If you didn`t footbag, would you get daily (regular) exercise?

Would you exercise regularly if you didn`t play footbag?

Post by C-Fan »

This question crossed my mind today during basketball practice...

I exercise almost everyday. I usually footbag both days of the weekend, and usually have 2 other sessions on weekdays. I also play basketball on Thursdays and Fridays. I was just wondering though, if I didn`t play footbag, would I just find another exercise-hobby to take its place? Or would I take up another hobby which didn`t give me regular exercise?

So yeah, I put a bunch of options, but also feel free to post in here other thoughts related to the thread (ie, what you would be doing, if you think it would be better exercise or not, how much weight you`ve lost due to footbag, etc.)

I joined a gym around the start of the month, because I wasn't playing footbag, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to stay 'in shape' (insert laughing here).

Didn't work.

Now that I'm back to playing footbag (only once a week, mind you), I never go.

There's a fantastic waste of $50 per month.

I've played sport pretty much my entire life - it's hard to imagine not playing some kind of sport. I actually think I've exercised less since I started playing footbag - that's to say less intense exercise less often. But I'm still in pretty good shape I think. Actually me doing less exercise is directly related to me not playing touch football anymore - not my footbag career.

Probably not, I think I would be a pretty fast slob pretty fast. I just do music stuff, hang out, and work other then footbag, so without footbag i would have more time for music, which the thought of has passed through my mind many many times time.

Oh and, to be stereotypical for a bit, alot of women don't give a fuck what you look like, just whether you have a car and cash. And thats all I would really care about, "being fit and feeling good" have no impact in my choice of excersising or not.

i dont think i would get any exercise at all if i didnt play footbag...i swam competitively for 11 seasons straight, but gave it up last year. i basically did nothing for awhile, then picked up footbag, and now i do nothing BUT footbag.

I would probably find some other sport to get my exercise. Maybe basketball.

I would play football (soccer foy oyu americans), basketball and do much more workouts and bodyuilding... I think that I would exercise less hours per week, than I do actually, but I would do more different physical activities.

I am very health concerned and try to workout and eat right most of the time. I usually lift weights and also do some kind of cardio. Since I started footbag, it turned into my cardio exercise.

I would become an even fatter blob that couldn't move from my couch. Footbag is the ONLY thing that keeps me mobile. I'm trying to have it get me in shape, but it's a slow slow process.
