Cheers Hagsey. Yeah I'm back in Tas!
Dylan and I hitchhiked down to Hobart the other day. Fairly uneventful. We caught two lifts - one was short and the other was the rest of the way down. Unfortuantly the guy was a hardcore christian and preached the whole time - but it wasn't that bad.
We've been playing lots of footbag recently too. We played yesterday and I hit symp eggbeater.
Then last night we went to the Hobart Fringe Festival and busked there, but ended up performing on the stage - which was very small, dark and rickity - so it felt like it was always about to break. You could hardly see the bag at all either - it was probably a lot like the St Kilda festival - but the crowd loved it.
Today we played a little too.

Yo,
So today was the Tas Uni Societies day. What that meant was basically lots of societies trying to bribe people into joining their societies with really cheap alcohol.
Dylan and I played before drinking and were busting it up - hitting some really long runs and getting big props off total strangers.
I've started hitting eggbeaters bsos and also stuff like pdx eggbeaters and even bedwetter - all pretty cool since I've only just started really drilling them.
I guess I've been fairly motivated to be drilling and working hard recently - mainly due, I think, to the fucked Aus Champs results - which is kind of strange since I doubt I'm going to compete at the next event. Who knows though - it's a long time away and part of me doesn't like taking such a soft way out - anyway I don't want to spend weeks practicing to be beaten by biased judges who vote for their friends.
We had no water today - which sucked - so after we played we were a lot dehydrated and were forced to drink alcohol to recover
Somehow we managed to complete get free alcohol - which was cool until near the end of the day when I threw up in the middle of the uni bar. I wasn't as drunk as people thought though and having now slept it off feel fine.
My legs are feeling really good - which is cool since Dylan and I have been having big sessions everyday. Oh, yesterday I beat the toe stall world record and hit 1235 - to a drop
I felt pretty strong after though and am sure that I could easily hit over 2000 if I ever put my mind to it.

You have got to be there jeremy.
Just come for the shred and good times, you don't need to compete.
Props on the spew in the middle of the uni bar. If you were drinking out of a jug, it could have been a powerful tool in that situation.
peace

Yo,
Well fuck, it's been fucking ages since I last posted here. I actually enjoy posting - it's like a chance to get lots of shit off my chest.
Right now I'm at a party which started really cool, until all the hot chicks left and I was forced to just get as drunk as I could, which right now seems to be a lot drunker than you think - what's with all the mignifier shit and why does it come up when I'm typing.
Anyway things have gone down hill and I need to get high or something. Shit.
Anyway today, or at least a few days ago - I don't know I can hardly check my email at all - I got some fantsastic emails from people complementing me on sponsoring a footbag comp with a few bags - In all honesty, I'd much rather get these kinds of emails then any money - I love footbag and I love doing what I can to build it into the worlds biggest religion - or whatever you want to call it... It's my religion anyway.
I'm really looking forward to poland and Finaland - huge shit going on every where! Anyway The whole thing should be a blast. I'm basically working full time just to get there - I don't care what happens next.
Wow maybe I'm more drunk than I think, whatever
Shred forever.

Hey Ners - It should be killer - I can't wait. Poland sounds like the bomb fo shizza y'all.
Actually I'm now planning on having a proper trip to europe - backpacking around all the footbag countries and getting a working visa. So shredders from Poland, Estonia, Finland, Czech rep, Austria, Hungary, France, Germany and anywhere else be prepared - I'll probably stay in Europe for about 6 months - but I might go a full year (not sure about winter...)
Sorry Alex, I have no plans of coming to Melbourne in the near future.
I finished apple picking today, which was cool. So a few days of chilling before I get another job. Dylan and I are going to do some serious shredding and hopefully make a video too - which should be cool. Look out for it soonish.
We did a demo on Sunday at the Huonville Youth Festival or something - it went really well, there was a dj, some pro skaters, a fashion show and some other stuff. We both played hard since it was our first shred in a week. - Some stuff from me - blur>pixie paradon rep. fear>smear>atom repeat. fog>pigbeater. I'm stoked on my eggbeaters - It's only really been in the last month that I've managed to get some consistancy over them. Also it's great to be getting back into fairy sets - I had them going ok for a while and then forgot about them but they're definitly getting strong again. Oh blur>phoenix rep. too. I seem to getting into repeat combos a lot more for some reason.
Dylan was shredding well too - he hit 6 or 7 consecutive spinning whirls - which is his new record and lots of really nice long runs.
I also broke my sleepless record the night of my last post and went just over 40 hours without sleep. Finally starting to get some respectability although I think I can definilty break the 48 hour mark soon
Well I have no big plans but maybe.
Oh yeah we went out and partied it up at Dan's Bar in Franklin - in the pasy when we've been there there has been only like 3 or 4 other people in the bar but on Saturday night it was completely packed - there was a cool band from Melbourne playing too. I have been drinking a lot less alcohol lately too - which is probably a good thing. Cutting down on all intoxicants. Once Dylan leaves I'm going to try and go until July without any - or at least no more than 3 beers in a night.
I've also started working out a little again and getting some fitness back. I'm really stoked about Europe so I figure it's best to be in the best shape I can be for it.
I can't believe my ear lobes

Good thing about not drinking alcohol, Jeremy. I haven't drunk for over a year. Sometimes a beer. I haven't been drunken for a lot longer. And now I don't smoke weed anymore. I think since the end of November. Good thing definatelly. So go for it, and don't drink alcohol!
Beer is actually good, and the amount of ethanol in 0,5 l beer is burned in really short time by your body. And it has a lot of vitamins microelements.
Hope to meet you, when you'll be in Poland.

Cheers!
Actually I decided today to start collecting beer bottles (only different ones) - so maybe I'll allow myself the odd bottle of beer from time to time. My collection is already 7 bottles big - so that's ok I guess.
Dylan and I shreded today. My legs were feeling shitty though. Can't really remember hitting much. Mainly just drilled stuff. Oh, I hit magellan>nallegam bsos - which seems to be the combo of the week.
What I was really stoked about was managing to juggle some clubs, four balls and to kind of get the "box" down with 3 balls (I didn't do these tricks all at once unfortuantly - but I was still stoked)
That's about all I have to report! Will shred again tomorrow.

Cool.
Had a big hangover this morning thanks to staying up all night drinking cocktails with my brothers girlfriend (while my brother played computer games
). Went to bed at 5am and Dylan woke me up at 10am. Had a short shred but was feeling pretty shitty. Hit some new moves though (and some old favourites).
Halfspin double pineapple
El Tappo
El sqeezy
Rainbow
Monster From the Black Lagoon
Some Woman (but only because she was walking past too close and she was ok)
Muscle move>ss mm>op mm>ss mm.
Also Dylan and I got 73 hacks...
Cocktail party tonight

Yo.
Hmm not much to report, not sure why I'm writing this even - it will probably be a long and boring non footbaggy post. Didn't play today - but should definitly get a camera by tomorrow.
Am getting up tomorrow at 5am to go to the dawn ANZAC day service. ANZAC day is the day Australia and New Zealand remember the dead from wars we've fought in. It's a very big day in our culture. It's on the date the first Australian troops landed in Turkey in world war 1 - you have have seen the movie Gallipoli (Mel Gibson, directed by Peter Weir). Anyway it's a pretty meaningful day in Australia - probably our most important national day. Even though I'm a pacifist and totally against war - the day means a great deal to me.
The two guys who we were travelling with have left - which is sad since we were with them for a few months now. It's just me and Dylan now (and all my hobart friends). Dylan's going soon too, so I'm going to have to go back to pretty much playing footbag by my self - which I'm really bummed about although I'm going to do some serious drilling when he leaves and get in really good shape.
I guess the other thing going on is this girl I've met - whose really cool, but I don't really know if I want a relationship or not. I dunno we'll see what happens anyway.
Oh last night was a blast. Cocktail party - then hitting the town. Some girl we were with pashed all the guys - which since I was last was a bit of a turn off (I mean like kissed the guy, moved to the next) - and she probably thinks I'm the worst kisser ever - I almost backed away but thought that might be a little offensive. Also she fights with my twin brother all the time and I guess that gives me a bad impression.
Tried a lot of different beers and didn't go to bed until 5:30. Crazily I'm getting up at 5 am in the morning - which means I'll have been awake at 5 am 3 nights in a row. Staying up till 5 is cool, getting up at 5 sucks big time.
Oh today I watched "Sin City" which is an awesome film - I really liked it. Film noir style but even funkier. I made the big call that it's Bruce Willis' best film - but I'm not so sure. Anyway it made a really good impression. I'm going to go see it at the cinimas when it comes out (it was pirated). Also managed to drink from 2 till 11 - which is quite good going.
My poor liver - I've killed it the last few days I think.
Anyway I'm just preparing myself for when I go without alcohol (or only small amounts) fairly soon. Argh that's a scary thought for a proud alcoholic.
Hmm I'm really exausted now so I think I'm definitly going to sleep.
Peace

So we finally got a camera to do some filming! Borrowing the camera off the parents of my brothers girlfriend.
We filmed a bit today - got some okay footage. I won't tell you what went down - you'll have to see it.
Also filmed a sick 3 combo. It's pretty cool although I doubt it will win. I'm going to try and hit a harder one first.
Dylan was playing well and hit some nice stuff.
Also my football team one their game today - so that was awesome.
Getting up at 5 am for the ANZAC day services sucked but I'm glad I did.

I just wanted to make a quick post about some thoughts I've had recently.
It seems like the last week has been a little aggressive. A lot of people have been getting pissed off about a lot of stuff. One person sent me a message saying:
I hope we try to remember that beyond everything else - we are connected with an obsession and a passion for the coolest sport in the world. If you play footbag you are a friend of mine no matter what you think about the world. There are too few of us to fight like little kids. Lets all try to grow up and act like adults - even if we aren't legally adults.

Clearly the problems occuring have not been because of one person alone. If one person has a problem, the community has a problem and I love this community so I don't want to see it fall apart. Many people have been preaching tolerance and I hope to see that continue. But we also need to think about the consequences of our actions. If you are going to attack somebodies beliefs or ideas - make sure you think about how they will react. If you are insulting and they have a repution for getting angry quickly then probably it's your fault as much as theirs. Sometimes you can be mislead like the messages I got earlier in the week but you still have to be responsible for your own actions. I know there is a big range of different kinds of people on this forum and I'm sure there will be more arguements and people will say things they later regret. I read through my old posts and often fight the urge to delete them... However I take responsibility for my actions and posts - when I say something thoughtless that I regret, I try and resolve the issue. I'd rather be at peace with people than win the arguement. You are my natural born enemy, plain and simply, I cannot change you, but I wish you'd change yourself.
