parents vs. a new 32

Post by jbalexdarkelf »

I have asked my mom over and over if i could order a 32 panel of the internet but my attemps have failed. I hav also failed horribly at trying to make one.

I dont want to go behind my parents back and buy one or anything. SO WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Well man....I dont know what to tell you other than...cut a shirt and lock your self in your room and say "I will not let my self out until I can make a 32 panel footbag." That is what I had to do. It is not hard at all it just takes practice.

If you want to order on the net thats cool and it will be better than your first one you make, but with practice you can make kick ass ones and they are yours.

The choice is yours my friend...

Have a friend buy one for you and pay them the money.

if they object to the price, buy a used one from somebody on modified.

If they object to something else, then dont "buy" it, trade for it. In essence, tell your parents you got it in trade. they dont needto know you traded currency for it ;)

Or, just tell them outright. I want to buy a 32 panel footbag. I am willing to earn the money myself and really, your opinion is not important in ym decision making process. I will do what is responsible and what makes me happy, not at the expense of others.

How can they argue?

yep, those are pretty much the way to go.

Figure out what the objection is, and then we can give a work around to the problem.

Yeah, the first thing I thought when I read this thread was 'why doesn't he just PM or e-mail a stitcher, tell them he wants a bag, then put the money in an envelope and mail it to the stitcher?'

Your parents don't even have to know anything went down.

That's not even lying! :D

i finnaly got my mom to let me get a 32. She said it had to be under 15 dollars. And its NOT one of those from shaggyhack, I hav read many bad things about those.

I dont know what kind it is, all that i know is that it has like a dragonfly on one of the panels. Its still not an Abshire or Felix, but i think it will do for me.

hallaluya( forgive my spelling) but im finnaly getting a 32!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

EDIT: I'll take Bowler's word for it, though they look machine made & anything over 32 panels doesn't work very well

yeah, i was wondering if thats where you were picking yours up. if i could find my dads shitty digital camera, i would take a picture that compared it to something else, but i cant seem to find the damn thing. i think its slightly larger than the average 32, which is how i like it. on the plus side, like i said, breaks in real nice. on the negative side, one thing i notice is that the seams are a tad on the weaker side, though i have had mine a good while, and no leakage yet. also i like how the dragonfly on the panel looks :)
how much did you get yours for? assuming you have already won it.

edit-

yeah, i would never use anything over a 32. i mean, i would honestly ask someone else like a stitcher or something for a better opinion. im no expert, but the few people that responded to my original query didnt have anything bad to say about it, since you cant truly judge quality from the picture or description, but i like it. not to mention the price is quite good for a 32, especially when made from facile...that much we know, at least.
