don't bother to close your eyes. you'll likely only get 4-5 good shots in, after that it's only gonna be glancing blows since they'll be running and screaming. keep em open and hunt em down.

i schooled a little on my own today after a class, but i was super hungry, so i only played enough to get sweaty (maybe half an hour) then I went and ate. i think if i can manage to dat that every day or two, i'll improve exponentially. right now i'm only shredding once or twice a week, and that's why i'm not improving that fast. i just don't have anywhere convenient to shred... but once i move into tom's place (wooot!) i'll be golden...

also, i have a job interview tomorrow at 10.30, so if anybody reads this, wish me luck in your head, so the cosmic vibrations will jog my subconcious and increase my odds of success. it could help!

woah man, did i ever get ripped last night. i went to shred and brought my buddy Jared with me. (I know, that'll get confusing...). Anyway, we played for a while - Jared used to play in highschool in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He's still pretty good, considering he hasn't played in like, three years. He can mirage and almost toe whirl, and a couple other cool tricks, but it's not like he was just a really good hacky-sack player, he also hit footbag.org and knew trick names and shit. cool! so he might shred with us again, which would be awesome. Oh yeah, also, Jared is pretty much the only black guy I know of that plays footbag.

Anyway, after about two hours we went over to his friend Stu's place an ate a bunch of mushrooms. I only ate three grams, but i was NICELY toasted. They ate FIVE, which is pretty intense... Man, it was a really good night. We just had a super time playing videogames, talking shit, and wandering around outside in the cold. We were going to go the A&P (supermarket) but by the time we got there, we were way to high to deal with people, so we decided to find a coffee shop. We ended up walking WAY downtown, and found nothing open (of course, it was past midnight on a weekday) but we were so high we just kept walking downhill towards the water.

By the time we got back to the apartment we all really wanted tea (which we'd been planning on making for at least three hours) so we brewed a huge pot and threw six different tea-bags in, just to see what would happen. You know what we discovered? That pouring orange juice into your tea as a sweatener makes it taste REALLY good. It looks sorta gross, but it has that great citrus/tea taste.

I'd had plans to hook up with my friend molly before we both went away for reading week, so I called her cell-phone, but there wasn't any answer (this was around 1.30). So I started editing footage of KFM that i shot earlier in the night. I had exactly three minutes of film, which means that the movie will be almost exactly a minute and a half long... it's funny how that always seems to happen...

Eventually Molly phoned me. She couldn't hear her cell cause she was in stages (eww) which is a really gross dance club - a total meat market. She was super upset because stages is a shit-hole and she was pretty drunk and couldn't find her friends, so i went and picked her up and walked her home. Anyway, we ended up having a good night - usually i don't like drunks when i'm high on shrooms, but molly just gets giggly, which worked pretty well with my state of mind. The funniest part was when her roommate came home with the boy she'd been dancing with at stages - he totally had braces, and was wearing a leather motorcycle jacket. Man, that was just too much for us. Anyway, i guess i'm going to go edit some more, because i refuse to go to school on the friday before reading week!

Woooh boy. Shit is looking up for me, I tell you what. I got an email last night from the Analytical Services Unit - I got the job! Boo-ya-ka-sha. That's right, I'm staying in kingston and making money this summer. I can't fucking wait. Also, because I'll be in kingston and working full time, I'll have enough cash to travel on the weekends, which means shredding in Ottawa, Toronto (and environs), New York (state), and Montreal (tam-tams!!!).

Man, I'm fucking stoked. I love having shit come together for me. The only thing that would make me happier than i am right now is to discover that I can switch into civil environmental without having to finish this semester of mech. I've got my fingers crossed...

man, walking to class today i fell and smoked my knee on the ice. fuck. I can't even tell you how pissed i was about it. it didn't hurt too bad at the time, but then i sat still for an hour in class and it got really stiff.

It's actually starting to feel better (six hours later) and I heal fast, but if I can't shred tomorrow I'll be pissed. oh wait, it's tuesday. shit. all week i've been think it's later than it was. wierd. i guess it won't be that bad if i can't shred tomorrow, since i wasn't really planning on it anyway.
