how do you send huge files through email? Is it just like uploading something? You just have to wait an assload?

They're using a service called yousendit. www.yousendit.com.

Basically you upload the file to this site, and they send an email to whoever you want letting them know that it's up there and will be for the next few days.

Pretty nifty.
