As far as I know, it seems that Matt and Kevin are active, with Jane and Alex marginally active (ie -- will kick, they just don't seem to show up regulalry). Kimi Bartram is also marginally active due to school/injury. I would talk to Matt or Kevin to figure out who else kicks, because I believe there's one or two more kickers in Olympia.

Peace,

the festival itself has music, food, and all sorts of other things
Just to clarify, the festival has MAD amounts of Food, its a cultural festival so there are hundreds of food stands with huge world wide varieties of food ranging from Frankfuters to Tai to the "big city burrito".

Also since its cultural there will be a lot of different types of music, plenty of cool stuff to kick too with like 2 or 3 different preformance stages. Its right next to the Key Arena where the Seattle Super Sonics play.... yeah, you know you love em, you know they kick ass.... this year.

Lots of cool exibits and fun street vendors along with a bunch of rides and the musical fountain (see stupid kids get too close and blown away).

Its the social event of the year in Seattle and Everyone is there, so if you like and or preform well for crowds, this will be the exact event for you. So big and interesting in fact that classes take field trips here every year, I went in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade.

Here is the link to the site: http://www.nwfolklife.org/

So not only will this be a cool place to jam, its a cool place to hang out, if you can tear yourselves away from the shred.

i haven't read this whole thread, but I did see something about kickers in Oly -- best person to contact about kicking right now is Kevin Richey <[email protected]> he runs the Evergreen juggling club and stays on top of all of the kicking that goes down in Olympia. A lot of us have been on hiatus over the winter. I've been busy coming up to speed at my new job, buying a house and biking/hiking for exercise. I'm sure that when the gray lifts there will be a whole lot of shred going on. It's good that Sam and Scott are on top of things with so many WA kickers out of commission. THey are the next generation we'll look to for keeping Rain City Shred afloat. RIght Sam, right Scott? :-)

No, I don't know what's up with that map, but there's a large patch of grass directly south of the fountain (the grey patch that Scott indicated). Around it there's a cement path with plenty of room to kick. The patch of grass itself is where a lot of bands play. Hopefully we'll get some free music.

Well I need a ride for sure. I'm hoping Lovely and crew are still driving their asses over for folklife, maybe I can hitch a ride? Who knows.

My birthday is the 28th, Sam, I'm expecting a nice middle finger for my 18th bday :P

The Sole Purpose Crew in portland are heading up there, or at least that's what Red told me. It should be Red, Noah, Jake, Brian, and me. Possible Clayton, but he's being a retard and not showing up to school so I can talk to him about footbag and stuff. I don't know where we're staying, I'll have to ask Red later today at our sesh.

I doubt I can make it, just starting a new job... grrr. Maybe though.... I'll talk to the Filthy McNasty at our session today and see if he really wants to go or not or if he even can.
