I have some "problems" concerning hop over swirls :

I can (at least on my strongside) do them pretty clean (deep swirl, good delay (I'm able to spin out of it sometimes), fast dexes (I once hit a hop-over swirling ss mirage)).
Here's my problem :
I do them like a hopover. If I watch vids of people hitting it (including the master of correctness Ales) they do some kind of
inside set reverse whirling swirl.

I also hit alot of these, but they are far less consistent, the swirling ain't that clean (stalling also) and I hate doing reverse whirls as they hurt my knee (got a 3-months-problem once with it).

So, my question is :
Is it considered "the" or "dirty" if I don't rev. whirl ?


P.S.: Yeah, yah, yah... I'll also do it flipside....

Now comes the trick tip part :



- Hold your inside-foot really near to your support leg !
- Lean a bit over your inside-foot !

The hop-over/rev.whirl dex (1st one) is a symposium "dexterity" (though it ain't gettin an add for it) :
Hold your inside foot close to the ground (just like a regular swirl) and set through jumping hard (do not enforce the set with your set leg).
- Focus on setting straight up while doing this !

The swirl should be quite easy if your able to swirl and/or toe swirl. If you don't want to use the move as a set you have a lot of time !
- Focus on dexing with your ankle, not your foot !

- Try to "combine" both dexes so they don't feel seperated.
