That's really, really weird.... I can't say it's happened to me, but to resolve the issue I would suggest just practicing your legovers and pixies. See how many consecutive legovers or consecutive pixies you can do! That way it's not boring and you get lots of practice. And I envy you for the PS Whirl (I can't do that yet :( ), but make sure you are dexing with your ankle and not your knee. Seems like there are some horror stories about how repetitively doing that wrong can really screw up your knees....

Marco its very common to be able to hit really hard moves but still not do the easy one's consistantly. This comes from learning moves and then going stright on to harder ones without drilling them!

Before you even learn pdx whirl you should be able to hit atleast 20 infinities and 20 consecutive whirls on each side, before you go for PS whirl you should practice symp whirl and pdx whirl individualy till you can do 20 of each (consecutive symp and alternating pdx). This is only my opinion, but I think it is very important to school what you learn when you learn it before trying to hit harder moves, because its pretty easy to hit hard moves, but what is the point if you cant even string the basics? ;)

OK such a awsome thing to read about, bc i had the SAME PROBLEM. i could symp whirl, pdx whirl, spinning whirl befor i could just do whirl consistantly. why, who knows at chilly philly jon told me he heard of this befor so we arent the only ones. but it is starange, now adays i got whirl down but in the beginning it wasnt always that way, just keep in there an youll learn it.

an another thing, i dont think you need to hit 20 infitys an 20 consecutive whirls to do pdx whirl, keep doing them if you can do them correctly, an besides 20 consecutive whirls? are you jokeing?
an did you say 20 consecutive symp whirls... bc if you can do that go post it on lons record list i think your the new vasek if you can do that.

Lol I may have exagerated a little, but can you imagine how quickly and eaisily you would school ps whirl if you could do 20 symp whirls and 20 pdx whirls? I think something that makes the best players so good as the fact that they are so so good at the basics.

This is why I do as many contacts of legover>mirage and pickup>illusion and alternating clippers as I can every day, and why Vasek does billions of contacts of alternating infinities when he warms up!

What would you say is a more realistic estimate? I know that I just generally wait until I start incorporating the moves into my runs naturally. At that point, I seem to have a lot of the consistency necessary to start on harder ones. Also, I try to practice drills with those more basic versions in them like whirl > drifter > repeat. How about you guys? How do you know when you're ready to 'move on to bigger and better things'? :o

I would say school the easier moves until they feel really comfortable. You basically want to get so good at the basics that when you try the harder move - it takes you only a few attempts to hit. Have a few attempts at hitting the harder move - if you can't do it - even if you are close - take a step back and spend half an hour drilling the components. Also try to think about how you should be hitting the moves as much as you can - train smarter not harder.

woa....so much help in just one night!cool guys,thanks....

somehow my problem is not realy drilling the basics,i have 1 hour a day where i drill just basics.fairy>pickup, mirage>pixie(but pixie still sucks),atw>legover and that stuff....but the ps whirl for example came so suprising and almost natural, just 2 attempts, and my whirls are in work for 3weeks everyday trying...but i´m optimistic that they will come down good...but 20 8O youre kidding me...i make 20 atw,but i do this move like 3years now...guess 20 is a bit hard, but i will do it anyway, seems like a cool drill, and those kids will pop over

allright thanks anyway
