It rules your life

Post by FootbagginBum »

Ok, I'm finally ready to admit it, I have a problem, I am completely and totally obsessed with this precious sport of ours and I want to know if its normal. Aside from chicks, trivial thoughts about what I am doing or planning to do in the next few minutes, days, etc. and food, all I can think about lately is footbag, and I want to play all the time.

At the convention last week with Bruce and Randy, they said I was too into it, that I needed a life too because if I sat around and talked about footbag all the time, people would not like me.

Well, I want to know how many of you are Completley Obsessed: all you want to do is play, think or talk footbag, and think it is the best thing in the world; Mostly obsessed: you make time for other things but because you know you have to, (not including things you ACTUALLY HAVE TO); Partially obsessed: its one of 3 or four things in your life that you spend your time on and like all equally; Enthused: Think its great but don't choose to spend more than the basic practice time doing it or thinking about it; or Casual: Play sometimes, think its fun when your bored, not any kind of priority to you.

If you are other than the first 2 and think its bad to be the first 2, state why, and if you are one of the first 2, please support me and make me feel better about being completely obsessed.

I wouldnt say im completely obsessed, but i could talk about footbag 24/7 if someone wanted to listen to me. And i would practice 24/7 if my body would let me
There are more important things in life than footbag, o wait, my bad.

cool, you chose a bad name though slacker. And Jonzy, I'll sit and talk with you and I'll bring a bottle of pain killers, the caffiene in them should keep us going if they become needed at all.

Lately I've noticed that I've been thinking about footbag constantly. Whenever my brain has dead time such as when I'm zoining out in class or while I'm walking to class I imagine myself doing moves, thinking about what muscles are involved in those moves, how I need to plant, etc. Sometimes I try to force myself to think about other stuff but ultimately it comes back to footbag. I don't think this is healthy.

I just find it tough to fall asleep, the rest of the time the footbag thoughts don't bother me. It's got to be this bored though, it gives us better outlets to let our mind work with footbag, before the board, I felt the same way abou the sport, but never had the overwhelming thoughts.

I put partially obsessed... I know that I think about it all the time, but I also channel my energy equally into music (my [future] major... jazz) and girl... yeah.. girl... meaning... singular. anyways, peace out.. (and yeah i was wondering if any of you had ever been accused of being obsessed by non-footbaggers... cuz i have)

Isn't it funny how the people who voted casual didn't post to admit it.

LoL @ those people :). I guess if they are casual though then the board isn't really a priority to them, so why even vote...hehe.

I said mostly obsessed, normally I'd say completely, but lately I've fallen out of the groove and can't play like I could..I'm a spaz :) gonna have to get back into WANTING to practice every day.

Back in highschool (4 years ago) I was learning mirages, clippers and paradox mirages, until i met this girl. I stopped playing completely for 3 years. That fell through so I started playing again. I kinda wish I didn't meet her. I can't help but think about how far I could have advanced if I hadn't met that girl. Stupid girls. Heh, if the right girl came along right now, I too would probably stop playing again. When will I learn.

what i dont undestand is, why stop playing because you meet a girl? its not like you can only have one or the other. besides, spending every waking hour with a girl will make you get sick of her. let footbag be that "in-between" thing that breaks the repetition.
