Video featuring some CIC guys!

Post by Krafty »

Hey guys, this is basically my first 'real' video and I made it out of the 20 minutes of footage I got from shredding with some of the Chicago Inner Circle guys a week ago, on Saturday. I mainly had footage of Eric Siegel, Will Rockey, and some of Tom Kaycho because the others were playing 4 square most of the time. So, any criticism or comments will be greatly appreciated. I'm posting both a high-quality version of the video and a low-quality version (thanks to Kamil for compressing the high-quality one!), but I highly recommend the high-quality one if you have Cable internet or something. So, enjoy! :D

http://s8.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2VPGP ... ROAA3MTUGA
(low-quality, approximately 12 mb, 4:50 long)

http://s8.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0ZDU1 ... 8JS80BHBLL
(high-quality, approximately 68 mb, 4:50 long)

P.S. I hope you're happy Kamil!!

Wow! Your club is huge. Cool vid, I liked the music! For some reason, it reminded me of the 80s. That mall was probably built in the 80s.

Thanks Rory! I'm glad you liked the vid; I was going for a smooth, jazzy feel to the video, so that's why I chose that music! Any more comments would be awesome! :)

The new wave!
Tim's got a MASSIVE old skool mountain-man-Lon Smith beard going on there!
Will's got SICK style!! Very reminiscent of Blackjack 4nier! (Another newbie also has a similar style -- he competed in a sick three with and eggbeater and a dimwalk and a whirl, in some order...good stuff! STYLEY!) It was nice to see some Jon and Tom in there too :)
Thanks for the video, CIC really HAS grown!! What's up with Styley Reile?

LOL. wow i came across this and my first thought was i know my fat newb ass is gonna be in this video.

That was a fun day i just wish i had more energy, worked kicked my ass that day and i was having a rough time doing more than a 2 trick string. But it was fun to hang out with CIC. and its funny to see me on a shred video. Maybe one day i will be on a shred video actually shredding lol.

Is the link jacked? I get some weird web page popping up. I wanna see the video, even though I was there.

Mike and Emily hooked me up - Bittorrent style.

I can't believe I haven't thought of setting up a tracker with our vids yet.

Wow that was a nice video, Kaushik. I was wowed.

Sorry about the link Tom, I fixed it now! I'm soo happy everyone liked the video! :) Maybe I'll start making more now! I'll try to make a video of myself next time Emily, maybe this week!

P.S. Erik, yeah Tim's beard is massive, but the best part is that he only has that beard on one side of his face. The other side of his face is clean shaven! :)

Very well done, Kaushik! I really appreciate you posting this, it was a treat since I haven't seen myself shred in a while. Thanks for the kind words Erik. I agree with Emily, I'd really like to see some footage of Kaushik.

Yay, I'm finally in someone's video.

Thanks so much Kaushik. Very well done. Come out to Deerbrook Mall anytime this summer, and drag the rest of the CIC with ya!

Hey Will, your pixie rake at the start of the vid reminded me a little bit of Jorden...a little bit. Haha, later.

Was the vid kinda jumpy for anybody else? Overall real good stuff. I only had one problem with it: Jon Nagela should play with a shirt on. Seriously, you were playing in a real public place with a great chance at exposing people to the sport, and one shredder is shirtless. In the background you can see all these passersby looking interested, and I can`t help but wonder if the fact that one guy is shirtless intimidated or put off somebody who would have expressed interest in learning.

Not expressing this real well... gonna go eat some lunch, then maybe come back and edit.

But yeah, thanks for the new vid. Its great to see such a big scene with so much potential.

I completely agree about the shirt, Ken. Tom and I did tell him about putting the shirt back on but Jon just shrugged us off. He tends to... uh, he does whatever the hell he wants, basically.

I also felt weird about it, and Zeke mentioned it to Jon, but then 10 people came over and started sweating Jon and his moves. They did all but ask him for an autograph...he got shy and put on his shirt after that.

correction, he has a massive old skool mountain-man half-beard. Half his face is a huge beard and the other half is stubble. I enjoyed kicking with Tim thoroughly at CSS6 and am glad I got to see him in a vid. Your mall is sooo nice. Ours is just a piece of crap but hey, montana mall vs. chicago mall. of course yours is gonna be nicer.

p.s. I love that people are playing 4 square. 4 square rules!!!

I love that Kaushik is so hardcore about freestyle and didn't play 4 square. He practiced some more moves and shred in the other circle.
On the other hand I also love that Shawn was willing to try something different and more than held his own on his first time playing 4 square.
I can't wait to kick with you guys again.
