Porn, video games, music, violence in the media in general... they are all excuses to cover for the failure of parents (in most cases, not all). Almost all people I know that do stupid, violent, illegal, etc. things, most of them have parents who always let them do what they want and never punished them for doing some wrong. With the exception of people who are mentally unstable most violent actions can be indirectly related to the parents, but more importantly everyone is responsible for their own actions, whether they are insane, had bad parents, or watch too much porn. They committed the act, and therefore should pay for it.

Though not quite as good. In a recent Cosmo survey, over 80% of men agreed sex was better with an emotional attatchment (and no, just loving casual sex doesn't count). Monogomy takes care of the vast majority of STD worries (yes, you can get the itchies from a toilet seat/shared towel), and you are better able to prevent pregnancy is a planned encounter, as condoms only work 80% in preventing pregnancy. But that's a whole other issue, as 80% pregnancy means semen escapes-which will contain an STD if you've one. And if not, it may infect the hooker, and she in turn could infect you. Above all, HPV (incurable) is the most commonly transmitted infection, which condoms do not offer protection from. Now, back to porn.

Everyone has a skewed view of sexuality. Our language actually restricts it so, and porn offers such a fucked up version of what real sex is. Porn is geared towards the male's sexuality (I'm yet to meet a woman who masturbates to the stroking pace of which porn is set) on a variety of levels.
1-pace-set to male masturbation speed
2-penile/vaginal focus
3-ends with man ejaculating

and so on and so forth

It messes with a lot of people's minds where sexuality is concerned. It turns the viewpoint towards release/ejaculation-not pleasure nor concern for the female. The vast majority also neglect other aspects of even a male's sexuality-focusing primarily upon the penis. Sex is a full body experience, and is not restricted to penile-vaginal intercourse-but it fits in with the focus of virginity that is being forced upon us by [laughs] the health & sexuality curriculum in schools, media, and the primary religion in the United States. we cant blame too much on parents...i think society in general tends to blame too much on parents. i have done some pretty stupid things, but i have also thought about what i would do differently if i was my parents to better raise myself, and i had trouble thinking of much. other than doing completely random drug tests with no reason whatsoever to think my child was on drugs...

I personally think repression is never a viable solution to a problem; same with drugs. pornography like drugs are things that are mostly dominated by mafia-like criminal connections (though pornography is slowly getting away from that, drugs don't). To illegalize or illegitimate them just results in a gain for those connections. You never just illegalize a thing but people who produce, spread and consume them (it ain't the weapon that kills - take that as an analogy). Repression won't help at all.

I'm curious, what does the pornography turn your "sexual side" into?

What does your church leader say to "what if your mate watches it with you?"

I don't think that saying pornography is some magical evil thing that will "turn" you to the dark side is a healthy or realistic way of addressing the issue.

The awnser to this question is a change of society but not a change of mans human nature.

Are bodies are telling us to shag every woman we see. In the old old old days thats the way it was. most women and children did not survive the birth hence the result of all the shagging.

odviously its not like this anymore. with modern medical science the development of religion and or the desire for a mom dad union has turned all men into leashed dogs. We all know its wrong and we will not do it but the urge and the thought still remain no matter how much you love your significant other the urge to bang many many other women always remain.

hm. i think i watched too much porn and masturbated too much (some people would say there is no such thing as too much...its a matter of personal opinion, i think), but in the past couple years i realized im not nearly as desperately horny as i was then. so i think its possible that as long as you dont get permanently addicted, to a serious degree, then its not a real big deal, in a practical sense.
