Never said that, sorry. Where are you're reading comprehension skills? Spend too much time with skipping class for footbag, do you?

The fact that you're even using the term "pendulous" far legover is pretty much strengthening the view that the pendulum is a set, anyway.

And flex... I do like that idea except that it allows for infinite add moves. A defined ending is pretty important. I say end it at a stall position (toe) like EVERY other move. Others say end it from a blind-set-foot-behind-you position. Whatever.

smear>pdx mirage does not compute.

the aerial toe stall thing is probably the flying toe stall concept that
Jorden brought up. in one video he hits this mad fairy flying toe stall
to (in the air) pixyie xbd toe stall. 2 moves imo, but they look like one.

sorry to go a bit offtopic, but damon just go me going

I am really glad this was brought up.

I have started hitting more and more flying tricks that don't recieve any extra adds (that they deserve, but I'm concerned with) for their added difficulty.

A legover ending on a flying toe stall that you set into a dimwalk is obviously not the same as just legover>dimwalk, the flying toe stall makes the legover AND the dimwalk much harder.

I am not sure what will be done with jobs to account for the new body component of flying.

I think in time flying will be used alot more and we will start to say things like frontside or backside flying somethingerother.

For example, I have hit frontside flying, backside flying and full flying mirage which are all clearly not standard mirages but jobs does not account for them yet.

Full flying is a pretty crazy concept, I will try to get some good full flying tricks on tape.

(Full flying is any trick that starts and ends with a flying stall)

PS ebo, I am hoping to be able to link flying tricks in time, cool shit to come!

That flying shit is crazy hard to get timed right, I was playing around it the other day. It's definately a cool concept to explore further, and will most definately break the adds system and take jobs notation with it.

Put down the video games.

We might as well making stepping sets a transitional move too, and then all shufflers will get major bonus points.

Just a faceless person across the continent whom I may insult all I want wrote:

Never said that, sorry. Where are you're reading comprehension skills? Spend too much time with skipping class for footbag, do you?
...then he wrote:WHEN YOU PENDULUM, YOU BRING THE BAG ---FROM--- A TOE STALL TO AN IMPOSSIBLE-TO-STALL UPTIME RISING POSITION BEHIND UR BODY.
...then wrote:But doing a trick out of a pendulum is TOUGH! Even a pendulum>mirage is much much harder than a toe set to mirage.
I suppose you didn't say "only", but I read those two parts and assumed wrong obviously. If xbd-style-Pendulous Mirage is really as difficult, I don't think Pendulum is the problem. Go get some practice in on your 2's.
You wrote:The fact that you're even using the term "pendulous" far legover is pretty much strengthening the view that the pendulum is a set, anyway.
It stregthens nothing of the sort. It's simply clarification for something that would otherwise be assumed Clipper set. "Clipper set" is a set too you know, as is "Toe set"...but I'm afraid "Regular" Far Legover doesn't get an extra add because I set the bag from a "more difficult" position. The previous trick gets the add for catching it there in the first place. Add-counts don't increase based upon the previous trick's difficulty.

ie: "Damn that Smog was hard to seal out of Warp! Where's my extra add!"

If we went by that standard, Vasek's 18 Fearless wouldn't be 90 adds, it'd be what, an extra add for every previous trick? 5+6+7+...+21+22? No? Is that not what you're suggesting? (btw, 243 adds by my count. Impressive, eh?)

Tom, I think this might/could become the trend with flying legovers, toes, etc. as well...the add would go towards the flying component of the first trick.

Furthermore, I especially appreciate how you addressed nothing of what I said with any regard. The insults aren't necessary either, and they certainly don't earn you any respect. If I stepped into a circle with you tomorrow, I'd make sure to hit every trick you dropped.

edit: I realised my math WAS wrong. :D Corrected now.

Oh shit! Here is a flame war about one of the most craziest topics and I'm not taking part in it! I should have noticed this earlier...

Every time you touch the bag you seal a move and when you set it you start a new move. I can't get it why it's so hard to realize.

Wrong-o my Finnish Friend. When you "touch" the bag with a rake, you don't end the move. It is reaching the "toe stall" position, upon completion of the rake, that defines the end of the move. (This is the source of our debate and all other drama that has unfolded).

This is also why I proposed the same for the pendulum. End one move and begin the next when you have reached the toe stall position. Since the pendulum "dex" add comes from crossing your support leg, and the crossing of said leg occurs AFTER the toe stall position is passed, I said it would make sense to award the pendulum dex add to the upcomming move, not the previous one. The previous one should have been sealed when you caught the toe stall, far out in front or otherwise.

Very much likewise, a rake doesn't end when you "touch" the bag behind you because you could never stall it like that. You should end the move when you are able to hold the stall--namely, AFTER the rake is done. It's the exact opposite of the pendulum so if one is a finisher one the other ought to be a set.

And Regamey, you come into the conversation with hostility and throw words into my mouth. Not a good way to have me reciprocate respect. And dude, I almost fell out of my chair when you threatened me with the possibility of showing me up in footbag. You are right, you have a larger array of moves than I. Want a pat on the back? I am the only judge of my abilities. I invest less time in this than you because I have other priorities dude. You sound like an up-and-comming Eric Windsor time bomb, with nothin else going for you

You still haven't.

Earlier on, even before I joined the discussion, it seemed you were taking this personally. Everyone's throwing opinions and ideas around, and EVEN THOUGH there might be more people expressing opinions similar to mine, it doesn't mean we're ganging up on you. This is not even close to a discussion that should be taken personally.

As it turns out I mis-interpreted your words, and misquoted you by mistake. So what? It gets addressed, we move on. There's no need for mockery. It's not like I had no respect for you before I posted, I just thought you were wrong.

I'm sarcastic from time to time, I think that's common knowledge. Sorry if it offends you (apparently it's seething with hostility), but I'm finding it frustrating how I'm offering up my opinion, and it seems you've little to say on the subject at all.

To address the argument you just posted for Anssi: I don't believe that tricks end when a "Stall Position" is achieved. I believe that they end at the exact moment the following trick begins. Smear > Atom Smasher. Smear ends as the bag is set back up from a toe stall position. Atom Smasher begins at the same point. If there's no discernable break in movement between the pendulum and the rest of the trick, I say it's part of the trick. Yes, the add "occurs" as your pendulum leg crosses your support leg, but the trick doesn't end until you've started something new.

If you hit Smear, stop, hit pendulum, then do a Mirage, well...there's three tricks there now.

Pendulum, performed smoothly, ends a trick. Just like Rake.

Spinning Ducking PS Whirl Rake -> 8 adds.

Hit a Mirage after it, it's 2 adds.

Symp Atomic ss Symp Eggbeater Pendulum -> 8 adds.

Hit a Mirage after it? Yep, still 2 adds.
