Tell us about your favorite footbag(s)
this started as the end of my post in the frequency of footbags thread...
I love having many different sizes, shapes, and feels of 32 panel facile bags made by many different stitchers so I can use whatever kind of bag I feel like. As for colors and patterns, I prefer to be surprised, or at least just let the stitcher decide for themselves. I've had the best luck with bags that have a soccer ball pattern.
If I'm feeling sharp and fast and ready for shreddy, I use my Charles Dupuy footbag, which is VERY small, VERY round (no poofiness at all to the panels), quite heavy, half empty, and very stally, if you play sharp.
When I'm feeling like something more relaxed, or I want to go easy on myself or the people I'm playing with, I break out my classic Mirken (ca. 2002). it's between the size of a broken in Abshire and an Ab Mini, super soft and stally, a little poofy, rather light, about a quarter full, and maintains roundness pretty well.
I have lots of other great footbags, but those are my primary ones. I'm also breaking in a Carol which I'm PRAYING will not bust open terribly, a Johnny Suderman bag that I got at GRASS (in my pocket right now).

My favorite bag ever was my Lonn bag. It broke in nicely in about three weeks, and continued to get nicer and nicer. It was really light though, and rolled off occasionally. It weighed it only 23 grams. When I got my new lead shot, I added some of that till it weighed in just over 40 grams. That night I had the best session ever with it. Unfortunately, it only lasted half an hour till a seam broke. I repaired it, blah blah blah, then lost it in New Orleans. Just a couple days ago, my grandmother found it, and plans to mail it back soon.
my felix i got from jim jansen that he got from felix at 2005 worlds. he said that felix said (
) that it was a new style of stitching for him an its different, in witch it is i never have seen another felix any where close to it, its not very poofy very smooth stitching, red an grey, perfectly round or at least was. its filled with a mix of plastic, beeds, aquarium rocks, an small lead shot an some larger bbs i put in for waight. it feels to the hand AMAZING all tho 20% of the bag is now liqid stitch, i keep it tucked away.
as of the momment my nathan ^^^^ bag is AWSOME the white fabric is riping away like cotten tho i think its from the fabric being white an not being as strong as normal facie but i dont want to turn this bag into another liqid stitch bag, i wish i had a sick indoor spot to kick so i could make it a carpet bag only. i plan on buying another nathan bag as soon as i can. defenetly not white this time tho
all my mr sandmans are pretty cool
they are colorfu
anyone ever see a sandman that is orange, yet alone only 1 pannle orange an every other pannle a different color. neather did i till paul showed me his. im sure when he finds this trend he will tell us all about it

My favorite bag at the moment is my lonn bag.
It is a tiny bit bigger than an abshire mini, and about 43 g. It was so soft right out of the package! Now it is the softest footbag i have ever played with! But it is also really good for sets! All of my best runs are with my lonn bag, shuffle and spinning/ducking alike.
I also love my abshire. It is so soft and floppy. So nice. My mini is becoming amazing, as is my Jbag.
My footfighter is great for when i wanna tighten my style. It isnt floppy, but still stalls well.
My pipenbag is so neatly stitched, i have only handbroken it but the one time i shredded with it it was so sweet! Green hexes and dark red pents. drool.

my best two bags i've ever had are my Sandmaster, and my Mr. Sandman, my Sandmaster is my best bag at the moment because it's nice and heavy, easier to do a flying clipper with, but my Mr. Sandman is really good for consecutives, even though it doesnt have very much sand/salt left in it, everything i try putting in there leaks through the material, but i don't want to put beads in there because i don't like the way bead filler plays.

Well I sold the rest of my freedoms a couple days ago, along with my preference for them. I've only had an abshire and a non broken mini abshire. It finally broke in and it's really nice and I now have switched from using 4 panels to 32 panels. Its the only footbag I own now
Although nothing can beat a 4 panel LCF stictched by mario. They are the size of an abshire and around the same weight. They just feel so nice

I've got a gallery of various footbags, from hacky sacks to UFOs to .... well whatever. A bunch of random ones, anyways.
And then I've got 2 4-panel wilson sandbags, which were phat before they busted open (I guess I've had them 5 years or so now).
I've got a bunch of freedoms, probably 5 or so... but I've given a lot away to cheap friends, who in turn lose them and require new ones (rolls eyes).
Then I've got three 32s.
First off, I received a mini abshire (red white and blue) as a graduation gift from a friend of mine. I named it "Gershwin" (hey, the "USA" colors... eh). It's nice. I like the weight, and the feel of it. I feel like I haven't really broken in any of my 32s, at least not as much as the 32s I end up playing with at jams and tourneys. But Gershwin's pretty nice.
Then, I've got a lonn (yellow and purple... my college's colors) that I named "Sonny" after Sonny Rollins. I never got used to the bag's weight, and I never broke it in much. So needless to say, I don't play with this bag much. It's made well, I just wish it was heavier.
Finally I just got a footfighter (blue and sage [lightblue/lightgreen]) that I named ... "Silk" at GRASS. Actually my fraternity brother Chris named it that and I'm not sure I like that name. Anyways... I really love this bag. I've hit a few new things with it. I like how it keeps it's form in the air (I don't really like floppy bags that much) and stalls pretty easily. I would suggest that everyone gives these bags a shot. They're pretty choice right out of the bag (no pun intended)!
Chris got a Patty bag at GRASS that was pretty tight when he got it... I don't know if its stretched out any or broken in or whatever. It was pretty funny on the way home though... we stopped at a Hardees' in Virginia to eat and then shred some, and there was an open cup of coffee with about 7 or 8 cigarette butts in it next to us. Sure enough Chris' Patty bag went straight into the cup, and we dubbed it "Coffee." Later that night we washed our bags, and his still smells like a mixture of coffee and cigarettes. Totally hilarious.
So all in all I don't really have that much experience with bags yet, but I look forward to trying new ones. I've wanted to try Jbags, Mosher bags, Johnny Suderman's bags, and those Pipenbags. So eventually I'll get enough money (oh sweet I just got two jobs, haha... college tuition) to pay for them all.

Well, i've got my Iluja bag, thats green and blue. it is the most perfectly stitched bag i have ever seen in my life, Matt can vouch for that, he was checking it out when i was chillen at his house during GRASS. It just started breaking in very nicely in the past week or so and i've been playing with it alot. its a really nice weight, my digi says 43.2, and its smaller than a regular abshire, but not a mini. The fill is about half of the bag, and it sits surprisingly well. his name is Helmut
Then i have my Lonn bag that i picked up at GRASS, its a nice tan and orange soccer ball. im beginign to love it so much, the sound and the wayit sits. it weighs like 38 or something...my bro weighed it and i cant remember what he said. buts its incredibly soft and i love it to death. these are my two favorite bags to play with

I've had a variety of Mr's and a couple eight panels from FLipsider. They all served me well in the early days, but lately I've had the extra cash and decided to switch to 32's.
So far the only one I have is a FootFighter from Ellis. It is incredible! I've heard people diss them too, but I LOVE this bag. Maybe it's just because it's the only thirty two I own. . . or have ever played with, but's a sweet bag.
I like the size of it and the weight (sorry I don't have any measurments). It's helped my game HEAPS!
Right now I'm awaiting the arrival of my Suderbag and working on getting a Mosher. Can't wait for those!

i dearly love my charles bags - i owe em so much
Ilja also makes very sweet bags, and the one i had the pleasure
to shred with at FootJam was synomymous with heaven .
but at the moment i have to say, theres nothing better than a
broken in, new school Hania bag - all the stats are perfect,
but more importantly i've hit butter>dlo bs, muted tap bs
and atomsmasher with it !
so call me biased, if it pleases you, it wont change the fact
i'm happy as hell
and i will be even more so, when mine has broken in
