Pretty cool my man. I have never seen anyone shred in shoes like that. Did you mod them...can you mod them?

I hit up the toe (made toe walls) but I've not a clue as to what I can do with the rest.
Any ideas

If you want advice on what to do with those shoes, ask Loren Baum! He rips it up in those shoes, and they definitely feel and look sweet! FootbagginBum on modified.

Props on getting those

They're just Rod Lavers, but instead of mesh, leather, or canvas. They're made out of twill I believe.

I have a pair of those, except in blue. I haven't modded them (and I've had the shoes since september), and I've barely worn them. But I think these shoes should be modded like leather shoes are. Taking the top layered material off. But maybe you can try it the other way around. Be creative :D .

Good luck with the shoes!

Loren had the top layer on, and i think he may have taken the inside layer out, but im not sure.

The top layer sure is grippy though!

Those shoes are sweet! If I had shoes like that there is no way I'd take the top layer off. Definitly go for the inside!

Is there any leather at all on the twill lavers?

If there isn't any leather (at all), then they are an option for me.

In regard to the striped twills:

Yes, they are vegan friendly, go for it. Emailing Lon or looking on ebay is your best bet to find them. (Emailing Lon is your best bet for shoes in general)

As Henry suggested, Vindicator asked me for advise, and this is what I told him for all you other curious folks:
Twill hunh? I wondered what you called that fabric...I just call them the stripy kind, lol. Ain't the chickmagnetness fun?

Anyway, there are some modification pros and cons. The pro is if you take the inside out of the inside and toe, it feels like your playing in socks with soles; absolutely fabulous (like a second layer of Sandman fabric, and if you use sandmen, it works like velcro). The con is that the material is so thin that it will eventually tear. Mine are torn at the base of the inside where the insole rubs against them, so you might want to trim the insoles a bit more if you plan on modding. But no matter what you do, I don't think there is anyway of holding off the tearing eventually, the fabric is just to thin...but even though they don't look as good at that point, they still play like the best laver you've ever had.

So, overall recommendation: mod the inside VERY carefully(removing the inside layer), and the toe if you've done it before ONLY if your serious. It will help your game, but greatly shorten the lifespan of your super fancy shoes. I am lucky enough to be just wearing through the sole right as I'm beginning to dislike the visual appearance. I would use these til there about 70% dead and then keep them for special occasions and events, because who knows how many more pairs you'll be able to find (I'm lucky enough to have another brand new pair, which I will treat very carefully).

Hope this helps. Enjoy your new "twills" :-)

Peace,
Bum
I as well would never take the outside off, but I just thought I'd say I think your toe wall building concept is very cool, never seen that before. I wonder how much better it makes your box stand out...? anyway, like I said to Vindicator....
Peace,
Bum

Be really careful not to cut through the twill, I just did a little. But yea, the twill is way thinner then mesh.

Sorry if this a bit off topic, I really didn't think it deserved a new thread... I'd like some feedback on a tutorial I just put up.

http://www.footbag.org/gallery/showset/toebox

I'm well aware that there better ones out there... this was more or less to justify me having a tutorial gallery on my .org account. Constructive criticism is appreciated and can be PM'ed or posted on my blog, thanks.
