at least a good combo won!! (no offense, nate) would you have me award an awesome Nate Pipenberg footbag for eggbeater> dlo> ducking clip> drop?
RIT Spring Juggle-In meets GRASS
hahahaha, Willy did awesome. He's been playing for less than a year, I recommended to him personally that he should go intermediate. I might not if I'd known he was going to bust so huge like that
but I did. I dunno, I'm glad he got up there and represented and won as a brand new, inexperienced competitory, instead of not receiving any recognition with the pros.

I don't think so.

I wouldn't call sandbagging unless you have actually seen the player in a circle before. No doubt, both Digges brothers are progressing fast and have lots of talent. It was Matt's decision to allow them to compete intermediate, it was there right to compete intermediate, and I agreeded with his decision. Both of them can shred hard and bust awesome Pro combos, but there shred says intermediate. Neither of them had competed before in any division, and competing against Gordon Bevier, Jorden Moir, and Jon Schneider for your very first competition is extremely intimidating... I know this from first hand experience.
But I'll admit Will's combo was pretty insane for intermediate but if you break it down, all the hard dex's are done with his strong side and only butterflys are done on his weakside. I expect great things from these 2, and I bet the next time we see them competing they will tearing it up in Open competitions.

i guess ill have to organize a few informal jams, i know brian mckenzie would be interested, he got back to me and he was to busy with school work to make it to GRASS, but disappointed that he couldnt make it. summer im home in gouverneur, but would definitely be willing to make a trip down here, since steve, andrew, paul, matt, mike, maybe chris (all other RFA members) will still be in Rochester. And maybe... just maybe we can pull some of them anti-social NYFA members out of their holes for a jam. Other than Alex Strassman i've yet to meet any of them, and i have heard some great things about them
.
we'll see what happens.

Man, GRASS rocked.
I arrived late Saturday and missed all of the competition but was still able to shred with the guys and play some four square. My bud Chris had a great time and scored a Patty bag... I got a footfighter that's pretty choice so far... I hit a few new moves with it (even footed Phoenix). I think the most fun was playing in a circle with Josh Gayhart, Aric, and some dude with dreads and glasses (never got his name - who was that? He was cool) and we were just messing around with stuff like guay and ducking and whatnot. Kolo kicked my ass in four square, but it was totally cool. The party was a lot of fun, although everyone who Aric was hosting totally fell asleep on the couches and then we got lost trying to get back to his apartment. Oh well. Thanks Aric for letting us crash! I was glad to get to meet a lot of people, although I wish I could've arrived a little earlier, and that kind of sucks, but oh well. It was a long ass drive and I'm still kind of tired from it, but it was fun overall!

Yeah man, you were really cool. It was nice meeting you... hopefully I can shred with you at a later event.
Thanks for the pics Aric! Totally cool. It sucked... I realized I had bought two [disposable] cameras to take pics with at GRASS and I totally forgot to bring them out of the damn car. Oh well.
