Who the hell judged that. Stefan does have very original tricks but they are all based on the same side setting and who's add values remain low compared to the other two. Honza's is very nice indeed and a very close too up between Klouda. I disagree slightly with the outcome of that judging...

hmm yeh tough call on the Sick3 eh! Vaskas second combo is probably the hardest one there, but its all well and good in hindsight hey. Honzas combo is phat as!

Here are my thoughts on the Sick3. This analysis is purely theory based- without seeing the actual moves executed, it`s hard to say who I would have voted for.
1. Honza Weber:
Alpine Food Processor > PS Whirl > Spinning Pdx Blender
Here`s how my mind processed this combo: very difficult and cool trick, linked to a very baily 5, which links easily into an easy 6. The first trick is very cool and difficult, and he gets automatic props and an advantage for trying something so hard in comp, especially in a Sick 3. The only other trick hit in competition which rivals this in difficulty would be Vasek`s stepping whirling swirl. Anyway, Honza`s first trick is very cool, but Sick 3 is all about linking cool moves. So: great opening trick, but the second trick (PS whirl) isn`t that impressive to me in a sick3, unless it is played out of with a difficult link. The problem with PS whirl, is that it doesn`t demonstrate control of the previous trick. Most pros can hit PS whirl off of any clipper, even really shaky ones. So while alpine food is a cool trick, linking it to PS whirl isn`t overwhelmingly sick to me. The final trick, spinning pdx blender, is definitely a cooler trick than ps whirl, but the link of ps whirl to spinning blender is also pretty easy. Spinning out of ps whirl is very natural, and spinning blender isn`t that hard for people with good spins.
In conclusion: great opening trick, but the links weren`t that impressive. Looked more like a Sick1 with a good seal, than a Sick3.
2. Stefan Siegert:
Frantic Legover > Pigbeater > Pixie Butterfly Swirl
2 things struck me when I first saw this combo: the frantic set, and the fact that all 3 moves start from the same toe, with a pixie set. Frantic legover earns points because its still a rare and difficult set. But linking pigbeater out of a move which is set->legover isn`t that hard. Still, pigbeater is cooler than smog imo. The last trick is also very cool, and I like the fact that all 3 moves in this combo are triple dexes. What really hurts this combos chances, is the fact that all 3 moves start off with pixies on the same toe. With Sick3, I want to be overwhelmed by something. Overall difficulty, a very creative link, good variety of mastered components, something. While I liked the frantic set, none of the individual moves was overwhelmingly hard, none of the links were that hard (for a good pixie player), and the same foot pixie repeated 3x in a row all hurt it.
3. Vasek Klouda:
Scorpion's Tail > Food Processor > Spinning Pdx Blender
Its tempting to dismiss this combo, because you know Vasek is capable of something much harder and more impressive. Sick3 isn`t about the player though, it`s about the combo. You have to look at the combos objectively. So:
I mentally registered this combo like this: cooler than average 5, tricky link to a standard 6, very hard link to a standard 6.
In terms of Sick 3, I think this was the best combo. Why? Because of the links. None of the tricks by themself are particularly hard, but they were linked together in an interesting way which made the combo hard. The combo loses a couple points for using the same side spin twice, but I think that`s compensated for by having both blenders. Scorpion`s tail to stepping set is kinda tricky, and zoom setting out of food is very stylish and also very hard. Like I mentioned in Honza`s analysis, spinning blender isn`t that hard if you can spin, but the fact that it was played into from a zoom (and a 6) makes it more impressive.

The link to whirlwind isn`t overly impressive (whirling swirl to spin), but what hurts the combo is the second link, and the similarity between the last two tricks. Both of them are variants on spinning pdx whirl, and link very naturally. The combo is pretty much a beast, but I still register it more as Sick1 with seals, than as a true sick3.
Let me close by saying I thought all the combos were very good, and I`m always impressed when people can hit good things in competition. I don`t know how many tries they had, or when the comp was held (at worlds sick3 was held past midnight, when everybody was already exhausted) but those are still good combos.
