Last night I made sure to do legover>legover x10 (without dropping should be assumed) and pickup>pickup x10. I tried just practicing high straight sets from clipper, but they are still not quite there. At all. yet.
Today I did legover>legover x10 and pickup>pickup x10 again. I could see the improvement just from yesterday, so that was really satisfying. I still move around a whole lot because I'm thinking my sets aren't straight up so I move my body to compensate. I'd like to work on that some too. I also did a really nice (for me) set of clipper drills. They felt really controlled.
I’ve had a few unpleasant experiences with footbag people recently. I don’t quite get it, because if I’m offensive/mean or in any way deserving of that kind of behavior why would you call/e-mail/IM me in the first place, or even do it multiple times? I’m sure that people can find me to be rough around the edges, and yes I do have a fair amount of pride. But if I hurt your feelings, I’m the first one to apologize and try to not do that again. If you don't feel bad after being unreasonable and mean to me, don't bother talking to me again because I'm really sick of it. I wouldn’t take that kind of treatment from a close friend, and I’m certainly not going to take it from someone who doesn’t know me well.
And if you feel that you’re one of these people, please don’t respond to this subject in my blog; this is a place where I want to feel comfortable. Hmph, end of that rant.
The weather is absolutely beautiful today. I made sure to look up a lot while walking around outside. When you visit or move to a new environment everything is new and fresh so you appreciate it and the beauty just stands out. After being in a place for a long time it's really easy to overlook these same things. So I'm trying to hold on to the "new" feeling as long as possible and appreciate where I am. I'm sitting on my futon mattress (yes, they are great) on my floor (yes, they are even better with frames
Edit: AJ just called so I'm going to go kick with him for an hour.
