possibly a stupid question, but:
do you have to spin 180 degrees on a torque? because the few times i have actually sealed it, i dont really spin...so it may not even be legit. correct me please!! (i just wanna know for sure...i suspect the truth already)

Been hanging out with a chick from work, lately. It's really cool to have this kind of 'new' relationship happening.
The best thing is, there's nothing really sexual going on. We just seem to really enjoy each other's company.
That's not to say that I'm not interested in her. I'd really like to see more of her and hang out more and let things lead to whatever they do. But because we work together (not too closely, same department, but not always the same shift), I don't want to push anything.
A while ago I got really torn up inside over her. I really liked her, but was getting some majorly mixed up messages from her. One minute she's REALLY flirting with me, the next she's kinda cold. That fucked with me alot. But talking to some friends, it seems as though she was going through the same issues about a work-place relationship.
So, we've been out to the movies a few times, and had coffee. But Friday (last week) I mentioned casually said to her "You know, we should go out for coffee again sometime." To which she replied "Yeah."
I told her not that comming weekend because I was going to Byron Bay to see Ben Lee play a gig, and all was cool.
So then on Monday, she askes me if I'd like to go to the movies with her to see Star Wars Eppisode III. I played it cool, but said, "Yeah. Sounds good."
So after work I get home, have a cat nap, and drive out to her place to pick her up (first time I'd ever been there). We didn't hang around, but left to see the movie (which was excelent, by the way. Definately one to see). I really enjoyed spending that time with her.
So then, Thursday just been, I got an SMS asking for my email address. So I give it, and we end up chatting most of the night on MSN. This turns into a new 'date' (for lack of a better term).
She's a bit of a plant nut, doing her Cert IV in Horticulture, and I've worked in nurserys before and really enjoy being out amonst plants, so we agreed to go to the Mt Coot-tha gardens.
We ended up having a small piknic and spent a good few hours together, just talking about stuff... animals, relationships and sex (this is big for me - I'm a bit of a prude, it could be said), and just generally... stuff.
I'm doing my best to just play it cool because, in the past, I've let my emotions run away with reality and end up working myself up into such a state that one false move and I come crashing down to reality like a fuckin big building. Total terrorist attack on the psychie. Not a good thing.
So I'm just going to keep things moving slowly and enjoy the friendship. I'll water it and encourage it to grow, and we'll see what fruits she bares.
Sorry for the long pointless post, but that's kinda what this thread is all about... crap.

Another topic - Today an Australian Woman was found guilty of drug trafficking in indonesia and sentenced to 20 years jail.
The reaction to this whole case has been horrible. It makes me hate Austrlians. Well hate is not the right word but so many people just make themselves look so stupid. They have no idea of the case - they just see a pretty woman crying lots and being told she's a bad person by asians and they make stupid conclusions and make Australia and themselves look bad.
The fact is that the evidence presented would have been enough to find this woman (Shapple Corby) guilty in any Australian court.
Her bag was searched as she got off a plane and found to have 4 kg of weed in it. There is no evidence at all that anybody tampered with her bag or put the weed in there. The only evidence of that happening is evidence that that sometimes happens - which unfortuantly is not sufficent evidence in Australia or in Indonesia - it's just a matter of talking to pretty much any criminal lawyer to find that out.
And then there is the really fucking stupid suggestions that the Australian Government should interfer in the legal process of Indonesia. Fuck anybody who thinks that should be shot. To attempt such action would be completely inappropriate. The seperation between government and law is very important, as is national sovereignty and the ramifications of such action would be far worse than one innocent person spending 20 years in jail. If she is innocent - and there is no reason to suspect that she is. Although her defence team is completely hopeless. One of her lawyers started crying when the prosecution made it's case. As a lawyer what the fuck do you expect the prosecution to do? There job is to send the person they're prosecuting to jail - of course they're going to say that she did the crime. The reaction from Australians to the prosecutions case was equally ridiculous and amazingly stupid.
And then there are more ridiculous claims that she should apply for clemency from the Indonesian president. Where do these people get these fucked up ideas. Do they just not bother to check out the process at all? The fact is that claiming for clemency would be admitting guilt - which is not something you want to do while you're still in the process of appealing because you're claiming to be innocent. Also the President has no power to grant clemency until an application by the prisoner has been made. So all the people making death threats towards the Indonesian embassy and other such stupidity are showing just how fucked in the head they are.
Also there seems to be a large amount of lies being spread by pro Corby supporters which surely are not doing her any help at all. People talk about why would somebody smuggle weed into Australia when it is cheaper in Australia. In fact 4 kg weed sold by a westerner to a westerner in Indonesia is valued at $20,000 au - compared with $8,000 if you sold it in Australia. The weed she had in her bag was also of a much higher quality than weed sold in Indonesia.
The worst part of this whole thing is that the political party I strongly support (the greens) is holding a 24 hour vigil in front of the Indonesian Embassy in an attempt to convince them to let her go. Fuck it's hard to vote for a party that can be so stupid argh!! (As I said - at this stage the government of Indonesia has no power on the case - nor should they considering it's a legal matter and things would look very bad if politicians started overturning decisions made by judges because of international pressure - especially when there is no evidence to suggest the person is innocent and the case is not in any way a political case)

so i have to do a photo essay (series of photographs on a single ((often social)) topic with captions) for english class on any topic i choose...
i chose...Youth Rebellion Ideals Through Footbag
im gonna go around Boston and kick in highly illegal or insane places and have a buddy tape it, then from the tape take still photos of nice mid-air moves.
POSSIBLE IDEAS FOR LOCATIONS
-on top of a monument in front of city hall
-inside the fence of a construction site, on top of a porta-potty
-inside the lobby of a financial district skyscraper while a security guard trys to kick me out
-on the roof of a Copy Cop downtown, obviously a really long shot
-on top of a teacher's desk in my school
-on top of a bus station alcove
stuff like that.
so, those of you who think this represents footbag negatively, go ahead and bitch me out, because i think its a sick idea.

NO GO!
We went out tonight (I wouldn't take her weak 'NO's for an answer).
Things were very different from the beginning. We were both very quite.
We went into the city. I'd picked her up in order for her to join me, and I drove into Brisbane where we went for a walk along the river and ended up eating crepes for dinner.
The walk back to the car was very quiet and the car ride consisted of religious discussion.
I pulled into her driveway, to drop her home, and left the car running. I wasn't game to stop the engine... that would mean too much, especially how quiet we both were.
As she was about to get out of the car I stopped her by saying "I really enjoy spending time with you, you know?"
It was at that point that she asked my intentions; was it just friends, or was I looking for something more?
So I told her.
I said that I did want more, but was happy as friends and would never push for anything more than that.
And she told me that nothing more would ever happen.
I was really disappointed at this point, but was releaved that at least I knew where I stood with her, and told her so.
I bid her goodnight, stayed in the driveway until she was inside, and then left.
I got an SMS on the way home and so began a long trip home with me pulling over every now and again, to read and reply to her messages. She said she was sorry if she sounded harsh, and that she didn't ask my intentions earlier. I told her that I was sorry that I put her on the spot.
I got home eventually and got on the computer to check my emails, check Modified and Ausfootbag, and do some banking, and she was online.
I was about to send her a message when she posted a fraction of a second before me. We talked about the evening, and about my feelings and seemed to come to the decision to treat tonight like an embarrasing misuderstanding.
I've just started climbing out of a major depression... things are starting to look good again, and then this happened.
But you know what?
I know I can get over it, and keep moving on.
I'm still feeling really fuckin lonely, but I'm still alive. I think I'll still have her as a friend, and I think that our friendship might become stronger because of our honesty.
It's really hard for me to tell people stuff... to express my feelings, but with this girl, I can, and I think that's a good thing.
Foxy pulled out of a sherd session tonight to go and see Star Wars. I'm glad he did because otherwise this night would never have happened and I'd still be blowing in the wind.
I guess next week I'll just have to go hard... attack the bag, and rip out some shit.
Mullet. Next weekend, yo' ass is MINE!

y'know what i just thought about? one of the reasons footbag rocks so hard is for comps and shit, you dont really need a facility with a specific court or pool or anything.
though it would be cool to kick in the bottom of a (flat) pool...nice angle for videos and shit...yeah!

today i played a kicking game with a few friends (most of whom only kick the bag...and not all that well) where everytime a person kicked or stalled the bag, they had to say a certain swear. it was SO much fun! it would be like "shit, shit, shit, shit, fuck, bitch, shit, shit, shit, shiiiiiiit (stall), etc"
eventually we got some stuff that definitely sounded like sentences. extremely obscene sentences...

Warning at the end of the credits for Alien V Predator:

Glad to hear it - I wasn't sure if the movie was based on a true story or not

All I'm doing is hanging on modified. Pity, there has been a good weather for freestyle today but I can't shred.
(If you don't know why and if you are totally bored and wanna know why, just check the Injured Players Roster or my blog).
Is Enemy at the Gates a good movie? It comes from TV today and I think that there won't be anything better to watch.
(Has anyone read the book "Red Storm Rising" by Tom Clancy?)
