Fish Oil
Fish oil is a very healthly thing. Not only for joints... I take three caps a day... It covers my daily demand for omega-3 acids, and some other. But omega-3 is very important thing in your diet, and majority of population doesn't cover even 50% of daily demand...
I makes you stronger, healthier... It's just helps for everything in your organism.

I too take fish oil. It is the best source of Omega 3's you can consume outside of eating fish constantly without any of the worry. Fish oil isn't made specificly for joints, it's more of a supplement to enhance your circulatory functioning and getting blood lipid levels at an optimum level. I recommend it if you are very active like me and/or if you want to improve your health.
On a side note, I also take Flax Oil which is very similiar to Fish Oil but it produced through the Flax plant instead of through an animal.

You can pick it up at any Pharmacy, Drug Store, or Grocery outlet for like $8 for 120 pills. Not that expensive for taking care of your body, plus it lasts for atleast a month.Asmus wrote:But does'nt fish oil cost like 22345829035820358 dollars?

Cripes, Jorden, you're getting a raw deal! It doesn't cost much here at all (in fact, less than $8 / 120). And yeah, I've been taking it ever since my ankle sprain, which cleared up in about a week and a half. Don't know if it was the fish oil that did it, but I would guess it contributed somehow... probably. o.0

liver oil is a vitamin d produkt, it is not ment for the good oils... a really good fishoil produkt(dont´know if you have it in the states) is Eye-Q. it dosent make you stink and you do not have to take as much oil that you have to with the the flaxseed´s oil... if you frie your fish on a pan you will destroy the good oils, same for an oven. the only good fish is sushi!
there´s lots of good produkts on the market, just go find´em, and flax seed is also a good produkt, just make sure it is coldpressed, or else you will get the opposite effect, and the oils will damage your health!

I just started taking fish oil, and I've notived that I'm probably a better runner now, and I've hit longer strings, but I sweat twice as much. It's disgusting, but I'd say at least until school starts it's worth it. I didn't really have joint problems before, so I can't say much about it helping joints.
I noticed this too, but then I stopped rubbing it to my armpits and tried taking it oral instead - *whish* the problem was gone!ShredOnLawn wrote:COD LIVER OIL MAKES YOU SWEAT STINKY.
(I don't use fish oil, but I think now when the winter comes I'll start taking something alike ("oral emulsion", can't remember all the stuff it includes, though the flavor of orange is icky.
