wow man thats really disappointing to hear you arent coming to Europe anymore, i was really looking forward to catching up and chilling and maybe even travelling a bit with ya.
But it sounds like the best decision for you, i have wondered in the past when you would get into some extra school or full time employment... sounds like a good call.

hahah at least now i wont have to be 'that other Aussie guy' at tournaments this year :P

nice decision jeremy - there are much more important things than footbag.
I hope that you will find your subject.
I am so happy that I found mine .
Moreover invest some time in doing some researches for studying in a foreign country.

Up to now ( that could change very fast- as I told you about our elections) there is no fee for studying and students get a loan which needn't paid back.
Moreover there are many studies in english - I guess all international subjects are in english so there are tons of different subjects.

just a guess

good luck

:D Dylan bought them for me - he's so cool :P

There is a guy at the door giving away chocolates and stuff... 8O

Hmm...

Not much has been happening. I stayed up all night for the Champions League final which was at 4:30 am but I went to bed at half time because my side (Liverpool) was losing 3 nil and I was too tired to watch them get beaten. For those who don't know the score Liverpool came back and won the match 8O :? :D :D - at least they won but fuck I was pissed off with myself for a long time!! Anyway there was a replay on tv and highlights are about to be on in 30 minutes so I can relive the glory again :D

I had an ok session yesterday - hit a new move on a $20 bet with my brother :D (hard move too - I'll probably get it on video and enter it in the sick 1 comp). Mainly just drilled stuff.

I've found the best routine song ever. I just need a competition to use it in.

Oh the weird guy has left and I'm still alive :P

wow: three posts in one day!

Not much to report just a fucked up story.

Went and kicked a footy around with my brother for a while - then went and did some shopping (bought a rare triple malt dark isle beer :D - haven't tried it yet). Anyway on the way home a car drove past just as we were getting home and threw some ice at me and yelled "black c_nt" at me. The ice hit me in arm and head - but wasn't thrown very hard so I wasn't really hurt from it. But fuck that kind of stuff makes me angry. I really wish I could have gotten the number plate of the car. I'm going to look out for any cars that look the same (red four wheeled drive) and give them to the police. I already reported it to the police - although I'm sure there's little they can do. Argh - it makes me so furious - like the new move I hit last night. meh - totally taken the wind out of my sails anyway.

Events like this have happened to me before in my life and it's why I'm so strongly against discrimination of minorities. It makes me forget my pacifist beliefs. :x

Yo jeremy.

It is cool that you are striving to get your shit together bro.

awesome work on the pixie switches.

Make you sure you are certain you know what to do at uni.

have you ever thought about being a journalist. I think you would be good at stuff like that. I could definately see you in afghanistan or iraq reporting for foreign correspondent.

Any ways if you fuck up uni it is no big deal. I totally fucked it up, have a 6000 dollar hecs bill and have nothing to show for it. but hell who gives a fuck man. You never know till you have a go.

peace out
hagesy.

Journalism is totally something I'm thinking about. I'm probably going to do an arts/law double degree with a major in something related to journalism or politics. Of course this means it will be at least 5 years before I finish, plus honours if I get in (which I'd definitly aim for) so at least 6 years of study - at the end of which I'll try and get a job in North America or Europe - by which time I'll be at least 27 :P

Other news - I had a long session today trying to hit my sick 3 and 1 on camera but couldn't :P - I footed both lots of times but couldn't hit anything :(. My best sick 3 (that I actually hit) was whilygig>fog>smear :(

Important question! - please answer as soon as you read it!

Ok so it's 5:50 am - I need to be up at around 10:30. I'm slightly tired but not really tired since I didn't get up until midday and watched a movie (on the computer) with my brother and fell asleep during it (constatine - I'd seen it before).

So should I do an all nighter or should I go to sleep. If I do an all nighter I'll go drink a red bull or something and definilty stay up. I just thought it'd be fun to get somebody else to decide for me :P

First person to post wins :D

grab 3-4 hours of sleep. If you don't you'll feel fine and awake up until about 30 minutes before you were supposed to get up. that's when one tries to sqeeze in a short 20 minute nap :)

This is a totally random post - so feel free to be bored :P

Anyway my brother is a mod at a video game forum - http://s7.invisionfree.com/Evolution and I post there occassionally. Right now things seem to be really fucked up at that site such that if we implemented the rules that they have we could probably ban half the people posting at modified in a week :D (and that includes the inactive people who haven't posted in months!). Personally I've found the whole thing hilarious - especially this series of private messages from my brother and one of the more outspoken people on the forum.

=================

I don't think abusing JJJames and making him feel bad and not wanting to contribute is going to be in the best interests of the forum.

Again, it comes down to what we talked about before. Feel free to go mad attacking people's arguments, but DO NOT actually attack people.

This isn't a conspiracy theory and we're not out to get you banned. However we have an obligation to ensure that all our members enjoy their time at Evo and we're not going to compromise at all in that regard.

Now you probably have two choices here. Either you're going to read this, think "what a load of crap, i pwn those n00bs" and keep doing what you have been doing. Not going to last here long if you do do that. What I'd like you to do is recognise, regardless of whether you think it's right or not, that there are certain responsibilities the mods expect from you and to uphold them.

You might think it's stupid and in that regard I don't really care. But it's so easy not to be abusive and it'll cause a hell less stress for everyone involved.

Now, if I just wanted you banned would I really have wasted 10 minutes of my life writing this pm? I want you around dude, but only if you play by the rules.

And by the way, given that you've actually be banned from here before, you're going to have to behave at a much higher standard than our other members. That might sound unfair, but it's fact and you're just going to have to deal with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't respect you, I don't like you and I think you've become a prick over the last few months, but I know that you're rational most of the time.

What do you honestly think of these rules? This is becoming ridiculous now, and I think you could see it from our point of view.

I just hope that none of your objectivity has been lost since being under the guidance of a total fuckwit.
---------------------------------------------------------------

I appreciate your honesty.

Yes. I have an opinion on the new rules. However I do not believe that it is in the best interests of the Evolution Forum or myself for my views to be publicly disclosed at this time and I do not feel that I can rely on your discretion in retaining those thoughts should I share them with you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, I'll try and get you to trust me, because I don't blame you for not trusting me, especially considering how I'm portrayed. But I'm going to tell you something that I should be keeping quiet, and then hopefully, you'll realise from the chance I'm taking to prove my trust that it's worth revaling your honest take on the new rules.

Before Shadow Link was demodded, I was able to convince him to give me his password details so I could have a snoop at what was being said about me in the mod forum. I copied some of the text which implicates some of the mods on almost conspiring to get rid of me. Shadow made me promise not to post it, so I didn't use it in the argument out of respect for his wishes. Clearly I'd be fucked if this got out, and because you have it in text form, I'd be unable to get out of it. So there you go. If you're not convinced of my trust, then I give up and won't bother trying to woo your honest opinion any more.

Take it easy and thanks.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so my brother sends out a warning message. The guy responds with: "I don't respect you, I don't like you and I think you've become a prick over the last few months..." and then asks for an opinion? Hmm...

The guy then says "Okay, I'll try and get you to trust me..." and then tells my brother something he is not supposed to tell him. Hmm...

As to the new rules they've just implemented that are causing some problems:

------------------------------------------------------------------
MEMBER CONDUCT:

You agree that you will not use this forum to perform the following actions:

Flaming (Insulting Other Users)

Posts clearly insulting other board members, individually or as a group, directly or indirectly, are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to:

Name-calling ("You're an idiot", "You moron")

Direct insults ("Screw you")

Using vulgar, profane, or sexually explicit language as a means of insult

Using sexual preference terms as a term of insult in any way, shape, or form

Using race, religion, sexual orientation, culture, ethnicity, handicap, nationality, or gender as a means of insult

Offensive orders ("Go kill yourself")

Insinuations ("Are you stupid or something?") or insults towards family ("Your Mum...")

Using threatening, harassing, defamatory, hate-speech, or libelous language

Trolling (Inciting Flames)

Posts intended solely to annoy and/or offend other posters by going against the clear nature of a board or topic are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to:

Provoking other users to respond with flames

Provoking fans of a particular system or game, especially on boards dedicated to that system or game

Making misleading topic titles

Asking obviously useless questions

Posting false information as fact

Messages and topics may be removed at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of Evolution and its designated moderators. User accounts may be warned, suspended, or revoked at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of Evolution and its designated moderators. All determinations of what is "acceptable" and "unacceptable" content will be determined solely by Evolution and whoever it designates as moderators. You agree that the decision of the moderators and administrators is final, and you may not legally contest their rulings.

Intentional, repeated, or severe violations are cause for the banning of your account, all use of the forums from your IP address or your entire ISP.

Finally, if you're pissed, have a problem, ect, you have to be tactful, ect when you voice your complaints. Trolling and pitching a temper tantrum resolves nothing and will not be tolerated.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

:D - That'll work I'm sure, although I could simplify it: "If you post you will be banned" - saves a lot of reading. Actually I think we should implement those rules here for a week and see how many people survive - it can be an extention of the "voting off" idea  lol - I'm just kidding. It's just all so funny :D

I love modified - we really do seem to get on a lot better than other forum communities despite having (I believe) very liberal rules.

Hey Jeremy I finished reading your blog from start to finish ( 8O ) today and it's cool to see your progress. I wish I would've been on modified more actively when the shit went down with the other Australians so that maybe I could've calmed you down on MSN or something, but oh well. I hope all is well now - keep posting!

I think modified gets along so well because we are all footbaggers. Footbaggers try to help others not keep them down. (most) Gamers always want to be on top and do not try to help the progress of other gamers. Just my thoughts.
