some Laver colors discontinued?
I've noticed while browsing through wordfootbag.com and zappos.com and adidas.com that the blue and red lavers are now seemed discontinued. Wordfootbag.com only has the shoes in 4 and 4.5 and the shoe doesn't even show up on the Adidas site or Zappos. Is this true?! Are we now limited to white/navy and white/green?!

Jordan, this is true. Those colors have been out of production for a long time. If you look on ebay, you'll see a lot of twill lavers (striped), some plaid ones once in a while, and lots of leather onces. plain old white mesh ones are common. sometimes something even weirder will show up. There are some canvas ones going around as well.
But yes, different editions of the rod laver go out of production.

Some have tried to convince adidas that the footbag community if worth
creating a shoe or something but the truth is that only about less than 1%
of adidas Rod Laver sales are to footbag players.
I am going to be "The One" to Sell Rod Lavers Worldwide. I'm already invested in about 15 pairs.

Maybe we should try to get tennis players to sign that petition to keep lavers in production too.sen wrote:Good luck with that! Addidas doesn't care about footbag. . .Jdigges wrote:We should convice addias to create a pair of lavers catering to footbag community

I thought footbaggers made up a big portion of Rod Laver sales?ShredOnLawn wrote:Some have tried to convince adidas that the footbag community if worth

They came in leather or mesh, and you had your choice of green or blue, and they could be manufactured in a variety of countries, each having their own idea of how wide the strip on the tonque should be.ShredOnLawn wrote: Before 2000 there was almost no selection at all for Lavers.
Tons of variety, collect and trade em all .

It is my plan in a year when I graduate to go work for a shoe company as a junior engineer.Blue_turnip wrote:Argh, i wish some footbagger should get a job at adidas and design the *ultimate* footbag shoe
I hope to design the ultimate shoe in time.
I don't think anyone else in the world is currently in the position I am in to be able to actually get into a shoe company and make this happen.
Wish me luck guys!
