Mosher's Footblog
I missed a few pages of your blog. I've only been quickly browsing the forum lately. I just wanted to point out that BRIAN MCKENZIE as the MASTER of ankle crank. He may be from before your day. I think he got injured and hasn't really played much since? Check out some Kamakenzie footage if you can!!!

I want super crankles sooo bad, I love how they look!!
I think it looks so stylish when someone makes a random osis frigid just because they can.
Jon Z does some sick looking frigid set ss whirls that are to die for.
I am going to look into what excercises will help to really strengthen the muscles that pull the foot into clipper.
I keep making my broka mod bigger and bigger because I keep realizing that the ankle support is still kinda doing it's job restricting the motion.
I guess since I am using a shoe that no one else is I sorta have to make educated guesses as I go along modding to get them real nice.
I like footbag.

Yah Kamakenzie was at the this last event in philly. Definitely playing, and definitely busting huge. Lots of long strings, lots of huges tricks (fusion, tapping torque, janiwalker..) all on command. At worlds he was injured though, he did something to his ankle if i remember correctly.

Brendan Erskine from Aus is also fairly close to Moglum's ankle craziness. He has kind of a similar style to Moglum. He also does all those kind of crazy Frigid moves and Frigid sets (Helical, Arctic etc)
No footage online of him though i dont think...

Today I tried nemesis a bunch of times.
The bag usually hits the ground when I am beginning to attack the third dex.
Give me two months and I will hit it.
It felt crazy thinking that I now am capable of the components but I am still very aware that nemesis is still much harder than the sum of it's parts.
But still. I don't give a fuck, I can hit anything.
The only way to get good at footbag is to believe deep down that you are a superhero capable of anything on command.
You are bad ass, you have syle and flow and grace.
I love how ellis piltz (heh, rather Eliot Ellis) puts it in Undefeated (is that what it's called? whatever) when he talks about just being in this super confident state where the tricks just happen. You aren't unconscious of what you are doing, rather you are in this world of confidence where the only bounds are your imagination. I love that place! I love it when I beat strikes me when I am shredding and it just moooves me!
I can't wait to do all the crazy strings I have in my head!! ahh!!
DRILL>DRILL RPT!
It is 5 something AM, thus I better go to bed.
It's Vida's birthday in 5 days!!! I sure hope the present I got for her comes from the internet in time. It's gonna be so effin sweet. I was gonna keep it a secret all along but the hints I gave her were too obvious I guess. I totally thought they were good and cryptic, I guess she's too smart for me. It's hard to give guesses that give the person any clue without giving away the gift.
Annnnnnycase, I won her some Lavers on ebay!!
There were like.. nine thousand auctions for the striped cordoroy lavers that I didn't want and then ONE auction for a pair of womens size 7.5 blue mesh lavers that no one had bid on for sale for $9.99!
I bid on them and won and I have paid for them, we are just waiting for them to come in the mail.
I am so psyched for her to have lavers! That's such a big step in learning footbag!
I sorta consider the start of my footbag career at the point I got my lavers, it just changed everything. All the sudden I was a 'serious freestyler' and I was so into it and in love with progression.
The 12th 32 I made, Royal Bank, lives with Vida. They snuggle together every night. I am really glad she has a nice 32 to play with. She hates the 4 panel I made her because he is crazy. he's named Circus Freak. She's smart to hate 4 panels, 32's are just so sweet.
Vida is so frigging sweet, you guys still have no idea. I don't even know how to convey it in here so I never say anything. I don't even have words in my vernacular that describe all this. I just keep saying 'intense' because that's how it feels. She makes me smile and laugh so much, what a combo. ...sigh... swoon...
ok.. now it's even later than when I said I was gonna go to bed.
noooowwww I am going to bed. It's 5:16 AM.

So I was tripping on mushrooms the other day with Vida when Paul Agostinelli (NEL on modified) calls me up. He says he's in Toronto and he wants to get together and shred and shit. Being the silly yankee he is he underestimated how far Kingston was from Toronto but he was no less determined to come when I informed him that it was not 45 minutes away but more like 3 hours.
Three hours later he and two of his friends were in Kingston at my house!
I pumped some hearty Canadian bowls through them and around 3:30 AM we decided it was a good idea to go outside and shred.
We made use of the new spot that Derrick and I found. It was my first time using it and now I can report that it is SUPERB!!
We stayed up shredding there until around 6 AM!
I know I will be spending maaany long summer nights shredding there.
It is almost directly across the street, it has bright, shadowless lighting and it's just this little nook right off the main street. We played music the whole time and drank beers and got no guff from the cops.
Hahah in fact we got quite the opposite!
A cop stopped when he saw us, backed up, rolled down his window and started chatting with us. The americans were all afraid that the cop was going to hassle us and give us shit. Rather than doing that he said to us "You guys have been drinking right??" implying that we *should* have been drinking considering we were out in the cold in our little shorts. hahah only in Canada!
I gave Paul Mosher13 and 14 to give to Matt and Chris.
I am now under the impression that the filler I use is too aggressive.
It breaks the bags in fast and then puts holes in them.
Sorry Matt and Chris, I think this will happen.
Paprika has pinholes.
I think I want to make a bag like Royal Bank for myself, yes, I have made enough bags for others for the week, I deserve a new 32.
I just made a handful of 4-panel bags to send to Quebec for Skankin-Jippe and one to go to Banff to my buddy Jesse.
I am getting better at making them quickly yet still more consistently than before.
It's frustrating making 4-panel bags because it is really hard to make them look good and professional. I work as hard on a 4 panel as I do on a 32, its just the nature of them that they don't come out as nice.
I refuse to glue shut my bags so I do a blindstitch also, I think it is much more proper.
I read somewhere that if you snuggle with a Pipenbag at night it breaks in better so I have been sleeping with my new Pipenbag every night. I just named him Bubblegum! hehe, I like that name!
Two nights ago Vida made one of my lifelong dreams come true.

Thats me on Christmas Day 1987, since that day I have dreamed of riding along on my skateboard holding hands with my sweetheart.
I skated over to Vida's house the other day and she met me half way on her skateboard and then we rode together to her house!!
VIDA IS THE GREATEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!
I know I'll never meet a girl like her again, I feel so lucky that I met her!
She is this amazing source of happiness and excitement in my life.
We've got some big plans, her and I have had some really good ideas that you will all know about soon.
I am going to go buy a bike and then go show off my new chopper to Vida since she lives basically next door.
Life is good.

Two more things!
My Henry Griese Bag came in the mail and so did my Hackrifice DVD!
Hehe, the GreaseBag is definately a collectors edition.
The DVD came with an INCREDIBLE hand drawing of me!
I have never owned a drawing of me, especially not a drawing by ERIK CHAN of me shredding!
It's a drawing of one of the GLASS photos I think.
I love it.
I will take a picture ASAP.
Checking my mail every day is so exciting! I have a bunch of things still on their way!
Wheee!!
If anyone wants to mail me things I will mail you stuff back!!!

Yo Tom!
Good to hear that your shred is going well, as is your stitching. As for Vida, she sounds like a keeper. Definately one to hold on to
Props on finding her
. Dude, when you bust nemesis, you gotta get it on camera. That will be the ultimate phatness.
Laterz, Jesse.
