Matt were impressed. Then it was some good food cooked my Dave's parents.. very good stuff :D. Then off to Zachatree's house. More shred followed, played better there, my headache stopped after a while and my legs felt ok. Hit some normal strings, and flipside clip set DLO, either the first or second time i hit that, and at least 1 clean illusion on both sides.

Off to philly! Somehow missed a turn somewheres and ended up driving an extra 20 miles out of the way  . Matt luckily had a map of philly and i found us a quick way back to where we needed to be. Got near the pavillion.. drove around in a circle 2.5 times looking for the damn parking lot, found it and seen Pete, Gordon, and Greg getting out a car. Get inside and see at least 25-30 shredders wooo! Found a place to set down my stuff and got into my shred gear only to see Dave with his leg propped up with ice on his ankle... He twisted it while warming up, what a bitch.. Started warming up with Josh and Alex and again my head started to hurt. This time i took some alieve and tried to take it easy. Things started really slow and eventually i started to play better. After hitting a lot of my normal strings and hitting some new ones then seeing TJ signing up to compete intermediate i decided i should too. I worked out a shred 30 in my head 10 minutes b4 the competition started. Got up there nice and nervous and dropped on the 2nd move on one of my main drills. I still did pretty decent i completely forgot what i wanted to do though and ended up just doing random tricks and ended with landing darkwalk and droppin a smog attempt. It was really close between my and Tj, he had 65 adds with 14 uniques and i had 62 adds with 16 uniques! I ended up winning by a very small amount!!

Then it was routines which i didnt do because i wasnt prepared at all, but then it was sick trick. First attempt i landed pixie zulu butterfly which was cool and a good confidence builder. But then i missed 3 strong side frantic attempts stupid sandman was sticking to my foot. But then i switched it to the flipside and landed frantic ss butterfly. Tried reverse mullet for my finally attempt but i set it way to high.

After the competition i got to shred with brian mckenzie (only 2nd time) and kenny shultz for the first time. Brian is really good!, and kenny is insane. Brian missed fusion only once, can tap into anything, and has a really cool furious set. Kenny can spin like no one else, and has some awesome combos. Later we were joined by the Cleaver, who was really insane for having a swollen ankle! Lots of 5s all over the place. Good times in philly once again.

Highlights of shred:
parkwalk > sidewalk > ripwalk > blur (rpt) new tripless combo
matador > ps whirl first 5>5
slapdown > blur > E-walk
frantic ss butterfly > pdx mirage > E-walk 2nd or 3rd time hitting this one

Session outside tomorrow if weather is nice like it was today??

Well I'm glad my essence of getting lost to or from the competition was still present. Sorry couldn't make it. But HEY! Now I'm pretty sure what colleges I'll be going to. It had to be done.

still in my footbag slump so I doubt I'll be able to play tomorrow - papers and a test again this week. . ugh. Then I've got to go home again :? this weekend so I can talk one of my friends down from a massive depression. Fun fun. But hopefully a footfighter will be waiting for me when I pull into the driveway. A short mall footfighter session perhaps? Meh?

2 o clock tomorrow at the SAU.

Tonight's session was overall disappointing but had some pretty cool combos. First new shoes are terrible to play in, second its going to take me some time to get used to having toe walls. I dont know why I'm having such a problem now, but it seemed like the bag was rolling off a lot more tonight.

Highlights.
matador > ps whirl first try of the night
matador > ps reverse whirl.. almost hit matador > mullet
guiltless run > reverse mullet > osis > couple contacts (on video)
smear > toe blur (rpt).. this combo is getting very easy

and when i got back to my apartment, I tried the move that me and matt were talking about at the end of the session. Finally hit it after 30 tries or so, also had a couple close attempts at ducking it before spinning.

Hopefully tomorrow my strings will be a little better than they were tonight.

Quick little session in my room just now. Didn't really work on strings at all just messed around for a little while. Tried flip nuke set, with some work i should be able to hit it soon. Managed to hit a clean illusion and pdx illusion on both sides, finally starting to figure them out. That shortly followed a few attempts at diving symp. reverse whirl hit that after a couple attempts. Matt then suggested I work on symp whirls, hit a few on strong side, and then managed to foot a couple on my flip side, and then finally hit one. PS whirl on flipside is going to take a lot of work :? .

My legs really hurt so i only played for like 30 minutes but in the last 3 minutes i hit my first shooting sets, which was followed by shooting ss mirage. I now have a nuke set on my flipside and a shooting set on my strongside, but neither bothside yet... a bit confusing but nothing some work and time can't fix. Then I had to close on a nice string which was this:

diving inside > ducking inside > (rpt) > ducking clipper > diving clipper > ducking clipper > diving clipper > ducking clipper > diving butterfly > ducking ducking (rpt) drop i really like ducking/diving
