Haha! I never realized your fears were speaking and people. I understand so much now.
Your photography is awesome! I like the ultra close-up of different textures v.cool. As far as playing Morrowind, no I've only seen Jen's dad playing. The last rpg that I played was FFX, it didn't keep my interest that long. I used to really enjoy the genre but now all I play is Tekken and Soul Calibur. You should come out..... really....
I hit toe fog today.

Hehe, yeah...
<---me when I'm with people
I can always count on Josh to post in my blog! Toe fog!! (It's totally called Toga!......right? I thought it was, but maybe I'm thinking of Tofu for food processor..) Props! That is sick! Seriously! Do you have a fast internet connection? Jorden Moir posted a sick video of himself in the videos section. He does wonton legover both sides midrun in a couple runs -- it looks so styley and I think you'd like it!! I have, like, 35 CDs full of shred videos I could lend you next time I see you. Remeber to school your flipside ;p
Oh and thanks for the comments. Are you into photography? my cousin is over for a week right now, from Michigan, and they're totally playing MGS3 downstairs!! (Sadly no MGS3 for Xbox yet.....) I used to be really into Tekken, but I don't have the newer ones after 3. I played tag a few times. I have the Soul Calibre games... I think I liked Soul Blade better? I have Soul Blade for PSX, Soul Calibre for Dreamcast and Soul Calibre 2 for Xbox, I think...the one with Spawn. HAHA.

Sure you can count on me to post in your blog. I didn't see the Moir video, but whoa was I impressed with Tina! Some hardcore shit. Andrew lent(sp) me some of his videos. My computer was awol then, so I could only watch them and not burn them.
I wouldn't say that I'm a big photography buff, Jen certainly is, and so is her father. He has been working on a portfolio(not sure if thats the right word) for about a year now. Some gorgeous shots of the shield in Ontario. He also recently converted a room in the basement into a dark room. He does some really neat things with exposure making the water in the pictures almost three dimesional.
I have a burnt copy of MGS1 for my moded ps1 but I have never played it through. Is your Xbox moded? My friend has a 80gig harddrive attached to his, he just double clicks on games to play them. Pretty cool, I had never seen anything like that before. Spawn is the most abusive unbalanced character. Though it wouldn't matter. Your jaw would hit the floor if you met my Ivy. I have buffering down to a science. Kinda like Phoenix.

Ha sweet! My blog turned into a Hackrifice blog
You guys are hitting some SICK tricks!! I love hearing about it!
Yeah, my xbox is modded. I have an 80-gig harddrive too. It's also networked with all the computers in my house, so I don't really have a harddrive limit, as I can just play movies and stuff off the network. I think Andrew was bragging to you about my xbox that day we were talking about Tekken :p I don't really play anything other than Morrowind, though. I haven't touched my xbox for months. I am bringing it to my brother's house on Wednesday, though, to copy all his games
I made a whole bunch of DVDs today and took a picture, because it was neat to see a STACK of my own DVDs
It is late, though, and I don't have the picture available. I just thought I would say something relevant while I was posting. I drew a lot today, too, and skipped class.
Oh yeah, and I'm always the cute asian girls, with pigtails, whose names start with X, in every fighting game! I can't remember if there is one in Soul Calibre, but I was Xiayou in Tekken, and Xiangfei in another game??... Do you like Dead or Alive? I have that one, too. All I remember is how cool the environments were. I liked the beach volleyball game too!

Ah! I'm just drooling at the sounds of your futuristic house. You have your Xbox on the networK? Gah. A buddy bought me a copy of World of Warcraft today. He really wants me to play with him. It costs every month. I might play it for a bit, but he seriously can't expect me to take something like that comming into the summer. I dunno, Its late your right. I can't get fucking wonton torque out of my head. I'm going to go stretch and go to bed.

ERIK I LOVE YOU!!!!
I got my DVD in the mail!!
I checked my mail as I was heading to class (I never know what to expect!) and there was a package from you!
I tore open the package on the busride to campus. When I opened it and saw the drawing you made me I sat there with my mout wiiiide open like you see cartoon characters do, except it was real. I was so amazed and blown away and overcome with happiness! Thanks for the super great drawing of me!
I know that is surely the nicest drawing anyone has ever made of me. Thank you so much Erik, it really means alot to me. And thanks for the DVD, I can't wait to dive into it!!
I will get to work on making a sweet present for you in return.

Wow! I'm so glad you liked the video, Tom!! You really don't have to sent me anything, though. This was supposed to be a good gesture towards throwing such a kickass tournament! (ie: You better hold GLASS again next year ;p)
Check out this direct quote from a PM I just got from DAT PHAN!!!!!

Nothing, really, to report. I've kind of started working out. I've started doing 30 minutes of stationary cycling at 25km/hour-ish every second day (only third day, so far, today) and situps, pushups, some weights, and stretching (nothing compared to to tedious hours I did when I was in athletic therapy...what a waste of time.) The cycling is mostly to work off the fat I've been developing (I think I'm seriously 1.5x wider around my stomach. Maybe not, but I look like I have a pot belly in the mirror, when I'm sitting. Anyway -- I'm going to try to work up to 45 minutes every second day, maybe a bit in between days, too. (Especially when school is done in TWO WEEKS!!!!!)
I totally forgot about "hacking". Not playing for SO long has me too afraid to even think about playing -- even just kicking -- and so I forgot quite easily. It's drying and warming up here now! (Christmas tree is still up, by the way.......) I will try to remember to kick a bit tomorrow.
Aside from this I have a projects and essays and exams all coming up this week (final week of classes!). A project due on Tuesday that I haven't started, and I think I played...8 hours of Morrowind after I got home from work?? SUCKY...but at the same time I'm further than I've ever got in the game before (never actually beat it.....I'm bad that way for RPGs...) But now I will stop writing.
Oh, and I FINALLY finished all the Harry Potter books (until #6) and I've started reading the Chronicles of Narnia (haven't read for YEARS!...I had no idea the White Queen was half giant!!) Anyway, it's awesome -- if you haven't read them, Ashley Danowski, you should -- you'd love them! Oh yeah, Narnia is also where the title for my video, Voyage of the Dawn Shredder came from, if nobody actually got that (I don't think many people did??..) The third Narnia book is called The Voyage of the Dawn Treader....Yippers.

Nothing I can say could justify how that made me feel!while i was at sam's hanging out with lon, ted, jeremy and emily, lon was browsing through modified in the footblogs and he came across your name and said: "erik chan.. he's good. I should look at his"

I played yesterday.
I had a full physical on Friday. It's the first time I've seen my family doctor in 6-7 years. Marita got her friends to call me a few hours later to say, "This is the Pembina Clinic -- we have some bad news" or something, because it was April Fools Day.
Anyway, so I asked the doctor a bunch of questions about different problems with my body. I asked about my hip. He suggested a brace thingy -- like a bike-shorts sort-of-thing with adjustable thingies that put pressure on my hip; so it's supposed to act like a shock-absorber on my hip. I hope to pick one up soon and start playing lightly soon!! I played yesterday, as I said. I started with mostly kicking -- inside kicks (flip is HARD for me! -- stalls are even harder!), then I moved to some clippers. I tried to do 100 sameside clippers on each side. I got it on my goodside, but flip I only got 48 -- it felt really awkward.
I also developed a drill for my flip inside stall/clipper. It goes like this: inside stall > same foot clipper > op foot inside stall > same foot clipper [repeat]. That's really challenging for me.
I also did some osii. That was awkward. I didn't get many. Then I had trouble restraining myself and did some infinities and ducking clippers and spinning clippers. I think once I have the brace I will play super-guiltless, but minus any moves involving any sort of dex (maybe butterflies).
That's about all.
I'm making cookies.

I played for an hour today!!
I LOVE FOOTBAG!!! I was SOOO happy last night. Like you know when you are so happy that your eyes water. I watched some old footbag videos of myself, from when I was more in shape -- it made me so happy and want to get in shape and play footbag again so bad and play and play and play until I sweat and work off all the fat. I forget why I was THAT happy, but I remember I was. (And then later at around 6am I couldn't sleep. I've been reading the Narnia books, like I said. I decided to look up Narnia on the internet just to check out some illustrations from the books and whatnot and I came across narnia.com WHEEERRRREEEEE I discovered that WETA WORKSHOP (Lord of the Rings!!!!!), DISNEY, and the director of Shrek are working on the movies and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is supposed to be released this Christmas!!!!!! There are some behind the scenes videos and they look SICK!!! I'm not sure if I like the concept art for Aslan (too big...I watched the old TV movies CONSTANTLY when I was little and he was just a regular sized lion in those...) Anyway....there were some short action clips of a Minotaur -- SWEET. They also panned across a lot of the creature design models -- I'm excited to see the fauns!!! So that made me even MORE happy, since I'm all so into the Narnia books right now!!
Anyway, my session today was sweet. I didn't pick up my hip brace, because I stayed up until 7:30, when I was going to have a QUICK nap before waking up a few hours later. Unfortunately I didn't wake at all and I missed my LAST english class and my drawing class. UGH. So I didn't manage to pick up the brace, either. I will try for tomorrow.
I started out with alternating inside kicks (which, again, are pretty hard for me). I made up a ton of basic kick drills for myself, which was SWEET! I had so much fun practicing the basics! Here are some of my drills:
-outside kick > same toe kick > same inside kick > op inside kick > same toe kick > same outside kick > same toe kick > same ...you get the idea. That one was HARD and felt sooo satisfying!!
-inside kick > op osis [repeat] (also super satisfying!!)
...Actually that's all I really remember. It was great, though. I did a BIT of guiltless bailing. I think one run was about 30+ contacts, which felt nice, but I think I overdid it a bit. Spinning clippers feel SOOOO great. It's SOOO nice out right now!! I think I even got a bit of a sunburn on my back through my shirt!!! (And I don't burn!!!) I don't thnik I aggrivated my hip at all, which is awesome. I think I will keep playing, hopefully, every day at least a little bit. I will keep it SLOW for real, though. I can't wait to try that brace on!!!!

DO NOT, REPEAT,DO NOTOVER EXERT YOUR SELF AND RE-REINJUR YOUR SELF SO AS TO LIMIT ALL POSIBILITES FOR SHRED THIS SUMMER!
with that out of the way...
i'm glad you're happy and kicking again, it's crazy hot out right now eh? so nice to be outside. josh and i played at Juno fest downtown on sunday when they had portage closed off. we got a couple small crowds of watchers but nothing major. was still fun though, but then the clouds had to come out and ruin every thing! keep kicking LIGHTLY and you should help rehab that leg. remember, the hack sack was invented to help recover from a knee injury, maybe hacky slacking will help with the hip as well.

I want to shred with you guys, but I know I will end up pushing myself too hard, as always. It's such a dilemna @_____@
I'm awake at, like, 4 in the morning again. RAH!
I am working on a homevideo DVD. I think I will also make an instuctional DVD with all the move demos I filmed for Hackrifice (full quality, of course) -- I may dub over with tips and stuff, too -- my brother has a nice microphone. I don't know if I will actually do this, but I think it would be rad and I could hand it out to newbies at Hackrifice Open. I still really want to film all the rest of the moves I had on that list of, like, 600(!) moves from when I filmed those clips about 1.5(?) years ago. There's so much we could film, still. Maybe when Derek and I are finished school for the summer we can have a huge Erik's House Jam and Move Demo Filming session
As it is, I guess I will just keep practicing on my own until it's SAFE to push myself.
I was watching old MOTW clips -- Derek and Andrew are so sick.

I got my brace thingy on Friday. I'm not 100% sure if it's what my doctor was talking about...in fact I just realized I don't think it is...but the girl was explaining it to me and the instruction thing that came with it (very brief) says it's for my sort of thing. It's basically just a really tight bike short thing, which gives me support in my mucsles, I guess?
(I went shopping and picked up a perscription my doctor gave me, and I got a new keyboard, and I bought some toothbrushes, and my brace thing...anyway this new keyboard has the insert/home/pageup/delete/end/pagedown buttons a row lower. i use the home and end buttons a lot...not to mention delete...it's getting really annoying, and I'm not sure ai want to get used to this, because then I will be confused on other keyboards...)
So I played for about an hour and a half, or two hours with my brace on Friday (some little girls -- 10 years old-ish? -- kept rollerblading around the block and went in for dinner, I guess, at one point. After they came out again they rollerbladed past and were, like, "You've been out here for an hour!". My neighbourhood is really friendly...oh some couple walked by with their dog and said hi, too. I used to know everybody on my block by name, but it's all different now and weird. Once a pizza guy stopped and watched me for like 15 minutes and my dad went out for a walk and my dad was, like, "He's really good, isn't he?" or something, and they were all talking. That was last year, though...)
I played a LITTLE today. My brother knocked on my door at 4-ish. I think I was just reading, or something. Oh yeah, he was holding a sandman and was, like, huffing and puffing, or something. He had been playing for a bit and was getting ready for work, and I was, like, "You were playing?" (Because he hasn't played for YEARS, really, either.) "I want to play too!" (or something...) and then he was, like, "Well I could play a bit more before work." So we played for about 20 minutes or so. I had been laying in bed since I woke up (2ish, but talking to Marita on the phone for a couple hours) and this was the first movement I had all day. It was sooo nice out (likw 25!!!!????? ...supposedly..) and it was so fun to play with someone else. We basically just HACKED, which I haven't done for AGES. I've been having lots of fun just schooling my basic kicks, and it was great. Konrad was practicing clippers. He's always been a toe-player, but he did, like, 4 or 5 sameside clippers on his badside (he's really bothsided...more-so than me!). Actually, I think that's all he did for teh whole time we played. I was telling him about my basic kicks and he was, like, "I can't do toe kicks", so I tried to explain them. Then he was, like, "i can do everything." And I was, like, "Well...you just said you couldn't do toe kicks." And he was, like, "Oh yeah." And I said, "Can you do outsides?" And he was, like, "Oh...no..." And I said, "So you're saying you can do inside kicks?" And he bowed his head and said, "Yes." Hehe. But then I was, like, "So you can't do outside kicks?" And he was, like, "No." But tried and did a whole bunch in a row and even busted a RAINBOW! (That's, like, impossible for me, almost...) and then he started to do some toe kicks nicely. This is a very uneventful story.
My keyboard keeps causing me to miss proper punctuation and spelling. I am going to try to play every single day. Probably not much until Tuesday, because I have a final on Tuesday I haven't started studying for (and a final next Monday and a paper due) but then I should start playing LOTS more...and even later this week. I am going to take intersession, too, if i can get into the courses I want (registration has ben open for a week already)...but it will only be 2 hours every day -- early classes, so either I will miss them completely, or I will go and have a full day to play footbag and draw. Yay.
It's late now and I have to be at work in 5 hours. I went to bed SUPER early but then woke up and stayed up. I have sleeping problems

(or something...) and then he was, like, "Well I could play a bit more before work." So we played for about 20 minutes or so.
