Whats up everyone.

I been circle kicking my whole life. hitting toe stalls Flying clippers shit like that.

I guess freestyle started when i saw my first sandbag at a mall. it was a 12 panel sandbag and i was amazed at how nice and easy stalls were. then i remmebered a kid in college who did pendulums and flapper stalls. so i figured with my new bag i would give some new tricks a try. i learned pendulum and got a whole let of friends circle kicking again. I decided to hit the internet and see what other tricks i could learn and then it happened www.footbag.org. When i saw freestyle i freaked that those tricks were possible. i decided i wanted to see this in person. i sent an email out to all chicago land players. A guy in my area emailed me back we met up he showed me a slew of amazing 3-5 add tricks i was amazed. I bought my first pair of lavers right away he showed me how to mod them and got my Mr sand bag not to long after.

Me and him shred that whole summer almost everyday. i quickly learned the easy 2 adds. leg over ATW mirage clipper. Then unfortunately he broke his ankle playing bball my shred partner was gone and so was my motivation. it wasnt until the mayor dalys sports fest in downtown chicago that i met the Chicago inner circle crew and now im back in action.

So currently im shredding by myself in this cold shitty weather schooling my clips and mirages and i can hit strong side butterfly like nothing so sometimes i try a pixie set butterfly i also been trying ducks and dives. i can set from toe and hit ducking clip and sometimes diving clip.

I school both sides but as much as i should i can almost do everything both sides but its not to the point where there isnt a difference.

My goal is to be a solid tiltless freestyler. I think if can accomplish that i will have a great foundation to learn the big add tricks.

my other factor is my weight im probably 20-30 lbs over weight i have never let this be an excuse i have always been athletic just never enough to battle my bad eating habits so this motivates me to shred EVERYDAY. my feet hurt my legs hurt but i feel good about spending time away from video games and television and doing something constructive.

Feel free to comment i would love to hear someone’s story about battling weight with footbag

Shawn! nice to see you on the forum. Sorry I could not shred with you again on Sunday, I had to babysit my nieces. There should be another jam this sunday, though. Hope to kick with you then.

Whats up Zeke. Is the entire CIC crew on here on a regular basis.

It was a blast kicking with you guys. 4 Square fuckin rocks lol.
I hope next time i shred with you guys it will be on a better day. That saturday was rough at work and i was just physically drained.

Im gonna be moving the next week so im not sure when the next time you will see me up on the north side. If the weather improves i will attempt to set up a jam in my area. But once im all moved in and things are normal you will be seeing my ugly mug alot. Wherever freestyle in the chicagoland area is i will be also.

Mostly me and Kamil.
Tom, Brian and James will make an occasional appearance.
Tim is too damn lazy. His heart wouldn't pump if it wasn't automatic.
Dan would probably be out enjoying the Florida weather than be on a PC.
Keaton... man, I dunno what happened to him.
and Reile is a fuckin quitter. But I spit that out with all due respect.

I'm kidding, Reile

but not really

seriously, it was just a joke

no it wasnt

yeah, kinda

no

yeah...

EDIT:
ok, so he seems to be getting back into it...

today i kicked with kamil and tom from CIC. I felt real good this night my clips were still shitty but i had a few decent ducks and dives to clip. I also finally started to hit weakside Leg over. My mirages felt real solid both sides. and i also started hitting weakside pixie.

Im still not able to do a moderatly long string but im feeling closer to and closer to some nice tiltless strings each day i play.

Everything is starting to get a little bit easier and more comfortable i just gotta keep training those 2 adds (both sides :!: ) especially clip

This is a very good feeling im making new freinds im on great pace to get in great shape and my hard work is paying off with some solid tiltless potential one day.

been a while since adding to this but i got alot to add.

My trick development.

2 adds: been concentrating hard on linking and drilling links. I got better at doing nice strong side pixie sets mid run. Got alot more consistent with mirage and Flipside leg over. finally started hitting pickups Both sides !!!!. they still need some schooling. I was inspired by Zeke to try more inside delay shit so i did and i was able to hit inside ATWs both sides both directions it has an interesting look.

Clippers well i feel with the amount of time i put into this fucking trick i should be a pro. But im greatly underestimating how hard and how long it takes to master so i have been keeping at it. Both sides are improving but still have some ways to go.

3 adds: pixie legovers have developed into a trick that i love to hit. Its quickly getting easier and easier and have been able to throw it in mid string wich is nice. Still cant hit smear or pixie OS pickup.

Osis: getting better needs a ton more schooling especially flipside. i dont school this hard cause i feel it would be smarter to keep at clippers then work on osis

Ducking and diving tricks: Ducking legover i have done a bunch of them but i have no consistency or control with it so i like it but again maybe over my head and worry about it another day.

ducking/diving clip: schooled this hard for a whole night it paid off im very confident in diving clip and getting there with ducking. I have been trying so hard to hit Clip, ducking>os clip but fall short :(

butterlfys have taken a back seat due to all the clip practice. but i did do a weak side clip set to a strong side butterfly wich was cool. i have hit a few weakside butterflys but still need a ton of practice.

Tricks i should stop trying: anything Symp. YUCK CITY. i look like a retard trying to jump off of one leg i cant do it my body says no.

Diving/ducking butterfly: i have hit it twice but not worth the risk of injuring myself since i go very airborne and put my ankle in the perfect fall and break it position.

diving osis: another trick i look dumb as hell atemping the bag always hit my shoulder but its so tempting since the first time i tried it the bag actually landed and i actually set the bag and completed the osis. But the bag went 10 feet the wrong direction but it still counts right :)

Goals: I was thinking about setting a goal. and here goes.

my goal is to be doing Tiltless runs of up to 10 contacts or more and doing guiltless runs of up to 5 or more (that may be a reach but hey you gotta have goals right) and to loose about 20-30 lbs by that time.

This was the weekend of blues fest. and it had some highlights

first time hits:

diving legover

pixie SS mirage

pixie pickup

pixie legover and then an imediate flipside pixie legover.

and the craziest luckiest moment ever was ducking osis i didnt even watch the bag i spun and randomly but succesfully did an osis

Far legover then smear

After getting some solo schooling tips from reid and eric im definately gonna take a step back and school basics hard. i have to get better at clipper i mean im happy that i can pixie set over my head and do pixie set tricks flipside but i must get more variety and better use of cliper BSOS butterfly BSOS and maybe start working on my stepping set along the way. In between of schooling those i need to get better with reverse mirages and pickup.

I really love ducking and diving so hopefully i can work on throwing those in every so often when i set high enough.

i took a weak off due to bronchitis after this weekend of intense shred i feel great and UBER motivated to get out there and school hard.

BRONCHITIS IS IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR YAY :D

I shred hard the past two days i have missed it alot. The feeling of all the bullshit in life goin away. everything thats stresses you out is gone just you and your footbag and some tunes.

I been staying to reid and erics advice of schooling basics harder. Been doing alot of clippers and tricks out of clippers. Far leg over is now becoming one of my favorite tricks. I really like far leg over to diving clip. i also like far leg over, mirage butterfly, p mirage.

My strong side clip is starting to feel really nice im gaining alot of control. flipside is improving slowly but at least its improving a little. even flipside osis is getting a little better, i still cant really do it but im getting closer, im making contact and got the timing down just still need a flatter surface on my flipside clip foot. my strongside osis has improved, i had a few really nice sets that if i was expecting to set that nicely could have posibly done a trick out of.

i still have so much room for imporvement especially when it comes to stanima and balance. everytime i flip pixie i lose my balance just a tad?

the only new trick i have hit of late is sole stall. i have always came close but today was the first time i succesfully held it reall solid for about 10 seconds then started laughing and it droped.

I plan to shred every day doing drills so i can hopefully have some nice long smooth runs at the taste of chicago on sunday. im just really happy with this cough going away and this really nice weather and everything at work is starting to get easier.

this summer fucking rules.
Except the lack of my highschool/area freinds being involved they just dont care about footbag or really doing anything outside of video games and bars. oh well

Ok its been a long time but much has been improved

I had a great sesh with josh today.

I hit smudge bs

hit a guiltless string Butterfly>op butterfly>osis

Hit a nice pixie pickup, ducking mirage, symp mirage bsos, smear bsos,

I worked on tiltless runs i had a 2 runs with 10 contacts or more all varied clipper/toe 2 adds

The bad part is i was unable to hit a whirl but oh well more practice and i will start getting a feel for it.

I also did 2 really nice FLIP side osis, im really happy with the my turnaround on the flip sided clipper tricks they have plagued me for a long long time now and i finally starting to see some progress.

I miss my CIC boys its been to long, I loath winter for i know i will see you guys substantially less than i have this summer.

But theres new years jam and i would like to plan a trip to CSS (thats in the winter right)

Any whirl tips are welcome im hitting them every so often strong side only i seem to struggle with finding the perfect way to set for the trick. I think as my clipper gets better so will my whirl and trying it flipside makes me feel like im physically challenged its so unatural feeling but that wont stop me from learning cause i love my flipside :)

PEACE

Nice goals!

Smudge (and blizzard) is hard to get clean. Your close, and may have got it some times. Work those illusions

Nice whirls. Totally clean.
Nice step set. You could prolly hit something out of it if you just try 10 times.

If i hit a step set its going to have to be the lowest quickest leg over physically possible.

I will keep working at it.

And thanks for the constructive feedback, Never think twice about giving it to me i can hadle it and i really want to be told if something isnt clean or if im doing something in bad form.

If i could ever find constructive feedback for you i would give it but your pretty dam good and every dex is so deap and clean i just watch in awe.

Yesterday had a mellow session schooling clipper butterfly and osis.

Did non stop osi`s for the last 30 minutes.

I had some reall good feeling ones on my flip side but the i lost it and went back to my flip side habit of rushing the turn, not keeping my foot flat.

But my strong side osis was on fire i had alot of control and was setting them exactly where i wanted them to go, now i need to do a trick out of them.

It feels weird working hard on clipper tricks, i have been shredding for a year and been doing nothing but toe tricks and now im being drawn away from that and really want to have SOLID tiltless balanced smooth controled runs. I wont be forgeting my toe tricks for there is still room for imporvement but i feel that my game is unbalanced and negatively affected by how shitty my clip tricks are.

Im very determined and anybody who kicks with me will be noticing a major change in my style if not already they will soon.

I also need to realize this trick called pixie clipper. Because its easy, im really good at pixie but i never ever ever use this trick and its a dam shame cause i could possibly utilize that to make a nice little guiltless run. I just keep forgeting it exists. I need a what the QBs where on there rists for play calling.
