Maybe for you 10$ is no deal, but for me it's a fucking deal! I have to spare money for half a year to buy a bag, so paying another 10$ (I should pay a little bit more to the Polish Footbag Association every year) is something like beeing without a bag for 2 months! And... my dad have to work all night to earn 10$. And to some people who wrote stupid things: Stop fucking all this shit you wrote here, you're all unfair!
If I would free cash to join I woould do it. I would ever donate some amount of cash to IFPA if I could. But I can't.
Why aren't you an IFPA member?

Hey don't worry - there are no plans on making any part of this forum IFPA only - this is not an IFPA forum - if any forum were to do that it would be the footbag.org forum - and that's not going to happen either.
As I said at the start of this topic - I just want to know why people haven't joined. Obviously different people have different priorities and opinions and that's fine. Of course it's a good opportunity to try and convince people to join the IFPA but if you feel that you have a good reason for not joining then that's fine - I respect that.
Alienating people who won't join probably would have a negative effect in people's attitudes towards the IFPA and I don't think anybody would want to do that.

I understand to people who don't have actually don't have the money to join the IFPA. Being broke most the time myself, I completely understand
I found that is was well worth the $10, shit its worth more than that to me for the space I get.
its more like a donation with benefits when joining the IFPA. Do you decide on what charity to donate to based on what you get in return? I would think not. Sorry to anyone who would be/was offended to what I said. If you have the money to spare (some do, some dont) you really should help out.
I would think if lots of new members joined, the download speed on .org would rise. How is that for incentive

I don't know.
However people complaining that the credit card system doesn't work - you can still pay using paypal - you don't even need a pay pal account - you can use a credit card via that system - it may take a few days rather than being instant for the membership to be completed but it is completely safe and pretty much exactly the same as the credit card option when it existed. - Just click on "paypal" as your payment option instead of "instead membership with credit card" - too easy!
