Well, I just woke up, it's 11:00 AM. Yeah, i missed that 7:30 am class of mine, but all I have to say is "fuck it". Last night was really fun, even though my neck was real stiff and sore. Bob came in and I finally convinced myself to play for a few, cause I was scared I might mess my neck up further.

As stated above, Brad's back was messin with him and he couldn't do everything he wanted. It was pretty good seeing Bob playing without much pain, a few minutes into the session, he said his knee wasn't bothering him. My ducking moves were incredibly hard to do at first, but lovely footbag warmed my neck up within 30 minutes to where I was ducking and diving without too much of a problem. I think I captured styley combo of the night with reverse swirling pickup > fairy ss drifter ...mmmmm... I worked on string length a bit later that night, I was feeling pretty strong with my combos yet I couldn't get solid 30 contacts. Also hit 10 drifters back to back, I just hit that maybe a week ago. I did manage to get a 25 contact string with some nice uniques in it, so I was pretty happy for the night.

On a mysterious note, we are planning on having a very 'special' guest' at our Jam. Everything seems to be going pretty well with plans on the whole event, just have to get the smaller details done with here and there.

**phew** it was hot today ! I wasn't used to shredding out in humid high 70's weather, where every degree drained you of energy. I had a little shred session with Bob at the City Park tennis courts. I also confirmed with them that we could use them on Sun. 21st of the WV Jam. So everything is nicely coming together. Hotel is confirmed with discount, indoor spot is confirmed for shred spot on Sat. and also Sun if too hot or rainy, tennis courts are reservered for Sun. shred, website is about 95 % done, party should be diggity dank, currently taking care of buying shirts for the jam, couple other things are being taken care of, and damn I can't wait 3 months for this.

String length today was doing pretty well. I think I hit my longest guiltless today with 26 contacts, I've been seeing a pretty good improvement in consistancy and move repetoire. Bob was playing pretty well, my tip for you Bob is...- I believe sometimes you go into your moves too early so you don't settle down solid stalls, mostly on your clipper foot.

**Stands on podium** Solid stalls are key to control, which is what I strive for, and I believe everyone should want more of this key element. What good is a move if it isn't controlled and not pleasing to one's self or the viewer's eyes, close to nothing. With this control comes one's style, a unique blend of that person's character and creativity. So as the wise James McCullough's signature states - "style is everything" **Steps off podium**

Bob called so I headed down to the clinic to play a little. I couldn't do a lot of my stuff because of my back. I tried to do tricks where I wouldn't land hard on my right side. I'm going to ask a PT about it tomorrow. I hit flip fairy ducking butterfly as a new move.

I'm really tired from work. My thoughts are random.

I was feelin pretty good today and then I went to a cookout thing. Had a couple beers and Bob came over. I'm just mentioning the beer part in hope to explain my bad kicking. It was really windy, and I swear I'm not just making these elements up. So anyways, kicking went oddly bad, I couldn't hit much and wasn't consistant at all. Also, I'm using a sand blaster now because my Lonn has died. That is my 3rd excuse for today.

On the good side, Ilja said my bag was done, so it should be here sometime. I also hit fairy op butter > pdx dlo repeat. Other than that, my session was a short bust. I'm hoping next session will be a bit more upbeat. So to make it that, I need to eliminate wind, drinking, and lack of music. Shred on !

Hey when's the date for the WV Jam? I would love to play with you guys again! That sucks that your Lonn died, John... was that your only 32? I hear Ilja bags are pretty sweet. I hope Bob's back gets better soon. What happened to Brad? I guess I'll go back and read your blog a little more than just the last page; you guys are definitely a cool bunch.

Peace!

Hey Dave, I should be announcing the event officially very soon. It will take place Aug. 20 - 21, and you can find more info out on my site. Just wait till this weekend or so, and the information should be posted. I'd love to see you come, cause everyone that attended last years jam made it a very memorable one for me.

well, i'm FINALLY feeling good about my shred again. strings are finally getting longer. finally able to link some things i've wanted to for a long time. now my only problem i'm finding is constantly linking the same moves. it's like i have this huge array of moves to choose from, but i constantly do the same string with just different link combinations. and this isn't that bad except that its actually such a limited amount of moves i'm hitting. both sides atom smashers, both sides legbeater, both sides spinning, and then the basic 3 adds. and occasional ducks. haha. now just think of every different way to link those tricks and you have what my style look like. oh well, at least it's not 4 moves and a drop anymore.

Bad news: I have patellar tendonitis and will be out for a couple of weeks to a few months depending on how bad it is.

Good news: I got a new guitar to spend all my footbag time on.

Thanks Bryan. LA was so fun. I'll be out again sometime, I'm sure :D

My knee feels much better. I've been doing exercises, ultrasounds and ice everyday at lunch. The ultrasounds and ice really take care of the inflamation. Having physical therapists around to tell me what to do and not to do is pretty sweet. I still don't think I'll be playing for a little while though. I'll start kicking some. Rehab was its original purpose in the states afterall.

Saturday night was fun, we did a beer game. As you can see, we taped 40's on our hands and couldn't take them off until they were gone. I attempted to blow my nose, that didn't go well. Jeff pissed himself. Jordan made love to his fourty, and Brad didn't have the heart to finish the game, another night...another night. If you haven't partied with Brad, let me tell you this kid loves to pee when drinking, so that's why he stopped short...as you can see , it didn't stop Jeff, lol.

I just got my new Ilja bag in recently, I'm trying to get used to it, but it's filled so full ! The stitching on it is wonderful, colors are great. I can tell it will become a very nice bag. OH ! Another good story about my Lonn. Remember how I thought my sister's dog ate it ?? Yeah, it did. My sister found a brown footbag in the yard, I guess it finally shit it out. I believe it is still all intact and stuff, so I'm gonna wash it a lot and shred on. My mom kept telling me when she got home that she didn't bring it with her. She must think that a bag that has gone through a dog's digestive track will stop me, hell no ! So I'm going to have my sister mail me shit, pretty much.

Got done with my first solo session with an unbroken in Ilja bag and my new mesh lavers at City Park. I was going to go to the shell , but 2 kids were playing around on it, so then I went to the tennis courts, they were pretty full, so I just hopped on the b-ball courts since it wasn't full. I suck ! Using my new Ilja bag is really teaching me how much control I lack and is punishing me every friggen string. I'm lucky to get 10 contacts now instead of 20 and it's a bit frustrating. I'm going to stick with it, and i'm actually looking forward to the arrival of my shit covered Lonn bag, I'm quite curious to how much damage has been done by the dog's digestive track. Untill then, I am going to skool my bag control which will hopefully teach me a couple new things about my game.

This could be one of the most offtopic footblog entries thus far , but come on, woah !

"Ahhhh !! Holy shit fuck !! Where the hell did you come from !?!? God daamn you monstrous fucker !! SHIT ! "

I'm talking about this lil guy that was on/in the shirt i was going to put on. I'm sorry for all the people that preach animal/arachnid rights...but if anything this big is crawling in my shirt, it's getting the hockey stick.

UGLY. I hate spiders.

I ordered a knee brace so I can try and play at East Coasts. It's the same kind of deal that Honza uses. I wonder what his condition is. I guess it's similar. Anyways, I'm sure it'll take some of the pain away. I hope atleast. If it doesn't, I won't go and spend the gas money on bills and other "not as important as footbag" things like that. I don't really feel like playing though. When I'm injured a killswitch goes off in my head so I lose interest in the game. I'm sure I've built this up because I've been injured so many times and reinjured myself from playing to soon.

I work 10-7 now. I liked 8-5 a lot better.

Just finished a wonderful improvement of a session with Bob at City Park. My Ilja bag has reaped the benefits of being loved all day and all night. It's already broken in now to where I can do my usual shit with it. Hit 18 ducking clipper back to back, uhhh, i can prolly do more, but that's my record thus far. Finished off my session with a nice genuine 21 contact guiltless run. Other than that it was just a good day because...quite simply I felt good. You can't beat shredding outside when you're feeling good, legs were workin with me, and great weather...you know what I'm talkin about.

So, about those hotels.

Today I checked over at Wingate in, the host hotel for the 2nd WV Jam. I talked to the manager and he let me look around the place. I must say it is very nice inside there, I've never been in a brand new hotel, but everything is so clean and new ! The pool room looks nice, there was a whirlpool there too, i just missed it though. The exercise room has some nice equipment in it, and the whole place is well put together, it will make a kick ass host hotel. Just a reminder to those who are comin, just mention to them that you're attending the WV Jam or WV Footbag Jam, and you will receive a discount price of $75.00 for a room.

I also just reserved the hotel rooms over in Chicago for my lil vacation. I'm so excited for it that I just don't know what to do with myself. I get to meet up with a girl that I've talked to online for like 5 years for the first time, which is just crazy. We'll be stayin in this kick ass hotel for two nights and just exploring Chicago. Big thanks to Zeke and the CIC for helping me out and putting this together. We'll have ourselves a good ole shred on sunday, west virginia style !

Friday, Bob, John, Jordan and I went to Ruby Tuesdays. I got the largest hamburger I've ever consumed. I almost felt bad eating it, but then it tasted really good and forgot that sentiment. I was really surprised that I wasn't completely full afterwards. Bob got one too. I think he had more trouble with it than me. It was called the Colossal Burger afterall. Later we were watching stand up comedy and the guy was doing a bit on how much he hates hippies and ultra conservatives. One of his jokes was, "I don't love steaks. I love eating steaks because hippies don't like it. I feel like every time I bite into a juicy steak, a hippy loses their hacky sack in a gutter." I laughed.

Saturday, I just hung out with friends all day long. We need to do more stuff outdoors. Go hiking at Ash Cave or something.

Today, I got out my new knee brace and played with John at the park. I couldn't play very long because my knee started to hurt. I played poorly, but I expected that. I'm really not ready to shred. Since it was so humid and I didn't have any $1 bills, I had to dish out a ton of nickels from inside my car to buy a gatorade. Some people playing volleyball beside us asked me if I played "soccer or something." I replied, "Yeah, I used to." Then he went back to his business because what we were doing made perfect sense to him then. All the girls were eyballing us. Footbag is an aphrodisiac  *disclaimer* That may be a part of my imagination. *disclaimer2* There were no girls. John hit fairy torque for the first time like he invented it. It was so easy looking. He got pretty close on his flip too.

Now I'm sitting with a big pitcher of water because it's so hot. I would like to be talking to people but they're out doing bigger and better things, haha
