dunno who he was, or if he really is from chi-town, but it was cool to here.
A few years ago there was a couple walking by our shred circle. They stopped to watch and I immediately noticed the guy had his Pumas laced up like a shredder would lace up his Lavers. We insisted that he had to play. Why else would anyone wear [feestyle] laced up shoes on a date? I think he said he was from Boston but I'm not quite sure. He shred with us for only a few minutes before his g/f gave him that look. Some of you know this look of which I speak. Anyway, I gave him one of our flyers and asked him to contact us if he was ever in the area again.

Navy Pier was lots o' fun. So many peeps came :D . Reid came :!: And it didn't rain 8) . Though it almost started...the clouds had to hold their bladder for us...thank you clouds, *bow*.

I'm happy that Jon is motivated to freestyle now. The Lane hackers are coming out on sundays which is a great show of motivation. I'm happy to see Barbara hitting stalls alot and lacing her shoes up 8) . Cuba, Fred, Jamie, and Kirby ( 8) ) came.

Reid came, and is a powerhouse. I wonder when he got so good. Swirl set having guy. me - *jealous*. Even better than at New Year's Jam. And such a nice guy...actually responds to Jon as if Jon's conversations are normal.

After the train ride, Kamil, Cuba, and I stopped at this shack for hotdogs. Such a small place. I've seen it for years, and finally ate there now.

Hmmm... Reid... Powerhouse... hmmm...

Maybe we should all call Reid "Powerhouse." That's a cool nickname.

I ran into john mahood on the Modified chat room.

Hes coming to town jume 24-26 and we definately have to do some heavy shredding with this cat.

Im pretty busy that weekend. soxvscubs game friday, gf bday saturday, but i can definately shred sunday.

It seems like he may need some assistance about getting around downtown and as most you know im not the one for it.

Hey CIC i was doing some day dreaming at work and a sweet idea came to mind.

Lets plan a wicked Footbag road trip for next spring. How cool would it be to rent a van and plan what direction would take us to the most freestylers. If we plan ahead and start saving little by little we can really go on a pretty epic adventure. Shit we can record every moment and make a dvd about it.

I dont know maybe im a freak who did way to much long distance vacation road trips. but those have given me some of my best memories.

Just an idea

Hey i got an idea. Lets make plans for a day at the beach.

But not the LSD beaches we should hit the indianna dunes. We can shred for an hour or so play frisbee go swimming and go goof off and roll down the gigantic sand dunes until they kick us out.

Its been a while but the last time i was there it was alot of fun.

OK, so I was initially writing up this terribly long post about how much fun this years Bluesfest was. But I can't type very well and I get distracted easily. I did have a draft started but I thihnk I'll just convert it to a list if the fun stuff that went down.

Friday
-Met a few new freestylers.
-Gillette truck. We set up near this trailor truck that was giving away vibrating womens shavers. All the women working there were drop dead gorgeous!
-Great hacking.

Saturday
-Fontano's. Got to eat at one of my favorite places. Best 'sammiches' in the world. Bellieve it!
-Nathan, Sean & Brian. met and kicked with 3 new players. Played some light hearted 4 square.
-Tim, Reile & Nyki came out. Whoa! It was like a CIC reunion of sorts
-Ronnie. One of my favorite people to hack with. Easily the best hacker I know. You have to see this guys vertical leap to believe it. He brings so much energy to the circle and we end up trying to top the other's flyers. Good times.
-More great hacking.
-Jerome. An old friend from highschool. This guy is hilarious. You put the 2 of us in the same circle and I gaurantee we'll have you on your knees laughing in no time. Good hacker to boot!
-2 shred circles!
-Busted toe guy. Oh man... I'll save this for my personal blog even though it was a group affair. Oh man.
-Ate at Jimmy John's. A group of us managed to find an open restaraunt to eat at befre we left downtown.
-Reile wakes me up on the train to show me the difference in the tan of his arms
-Crotchfire. We introduced Brian to the club's favorite game while hanging out at Tim's house. Probably one of the funnest session we've ever had. Awesome way to end the night.

Sunday
-Ronnie. Started the day right by hacking with Ronnie. No one inspires me to play at my best like this guy does. Even Eric and Reid from FTB hacked with us for a while, doing flyers and diving saves.
-Best hack circle ever! Tom, Reile, Meinard, Freddy, Ronnie, Nathan and I with Tim, Shawn and Jon playing though every so often made up one of the best circles I've ever hacked in. Everyone was focused and going for everything. It was so great to see all the players trying their best for a hack.
-Gabe and Saul. Gabe is an old friend from college that can do some freestyle. Saul and I go way back. We kicked with each other all the time back in highschool and I was more than surprised to see what a talented kicked he still is.
-Light up footbag. Finaly got to try this out. Not a freestye bag at all. Not too bad for kicking though. Still, fun circle while it lasted.
-Light up Frisbee. This was the shit. Nice weight, stable and lights up! Me and a few guys spent the rest of the night tossing the disc and we got so many people asking us where we bought it. We got so cought up in the fun that we almost forgot about all the people wandering in and out the park. Some cops asked us to tone it down, whatever that means.

So what made this the best Bluesfest ever? Tons of great poeple having fun playing all different kinds of footbag. We had people shredding all day. Introduced more people to 4 square. Then there was some great hacking on all three days. Not to mention the turn out of players. Words really can't express the joy of seeing more people come out to kick with us now. It really does make this sport more fun when you get to kick and hang out woth more people.

Taste if Chicago is next week. It's gonna be like Bluesfest but for ten days...
:D :) 8) :P :D :) 8) :P :D :) 8) :P :D :) 8) :P

Another fun session yesterday. We played at Oak Street beach and the weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot. It started out with Nathan Meinard and I. Jon soon came, followed by Tom and Freddy. Then to our surprise Barbera showed up with Martin and Cuba. It was a very casual session with everyone chillin' and playing laid back.

I actually shred yesterday and a good time doing it! I had one or two decent tiltless runs and my atomics are getting back to form. Even tried Ripped Warrior just for the hell of it. I didn't duck enough and ended up just catching the bag on my neck. My strings are still woefully short but I think I'll just build up stamina/confidence by playing tiltless then less-guilts then moving back up to guiltless as I progress. Well, that's the plan. I just need to keep having fun.

Played some 4 square at the beach. I think that's a first. Freddy even vido taped a few games. Not sure what the chances are of ever seeing any of that video though. One of the lowpoints of the day was caught on tape (of course) was when Jon was sitting there watching the Lane kids play 4 square with the spin rule. I was taping cuz I had nothing better to do at the time. Jon was bitching and moaning about how stupid they looked becasue they seemed to be spinning for no reason. I just lost it. I pointed the camera at him and screamed something that uh... was pretty brutal. Jon, if I was at all interested in your opinions, I'd ask... take a hint! Just let the rest of us play.

zeke all the time i have spent hanging with you i have yet to see this temper you mention.

That sounded like an enjoyable temper tantrum. i will back you in the fact that it needs to be said. there are times where things need to be voiced out like people shredding without a shirt on inside a mall  and there are times where if there is something you dont like just dont participate and shut your trap.

To me its rather simple to others its odviously not.

Shawn has never made fun of me being Asian.
Shawn has never thought it funny to whip at footbag at me for no reason.
Shawn has never tried to steal my walkman.
Shawn has never told me to fuck myself.
Shawn has never handcuffed me to a railing and stood and laughed just out of reach.
Shawn has treated me fair and straight-up so I treat him fair and straight-up.

I have my reasons for doing what I do. I'm not saying they're right and I'm not necessarily proud of it all. But yes, I am a bastard. Don't piss me off.
