our film professor lately brought a list of the crew members of
the expressionists in the 20s who directly left germany - it were
like 99%.
thats an interesting thing... a country loosing all his artists.
but then we had fassbinder after war, its so sad that he died so

its a shame that nearly nobody likes film as an art where you can
use your brain to reflect life in any free form but only as this
ridicilous illusionary variety theatre like thing where you walk out
of the cinema dumber than you were before.
and then you have george clooney on this ridicilous oscar fiack
celebreting himself and everything is wonderful like those hollywood
movies because life is so wonderful and everybodies rich and
he says something like "i like XXX so much because he really does
something for black ppl in movies" or something like that.....on a
show where black ppl are never interviewed by white ppl.
have you ever seen a white guy talking to a black guy on mtv?
ive seen so fuckin many shows where for the quota some black
guy can say something and hes always interviewed by blacks.
its the same for latin americans.
those nazis.
i heard rumors that there are really people who think that this
award ceremony has ANY connection to quality in filmmaking.
LOL, oh my god. ridiculous. hahah those guys without any kind
of responsibility, oh man.......
except you like film as prostitution. as a simple thing to gain money.
maybe one could compare it to a sect this way. if you just switch on
tv it actually feels like one. everybody coming out of this little screen
wants your money and wants to scare you.
the funniest thing is, that it works.
but then again you have those people too who re-elect guys who
first strike on countries with ridiculous fake reason to keep the
money going and flowing the the preattiest tree on that wonderful
ranch where charlton heston looks sad or happy and is a REAL
man. HURRA !. life is good ! lets see the next happy ending pleeeaase.
pleeeeease explain everything in addition to showing it on the
screen a thousand times pleeeeaaaaseeee and then some sex and
some violence (< very important it seems) and then in the end the
are in love anyhow, JUHUUU.
it all such a fukkin fake.
my recommendations are documentaries, and im not talking about
this tv CRAP with stupid voices in the background but REAL
documentaries of the direct cinema (e.g. richard leacock) brought up in
the usa or the cinema verite from france.
klaus wildenhahn from germany was inspired by those. i love his films
for the pure and direct view for life in its beauty but also in its
destruction which is necessary to create space for something new.
