I played for 3 hours yesterday and 2 hours today.



I LOVED EVERY SECOND.


My 520s allow me to play longer and better, i can not get over how good they are.


Highlights of yesterdays session:

Drifter + legbeater bsos
30+contact tiltless run
5 or 6 20+contact tiltless runs
18 infinities

I played from 3:40 PM to about 7:00 PM


Todays session:

Legbeater>ripwalk both sides
Then i messed with spinning and ducking
Ducking clipper b2b
Spinning clipper b2b both sides
Spinning osis both sides again
spinning paradox dragonfly strong side

spinning paradox mirage both sides
mirage>legover>ss butter>ss pickup>rpt 42 contacts
and then when i was too tired to do strings i messed with a new move that is really sweet.

I got it on video, and me and Joe are going to have a sick trick competition. Joe said hes going to hit a 7 add trick with a new set he created. Joe is insane and probably one of the best footbaggers after a year of playing ever in the history of India.

I played for like, 2 hours today. We were playing speedball in gym, its really fun. Its like handball but you cant move with the ball.



I have to write 3 papers this weekend and i also have to do a project tonight. Hmmm i should get to that.

I had a dream about footbag. My first ever 2 nights ago.



I was on vacation with my family, and i see some people footbagging.

I walk up and start shredding. I started talking and they said it was Worlds!!! I was like, WTF!!!!!! Worlds and i didnt even know about it!?!?!


So i walk inside, (theres a footbag building) and i see a kid behind a couch. I ask who he is, he says Peter Irish. I was surprised, cause he looked about 15

So i start shredding with him, he is amazing.

Then me and mini peter go farther into the building, adventuring through obstacles. We make it to another room, and my parents pull their signature move "Were leaving" and i say no, this is worlds damnit, im staying. So they leave. Me and Peter get into a room with Sunil and Kevin Regamey. Kevin was also in child form, but sunil was huge. We shredded, and sunil hit like, blurry ducking symp eggbeater.

We continued to shred, it was great.

Wow, i have been trying to do whirls the last couple of days, and now my left knee is toast.

I have to wear a brace now because whirls hurt so much!

If anyone has some tips on whirls please tell me, if you know how to reduce the pain that would be great!


My dad says i cant play in my room anymore. Thats where the old computer is with all my music, so now i have to burn CD's and stuff and play in the basement. Its really dirty down there (my brothers room) and its not well lit. My room was perfect, and now i cant play there unless my dad isnt home. My mom doesnt care, so i will play whenever my dad is gone.


My ducking is getting really good both sides. I hit ducking clip>ducking clip from both sides, and ive hit 4 ducking clips.


Any tips on Whirls and knee pains is greatly appreciated!

Henry, if your knees hurts from Whirls then you must change your technique. I suppose that you're your shin and foot too much outside, so this make some presure on your ligaments. You should to your whirls with hip and hamstrings. With knee you do only some bending-straighten moves. And al the whirly motion is in your hips. I don't have any words on how you should work with you leg, my english is so weak... You just must find the way is good for your knees.

I played for over 3.5 hours last night


I drilled diving and ducking. IT was one of those sessions, where you want to hit something so bad, and you have to hit it, and your so close, but you cant quite get it. I never quit, and i hit it!


I was working on diving clip>ducking clip>repeat. After 1.5 hours of footing the last ducking clip due to lack of concentration, i was drenched in sweat, and breathing heavily. I had been talking to James Randall, he was giving me encouragement. As soon as i said "I wish i could hit this" i proceeded to hit the drill!


I didnt seal it, so next try i hit it, and sealed to osis>hand catch!

Oh man, i am so excited!


I got 2 other kids into freestyle! We played after school, it was -8 C but we played in sweatshirts. They BOTH hit clipper both sides, and they have toe stalls. One hit atw.


I can not wait!

Calvin and Kevin have joined me in freestyle!


We played after school yesterday and today. Today was -10 C, windy AND snowing but we played anyways. We ended up playing for 45 minutes til kevin had to go to track.

Calvin footed mirage a couple times BOTH SIDES

He also hit clipper both sides

Kevin footed mirage on one side
and he hit inside stall>clipper stall!


They have played for 2 days!

Tonight i had a session in my room, about 1.5 hours. It was so awesome!

Then i hit atomsmasher bsos, ending the string with flip smear>flip atomsmasher>handcatch

next i worked on ducking and spinning

weaving clipper>diving clipper both sides (going to hit that linked with ducking clips next session)
spinning clipper>ducking clipper both sides, i need to link them
Spinning clipper>infinity>repeat

Yeah, Loren i was thinking about what you were hitting. And i tried quantum sets today for like, 15 minutes. I hit tripwalk both sides. I dont know how, but like, a week ago quantum seemed impossible, and i tried today and hit quantum butterflies. Hot Dang!



Then i hit some nice atomic based runs.

I ordered a J-bag, and im awaiting my new pipenbag (my last one broke cause nathan used some weird thread he never used before)



so 2 new 32's are on their way to my house, and my mosher 4 panel got lost in the mail, so im hoping he will make me another with fill that doesnt ruin the bag. All of my 32's are in choicedomness, which means theyre also close to death. I am going to prolong the inevitable with the magic of shoe goo. Im gonna go play outside or in my room, i dont know which yet, in about 10 minuten, ill be back with an update in a couple hours hopefully

You haven't posted in awhile I was wondering what new stuff you are hitting? What things are you saying "I wish I could hit this" and then hit? How are your knees? Can you do whirls yet? Stuff like that.

Yeah man, keep us updated... That last string you posted was sick but it was a while back, I wouldn't be surprised if those were your main tricks now. And I guess I definitely rubbed off on ya aside from pixie butterfly, smear, atomsmasher, legbeater, and pdx mirage are my base tricks (well, blur now, but thats just adding a set...)

Hope you've been keeping up the good work. Expecting good stuff soon...

Sorry, been busy with tennis lately!


I had a meet last night at Monona Grove, and played 2 singles matches. Lost my first one 5 games to 8 and won my second one 8 games to 4.




Footbag has been great, although i only play about 2 or 3 times a week now.

Last session i had i hit blur, atomsmasher, and legbeater both sides in one string.


i had about a 20 contact run with lots of spinning, ducking, atomic, pixie etc. Mostly guiltless.


I think i am going to try to go guiltless really really soon.


At ben:

I said "I wish i could hit spinning clip>diving clip>ducking clip>repeat" and then i hit it in 2 tries

I can not do whirls. I hate trying them cause they tweak my knees bad!


Drifters also mess with my knees now, i need to learn how to do them better this saturday with the madison crew.

This saturday! I finally get to jam with people, for 5 + hours too! Woohoo!


I have a tennis meet tomorrow and when im done tennissing i am going to play footbag. Its going to rock.


Oh some new stuff i have been hitting:

Definitely trying torques a lot. hit a few, but never catch it right.

spinning pdx mirages a lot.

gyro stuff, butterflies, merkons , gyro mirages, close to vortex.


My spinning is equal on both sides! As is my ducking.

Hehe. Today rocked.



I went to Party at the Park to shred with people! I arrived at about 10:45, and right as we pull up i see Rockey walking! It was perfect timing!



We tried to warmup/play at this basketball court, and it was really cold and windy today!

It was about 3-5 celsius with 20-40 MPH winds! We got fed up with the bag being blown away, despite it being very heavy. So we found this awesome spot where the wind was blocked and it was really warm. We shredded, and i hit clip set drifter both sides! This is the first time i have done this in a while cause it usually hurts my knees.

Then while watching Rockey do whirls/symp whirls/ ps whirls i decided to try some. I hit whirl bsos, but then it hurt my left knee again. I guess i can only do whirls on one side.

I hit legbeater>ripwalk.

THen we went down back to the windy park and hackysacked with these two people rockey knew, when Jim Jansen shows up! We hackysacked for about 30 minutes, when we decided to get back to shred.

We went back to our spot and continued to shred, and two more of rockey's friends came and played. One was johnny, who didnt play, and i forget the name of the other guy who did play. He could hit legover>mirage on one side, and he could clipper on one side.

Jim hit some good pixie stuff and he also hit.... ducking butterfly.

Rockey hit pixie paradon (both sides? not sure)

AND he hit barroque! both of those tricks were witnessed by me and clean!

I hit ducking clipper and spinning clipper bsos many times. I also hit ducking butterfly bsos. spinning butterfly bsos.


Rockey hit royale!

I almost hit flail! I hit pixie ss illusion to start a run.


Rockey is awesome at footbag. Jim is really good and he barely even plays.


I hope i can play with rockey more often. And jim too!
