how does style affect who is the best?
if you have terrible style but hit 50 fearless who cares? you would still be the best player. If two players are of the same skill level then style is very important but it shouldnt determine the best freestyler.

How do you figure, Jon? Didn't this sport start to exist because the tricks looked cool? Now that doesn't count? What does count? Adds?
Holy question marks.

style is not an ability
everyone's got style; it's useless to enumerate it
or, to tell it the other way :
who do you think has not got style ?

I think there's different players who are the best at each category that
you wrote. Some may be the best at several categories, some categories
like "style" are heavily based on personal taste. I think you need to
be more precise. Who is the best player by what definition?
I think this all comes from the recent Vasek vs Jorden discussion, which
is stupid imo; I will never compare those two. Because each
of them is best at different categories. In some they're even, like string
length and such. But while one of them is a more technical shredder,
the other is more on the creative side, more well-rounded.
There is no best footbag player per se. Footbag has become so diverse, there's players who are best in different categories.
I hope this sounds as clear as intended to be. So, by my definition,
every category is as important as the others.

oh style is important, but the point I was trying to make was that if someone is technically good enough (say way better than anyone that came before them) then style shouldnt be the most important, i should have been more clear.Newf wrote:How do you figure, Jon?
