The Greek Sets/Components
Hey, I've recently been hearing a lot about beta sets and a variety of others, including gamma and delta. I tried searching but couldn't find much related, except I think I discerned that beta is a pixie symposium mirage set? Is that right? Anyways, if someone could explain what the others are that would really help me.

the greek letters refer to which dex in the move is symposium.
"alpha atomsmasher" means that the first dex is symposium. "beta atomsmasher" means that the second dex is symposium. "alphabet atomsmasher" means that both dexes are symposium.
The greek letters in order that are relevant (because nobody's ever going to hit a move in normal gravity with the 12 dex being symposium) are:
alpha
beta
gamma
delta
epsilon

No no, The Greek words define which dex within the trick is symposium.
First dex = Alpha
Second dex = Beta
Third dex = Gamma
Fourth dex = Delta
Fifth?
Beta Smear means: The second dex is symposium. Pixie Symposium Mirage.
Delta Furious Blur means: Barraging Pdx Miraging Symposium Mirage.
To get more technical, if there's two dexes in one jump, a la barrage, double down, whatever, you just say the first one. So, Atomic Symposium Double Down (Your Mom) is Beta Fusion. Beta Atomic Double Down.
Got it?
edit: OOOOHHHHHHHH YOU SO GOT IT BEFORE ME

Thanks guys! That's a really cool (albeit odd) system. W00Tz

I would only add one thing:
The greek system was originally proposed for tricks which have any sort of ambiguity regarding which dex is symposium. With single dex tricks, it is obvious which dex is symposium, since there is only one. Tricks with two possible symposium elements are often described using frontside (first dex is symposium, also abbreviated "fs") or backside (second dex is symposium, also abbr "bs"). Same leg double dex components like barrage or paradon are counted together. So alpha fusion= fs fusion, and bs fusion= beta fusion. I tend to use frontside and backside to describe moves, because in my experience there are (currently)very few moves which have 3 (+) dexes where each one could separately be symposium.
Off the top of my head, pixie tap is one trick which could benefit from the greek system. If I said I hit pixie tap symposium style, it is entirely possible that any of the 3 dexes are symposium (railing ss mirage, pixie flailing ss mirage, or sailing ss symp mirage). But in general, the greek system doesn`t have much practical use at the moment.
