Never have I been so flattered or overjoyed looking at a post. I as going to post (and still am) about how fast I am, but two be references only with those footbaggers is outrageously awesome to me. Thanks alot BradSplint wrote:
There are certain people out there who have little fast styles by nature, Loren Baum, Vasek, Ryan, Jim P. etc. Then there are those with bigger flowier styles like Pete, Lon, Red.
Let me start be saying this: I bet I could get 40 contacts in 30 seconds, but Lon would still beat me (even injured). Not to mention how Vasek could spank me doing mostly big symposium and other high set moves (think spinning ducking again...but harder...). I think shred 30 is a matter of intensity, while routines are for style. I think big 3 is for those post-drop combo's you were mentioning (if you can't do it in shred 30 under time constraints, you sure as hell couldn't do it in a single circle run, which shred 30 simulates). And I think rippin run is supposed to be measuring the number of tricks, although usually time gets used for convieniance, but either way you can see that Lon is the big champ with that event. He has 2 events in which to duck. This one is to see how fast his legs can move and what he can squeeze into a limited run. He should be given a bonus for completeing the tricks faster. If he's not going to drop either way, it is much harder to do more than 30 tricks in 30 seconds than to simply do 30 tricks, even for me, and there is no other competition format that measures this specific skill.
Don't you guys see that this is where circle play is evolving toward? Soon, the best players won't be dropping it hardly ever, and will be doing such hard tricks, that they have to pass after a certain time. Circles will have some unstated rotation speed to them where each person has the bag for 30-45 seconds (maybe a minute and I'm underestimating). Each time you touch the bag you'll be trying a dropless shred 30-45 (I like 45 cause its harder), piecing it together from your favorite, most worked, and hardest drills (for example, I encorporate rubberman pieces a lot) and shred 30 will in all cases (as it currently does among the top 3 or 4 shredders) reflect a single excellent circle run with a controlled pass. We should all strive to hit runs like this more and more often as your game progresses. I'm finally up to about a quarter of my circle runs being like this, and am improving rapidly, but soon vasek will have his quad dexes all easy and will just dazzle us and pass it every run.
30 second shred .
