Single-Beverly Hills-already released.

anyone else stoked?? i already downloaded "Beverly Hills" which is an awesome song...i cant wait to get the rest of it! Weezer opinions?

Yeah I dig Weezer. I need to listen to them more but chunks of their old cd's are awesome. I hope their riffs in this one are just as good.

Mind you, the awesome parts of the old cd's were the chunks I heard so if all goes as it has, then all of their albums are awesome.

yeah, the blue album is by far the most popular and well known. pinkerton is infamous...not many people like much of it. it does have a couple REALLY good songs, like El Scorcho. Maladroit came out most recently, and i think its hugely underrated...its got a lot of good stuff on it, but its not overly popular either. the green album is probably the second most popular, and if you want to hear more good weezer, i recommend the green album. good shredding music, really.

man, I thought pinkerton was the best weezer album ever. I don't think there's a song I don't like on it.

Pinkterton and the Blue Album were amazing. Their worst idea ever was re-uniting a few years later and producing a few years of CRAP!

Nonetheless 'say it aint so' is one the sweetest tunes ever, dont they even play hacky sack in the video!?!?!?

i like a lot of pinkerton, but honestly, i think maladroit really does have a lot more songs on it that are capable of being classics, that i can listen to over and over.

on 'say it aint so'...ABSOLUTELY. possibly my favorite weezer song of all time.
other good songs:
-Dope Nose
-Hash Pipe (of course)
-Island in the Sun
-My Name is Jonas (obvious pick)
-No Other One (for you huge pinkerton fans)
-Death and Destruction (contains the best guitar solo i have ever heard)

hm...im sure i forgot a couple of my favorites.

I have nearly every Weezer song ever made.
107 Songs total on my computer.

I will send DATA cd's or audio cd's to very serious fans.

Chad D. and Ethan Husted are also big fans.

There's also a branch off band by the drummer called "Special Goodness"

The Rentals are also a branchoff Weezer band with a couple good songs. It was funny, they tried to pretend they were some eastern european band that was held down under the soviets, but the second anybody saw them or heard them, they`d be like: "aren`t you one of the guys from Weezer?"

Personally, I really liked Pinkerton. First album is gold too. Maladroit didn`t impress me, but maybe I just need to listen to it again.

ugh, im so jealous! i would kill for that.

i really like the guitar in beverly hills...of course the guitar is the reason i like a ton of weezer songs (the cool vocals are another factor), but beverly hills has a lot of nice guitar stuff going on in the background. and, like a lot of other weezer songs, it also has good lyrics, especially in the first couple verses

EDIT-SHIT! i knew i was forgetting a couple of my actual favorite weezer songs earlier..."The World Has Turned" has some of the most poignant lyrics ever, and "Only In Dreams" has the greatest build ever.

EDIT2---in reference to what kind of music weezer is...they have been called "Geek Rock"...and i would say the sound definitely has some influence of stoner-type stuff (depending on the song, really), lots of old-school-sounding guitar solos, and cool harmonizing vocals. thats what i think.

RhymesWithAlex and I just got back from the Weezer show in Atlanta. It was perhaps one of the most amazing things that I have ever experienced. Weezer rocks.
