Modified Needs a Logo

Okay for those of you who haven't read up in the General Footbag Section in a while, I have finally been able to get server access so that Mike and I can handle many more things on Modified that we previously weren't able to do.

On of those things is to get rid of that damn "phpbb" logo. So what should we put in it's place? How about something designed by you?! Please submit your work by May 10th and then we will vote to decide whose gets to be the official Modified Logo.

Not really. I mean it should reflect that this is a footbag forum and it could/should reflect the global community that we have. Other than that it's fair game.

im on it right now Mr oh can I ever please get my IFPA membership its been 2 months and I still dont have it activated/did you send the money/is it their fault, errrr, Kaplan

EDIT: well here is what I have so far, it is not completed! any suggestions anyone?

Im looking to either put a little phrase/logo in that extra space on the bottom or maybe just centering it so it looks better?

Oh for crying out loud I sent the damn thing a month ago. I sent it in with my membership dues as well. I'll e-mail Julie and find out what the deal is.

Though it doesn't seem appropriate to have me headlining the forum, I like the modified.ca with the footbags though!

Maybe chop me out?

It's not that I don't think its awesome and amazing and flattering, its just that the logo should represent everyone, not just one guy on the forum.

I picked you because I think your best to represent modified as a community leader, outgoing, energetic freestyle footbag player. Who better than you? Your everywhere on this forum, you drop a line in almost every subforum/thread everyday.

Pretty much anything is better than the current logo. I kinda like James` one, but I think the font for modified isn`t that clear, and looks kinda amateurish. The Mosher pic is tight though. Nathan`s isn`t bad either, but I don`t like the font either, and the tagline for modified could be better.

My proposed logo is too big... could somebody turn this page into an appropriate sized logo? http://www.fluble.com/churchill.html

I agree with what was said earlier, I don't like the idea of having only one person's face on the logo. Although Tom Mosher is enthusiastic and his presence on the forum is well known, I don't think one person's face should/can represent Modified. If you want people, could we have a crew or a a silhouette of a footbagger (or something) instead of just one person? Or if you wanted just one person maybe we could do a "poster of the month" or something.

Work is soooo slow today.

How about that cool 3-D footbag that Chris Holden made? I like that. Maybe it could be modified a bit with continents superimposed over the 3-d image??

Is the color scheme of the forum up for a change to? I'de hate for someone to make a wicked logo and then have it clash with the blue/grey. Or for someone to have a cool logo idea then have to be restricted by the blue/grey. In addition, I was wondering about size limititations. Should the logo be the same size as the phpbb or could someone make a larger one that would be centered across the top?

My greatest fear is that we will put this to a vote, and that THAT will win, because people vote for it as a joke.

Then again, that`d be pretty funny.

edit: It`d still be an improvement over the current logo in my opinion.

It may get put to a vote, but it's more likely that we will pick a few of the best to vote on.

I like Moshers and Banders except the "Footbag Worldwide" part. That belongs to someone else.
