32 Frequency

How often do you guys buy new 32's? It seems like there are a lot of players who have an odd amount of bags/time spent playing ratio. I play a goodly amount (usually between 8 and 14 hours a week) and I've been using the same 32 for almost exactly six months now. Further, it's in fantastic condition. The material is plush and in good condition, and -just- recently small holes started showing up. Not that all of that information is hugely pertinent, but still, it seems like 32's have enough life to justify not buying bags every month or so. I guess people just like their bags.

1) Since i sew for myself, I dont really have t "buy' new bags every so often, but Ill prvide my two cents:

-if you play only on carpeted surfaces and take pristine care of your bag, a well stitched 32 will last more than a year, maybe up to 2 years. If you play on cement and you shred hard, 32s made of facile might last up tp 6 months at most, ans some may "die' as quickly as two months depending on the durabiity of the colors.

-Richie Abshire recently said he only expects his 32s to last HIM about 2-3 months of intense shred, since he plays outside and doesnt go easy on his bags.

-I find that I enjoy having at least 3-4 shreddable bags at any one time, and i would encourage any good freestyler to have several bags so that you can rotate playable bags while breaking inothers. This ensures that the chocest bags done get destryed right away- it makes them last a bit longer.

-I love buying a new 32 and breaking it in. It is a fabulous process!

-Lastly, I would NEVER be stupid enough to have a bag "die" on me when I had no other shreddable bags around, yet I hear about my footbag friends having this trouble quite often. They literally have to stop playing until their next footbag arrives, which on occasion, can take several weeks! I always have backups.

buying a 32 is never bad, its better to have more of lots of sizes, waights, styles. i usaly get as many as my budget can cope with at compatitions. at grass i came home with 7 new bags. each one im happy i bought

an on the side note, nathan P. bags are the shit, this kid was amazing. his legs are the size of my arms an he can hit so many things i cant an smoother then alot of freestylers out there. his style is so sick i wish i could share it with every one, and his bags are amazing. i have had mine for .. 3 days an put over 10 hours of hand breaking into it an it is AWSOME.
13 years old? what?

I know Zeke buys bag as collectables kind of. He wants a bag from every stitcher ... he wants all the different color combos ... he wants different patterns .... and he just likes bags.

He has a really cool collection of bags, and buys them like a maniac. He doesn't use them all, but he always has a couple awesome bags to play with at every session. Be it some not soo good 32 (i.e. from adidas) to just kick around and warm up or play four-square, to top notch bags from some of the best stitchers.

Maybe he'll post in here about his bags and why he has so many.

I think you pretty much summed it up right there. I just like all different types of bags, whatever catches my eye, be it an interesting pattern, color or material.

As far as 32's are concerned, it really has little to do with my shred. That is, I don't buy one just because an existing bag is about to be shred to death (that would take years the way I play). It has more to do with what oppurtunities arise and what $ I can spend after bills and whether I feel like buying sandbags in bulk or a few 32's. Lately I've gotten them in pairs, one to play and one to forever admire its brand-spankin new beauty. Some of you know what I mean... like when the colors are still bright, the pattern is vivid, the panels are clean and free of any patch jobs and it keeps it's taut round shape... no matter how much you run your dirty little fingers through it....

unless a bag is bunk, they last me from 6 months to a year. I've had a mirken that's lasted me 3 years or so, and it's only got 1 or 2 small holes in it. I don't pick my footbags up off the ground with my feet any more, and I tell others not to either.

I buy footbags pretty often... this year alone, I've bought... hmmm... 6 or so, I believe...

I love to buy them. a beautiful new 32 or even a used one in really good condition is totally covetable, and I buy them whenever I can afford it, and sometimes when I can't (like at GRASS

).

word on that i spent way way to much cash at grass on bags, couldnt help it tho, every time i bought one someone came up to me telling me about another stitcher selling other bags. temtastion was just to much.
