Good call on Ryan - but does he still play footbag? I really have no idea what kind of stuff he's hitting these days.
I know that Vasek, Felix and Jorden are hitting some amazing groundbreaking stuff that sounds completely insane. I think those three are easily the top 3. You could do it on fearless records too: As far as I know:

Hmm - I haven't seen or heard anything about how well Yves can shred for probably a year now... I'm sure he's a lot better than he used to be, why don't you give us some evidence of him being in the top 5 in the world...
Lon, you're so modest, you ARE on that list, almost everyone's says so... I don't know anymore, after reading a lot of these posts I have to change my mind. Also, I don't know many European shredders besides the obvious ones, so I think that there are a lot of people that kick ass that I don't know about...

what are people going off of? i must live under a rock or something but ive played with a lot of these people at worlds and from this a lot of my views are completley different. i think i said this somewhere else about consistancy and all and how just becuase someone like mikko (just using that new video as an example) is good on video doesnt mean he can bring it every touch in a circle. people like bevier get majorly underrated becuase they dont have a lot of footage out there, but if when people see him at tournies and you see that hes sick as hell, almost every touch. and he gets better every tournament. consistancy is a huge part of being the best, and personally i wouldnt be able to rank people unless i had played with them multiple times/in real life. here is my top 5 of people ive actually seen:

Nicely put. Ranking people in this sport appears to me like an exercise in futility. What exactly is the point, anyway?
The point was that Dylan and I were watching some Jorden footage while drunk and were getting really stoked on it and thought "wow, Jorden might be the second best player in the world now" and then we spoke to Felix Z on MSN - who is very modest but we managed to coax a few vids off him and heard some stuff he had hit and we decided that he was probably better than Jorden. Obviously it's very hard to tell - it was just something fun to try and work out. We're talking about skill level, not about if you like watching them or not, but I do like watching all my top 5 anyway.
I guess we're talking purely technical ability. Like Jorden is in there because he can hit pretty much ever single kind of trick in footbag in the one run. He has probably the best variety of any footbagger except maybe Vasek. Felix is in my list because he can hit ridiculously hard moves and links as well as very unique combos - probably because he's really good at really hard moves. Lon is my list because he is super consistant, hitting really long runs and combos with a large degree of difficulty. Honza is really consistant and goes really hard - hitting super hard moves midstring.
People like Peter Irish, Jim Penske and Scott Bevier are still amazing players - I haven't seen much recent footage of any of them either, or heard about what they're hitting, so it's hard to compare them.
Of course my perception of these players could be wrong - I've never played with any of them. This was just a fun thing to think about - it has no purpose...
noone in berlin seems to be very eager on making new videos at the moment. so you will probably have to wait till after footjam, gfo, euros or worlds....you can trust me though, he is good

I will not say anything about whos the best in the world cause i do not think i have the ability to see whos best in skill, variety and stuff like that.
But i will say to all the people that say this thread is not good i think they are wrong, cause - This thread could push someone to make new videos, try harder and stuff like that..
And you get some updated info about the best in the world..

This weekend Lon hit 7 consecutive superflies. He isnt all just about spins and ducks and style. He shreds so hard. He had several 50 contact runs this weekend and a couple I didn't personally see that were up in the 70s-90s.
