I love the feeling of putting a face to a name.

Yeah, it was a good time! The Canadians were only there for a day (Brett, Dave, Byrin and I, as well as two other Saskatooners that don't kick) but it was totally worth it. ~31 hours total of commuting for ~8 hours of shred.

WORTH IT.

so MFJ2 has come to an end and there is one question that remains on everyones minds:

"what in the hell happened to Kenny Wunder?!"

He was sooo stoked for this event and no one has heard from him and his cell phone is no longer in service. We all hope that you are alright

This jam kicked ass. The Canadiens represented hardcore with kevin "the reggulator" regamy and his nutty six add toe moves and other stuff that shouldn't be possible, byrin "styley" wiley and his consistent craziness, bret campbell and his smoothass strings. James Randall's veins are pumping with natural ability, Daryl and his creative moves, and penske. What can you say about penske other than DAMN! Red bull brought the intensity with couches and free drinks. OH wow, I almost forgot brian from portland. This kid has gotten damn good and consistent throwing every concept imagineable into every string. Thanks for making it down some guys and I can't wait to kick with you guys in the near future.

i cannot convey my feelings of how the last week has played out, but here is a brief, abridged version.

we were delayed by the shortcomings of the breckenridge police dept, then
it was snowing so hard we could not leave and some of the roads were closed, leaving us turning around so many times it seemed. then we had van problems that we had thought were fixed several times only to fail over and again. eventually, we sold our van, put everything in a uhaul and drove here to coos bay, where we now do not have enough money to get a place and no van to stay in in the mean time:( anyway, things will get better, but i am SO sad to have missed last weekend. you guys are my favorite, so perhaps i may still make it there this summer to visit, but i dont really know how anything is going to work now.

Sucks, huh? I'm just glad he's not dead. I actually thought that for a while (lose a couple of friends and you start to think they're dead when you don't hear from them for a while)

Crowley: Ryan Mulroney is the Regulator, not Regamy. Regamy is super sick though. And you can't give our Riley's nickname to Byrin! Style Riley just comes out so smooth.

I'll post more on the Jam later, when I have time. I just had to share Kenny's email with you guys. I'll have our 50 sec Sunday night 10 o'clock news piece up on our site soon.

wow, where 2 start? I had SO much fun. I can't believe how far the Canadians came for a single day. It was way awesome getting to shred, hang out, and party with you guys. Even @ 9am before you left Sunday. I wish you guys could of seen the belly dancers! I really wish you guys could of seen the Sick Trick Contest too.
30 seconds to get the crowd to cheer as loud as possible (measured by a decibel meter). Any form of freestyle could enter. We had a kid kick off the event with freestyle shoe kicking.

Breakdancing, Fire juggling, Trials, Skateboarding, Doubles (Penske & Genz), Juggling...
MFA's Ben Little won the contest with 98 db by busting out knee set DATW, an awesome staff flying kickass move (you'll soon see the BoWalk!), and then an inverted yoga pose. It was AWESOME.

It felt so good to learn that someone had come from the Coast. Brian and Andy from Portland were a very welcome addition to MFJ2. Brian etched a 25 contact sick guiltless string with Jani Walker smack dab in the middle into my memory forever. Tripwalks are too easy for him. Very smooth and controlled while still being able to go big. Super sick. Brian, RU going to Folklife?
I was super disapointed when Kenny didn't show up. That sucks buddy. We'll still be here when you roll through.
I was super glad the weather exceeded my expectations both days. It was really warm with a nice cooling breeze.
And how could I forget the Red Bull sponsers?!? Talk about the most beneficial, helpful, generous sponsors ever! They brought a tent, TONS of free red bull, iced spring water, couches under the tent, they set up a disc golf course, hooked us up with a sick dj table, and were just super nice guys.
We had juggling balls and pins lying around and people were trying them all day. We taught 12 people how to kick and stall after our footbag demonstration and history. I gave them each a Freedom Footbag's Flyer, Freedom Footbag, and Lovely DVD for free. Just for trying. People were pumped. Our web site was writen on the front of each flyer, which has our kicking times. I just want one person to come once. I have a feeling it will be more though.

There will be a sick video from this Jam, that's one thing I can promise from this. You guys can even give me crap if I'm taking too long.

I got a couple of shred clips in front of a green screen too.

Hmm... the possibilities...
This Jam wouldn't of been nearly as sick as it was if it wasn't for the help of Jere and Ben. Those guys did so much and prompted my ass so many times. Tons of people helped out but those guys kicked down mad time even though they didn't have it. That's when you can tell there's a passion when someone makes time for something that doesn't have any available time.

With all that being said:
The 3rd Annual Montana Freestyle Jam will put the 2nd to shame

man that sounds like it was a ton of fun. sorry nobody from seattle could make it. we all tried but it was just bad timing. next year =P. montana was just the start of the northwest footbag month as i have dubbed it. next comes idaho, victoria, and seattle!

Sorry I couldn't make it out, glad you guys had fun though, sounds like it was wicked. I think I made the right choice going to LA though...I saved like $200 and had a better time than at Css, and I'll have a movie to remember for life.

That all being said, I won't miss next year! Just make sure its set up well in advance...that shouldn't be a prob with the University cooperating.
